Public Exhibition of Important Landscape Planning & Design Schemes in China

Though Public Participation in the field of landscape architecture in China is still in an initial process, it has brought positive effects. The public exhibition of important landscape planning and design schemes is part of current public participation in China. The aim of it is to seek the opinion of the broad masses. Based upon particular situations in China, this paper analyzes two latest significant cases, public exhibitions of Landscape Design Schemes of Beijing Olympic Green & the Central Zone and Beijing South Axis Road Green Space Planning Schemes, pointing out that media introduction, voting, and feedback are three indispensable sections of Public Participation. The approaches by making full use of public exhibitions to create a partnership in public participation are also examined.

蓬萊(옛 登州)는 중국 산동 북쪽 해안에 소재한 도시이다. 2005년 7월 蓬萊閣管理處에서 登州古港에 쌓인 오니 제거작업을 할 때에 3척의 고선박을 발견했다. 봉래 제3호 고선박은 한국 고선박으로 추정되고 있다. 이 고선의 선창에서 高麗鑲嵌靑瓷碗 2개, 陶茧形壺, 陶瓮 등 고려시대 유물들이 나왔다. 봉래와 한반도는 아주 오래 전부터 근대에 이르기까지 매우 활발한 해양 교류가 이루어졌는데, 이번에 발견된 고려청자를 통해 이러한 사실을 증명할 수 있다. 2005年 7月, 中國山東省蓬萊市登州古港淸淤時, 發現三艘古代沉船. 在蓬萊3號古船上發現2件高麗鑲嵌靑瓷碗、陶茧形壺、陶瓮等高麗文物. 本文對發現的高麗鑲嵌靑瓷的年代、制作工藝、花紋圖案等, 以及登州海行入高麗渤海道的古代國際海路. 中國第一次從古代海船上發現高麗鑲嵌的價値及意義, 作了初步探討.
Tracking Control of Wheeled Mobile Robots Using Iterative Learning Controller

In this paper, an iterative learning control (ILC) strategy is proposed to resolve the trajectory tracking problem of wheeled mobile robots (WMR) based on dynamic model. In the previous study of WMR trajectory tracking, ILC was usually applied to the WMR kinematical model with the assumption that desired velocity can be tracked immediately. However, this assumption can not be realized in the real world at all. The kinematics model and dynamic model of WMR are deduced in the paper, and the novel combination of D-type ILC algorithm and WMR dynamic model is presented. In order to analysis the convergence of the algorithm, the method of contracting mapping which shows that the designed controller can make the state error converge to zero completely when the iteration times tends to infinite, is adopted. The simulation results also demonstrate the effectiveness of D-type ILC in the WMR trajectory tracking problem.
A Multi Dimension Service Trust Model in Social Network

Trust is the precondition to provide users with efficient services in social network. We often use the evaluation information of other users, but doesn’t use social network by the trust relationship. In this study, by using the trust network theory to obtain the evaluation reliability of user’s feedback on the service, obtaining transaction context information through the transaction background, a comprehensive service trust computation model is put forward. It incorporates self-feedback, trust network neighbor feedback, feedback similarity and transaction context information. It can avoid the sparsity and cold start in traditional trust computation. The experimental results show that the model can effectively prevent social network dishonest feedback, and more accurate to reflect the service trust.
Nanocomposites of Polypropylene and Halloysite Nanotubes Prepared by a Novel Vane Mixer

Halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were used to prepare polypropylene (PP) nanocomposites through a novel vane mixer. The effects of melt blend time and halloysite content on properties of composites were investigated. SEM analysis was performed to show that HNTs were well dispersed in PP matrix with the increase of mixing time. DSC showed both the degree of crystallinity and crystallization temperature increased due to the introduction of HNTs into PP, which indicating a potential nucleation effect induced by the nanotubes. TGA illustrated that the presence of HNTs had two opposite effects on the thermal behavior. A surface catalytic action of the halloysite speeded up thermal degradation of PP. However, this effect was reduced with improved HNTs dispersion. Rheological investigations revealed that rheological properties were significantly increased by the addition of low fraction of halloysite to PP. The 2 wt% HNTs nanocomposites reached maximum tensile strength because HNTs dispersed evenly in PP.
Application of a Hybrid Orthogonal Function System on Trademark Image Retrieval

Owing to an increase in the number of trademark images, evaluating a new trademark’s distinctiveness has become a challenge. This paper proposes a new class of orthogonal moment functions based on the W-system of degree one and applies the proposed W-moments on trademark retrieval. W-system of degree one is a hybrid function system on interval [0,1] consisting of piecewise linear functions with multi-level jump discontinuities, and has great advantage in representing information with discontinuities and describing disjointed or articulated contour shape. The W-moment is easy to compute due to the concise expression of the basis functions of the Wsystem of degree one. Furthermore, the new moments eliminate the need for numerical approximations, since the basis set is orthogonal on the discrete domain of the image coordinate space. These properties make W-moments preferable to the conventional orthogonal moments, and can be used to accurately reconstruct the objects, especially, objects group. So the W-moments are suitable for describing complex shape consisting of multiple disjointed curves, such as trademark images. In this paper, the W-moment is applied on trademark retrieval. The W-moments are first derived from the trademark image, the similarity between query and trademark in the database is then evaluated using the Euclidean distance between their W-moment feature vectors, and the trademark retrieval is finally accomplished by comparing the similarities. The experiments are conducted on MPEG-7 CE2 and a self-constructed trademark data set to test the proposed moments. Comparison experiment results show that the new moments give preferable retrieval results and it is feasible and efficient in practical application.
