      • Asymmetric dark matter bound state

        <P>We propose an interesting framework for asymmetric scalar dark matter (ADM), which has novel collider phenomenology in terms of an unstable ADM bound state (ADMonium) produced via Higgs portals. ADMonium is a natural consequence of the basic features of ADM: the (complex scalar) ADM is charged under a dark local U(1)(d) symmetry which is broken at a low scale and provides a light gauge boson X. The dark gauge coupling is strong and then ADM can annihilate away into X-pair effectively. Therefore, the ADM can form a bound state due to its large self-interaction via X mediation. To explore the collider signature of ADMonium, we propose that ADM has a two-Higgs doublet portal. The ADMonium can have a sizable mixing with the heavier Higgs boson, which admits a large cross section of ADMonium production associated with b (b) over bar. The resulting signature at the LHC depends on the decays of X. In this paper we consider a case of particular interest: pp -> b (b) over bar + ADMonium followed by ADMonium -> 2X -> 2e(+)e(-) where the electrons are identified as (un)converted photons. It may provide a competitive explanation to heavy di-photon resonance searches at the LHC.</P>

        중국 역사문화거리에 문화 중심의 사운드스케이프 기초 연구

        역사문화거리는 한 도시의 소중한 자산이며 사운드스케이프는 역사문화거리 환경의 중요한 부분이다. 최근 몇 년 동안 『진정성에 관한 나라(奈良) 문서』 및 기타 국제 협약이 체결되었으며 이는 사람들이 역사 및 문화 거리 보호에 대한 사운드스케이프의 의미와 역할을 인식하기 시작했음을 나타낸다. 본 연구는 이러한 방향에 따라 중국 명·청 시대부터 민국 시대를 연구대상으로 하여 문화 중심의 역사문화거리에서 사운드스케이프의 기초적 의미를 연구하고, 역사문화거리에 사운드스케이프의 보완 및 보호에 관한 후속 연구를 위한 이론적 토대를 제공한다. 연구 방법은 선행연구와 문헌 자료의 이론적 조사를 통해 수행된다. 문헌 자료의 정리분석을 통해 역사문화거리에 사운드스케이프의정의, 유형과 특징을 도출한다. 이를 바탕으로 '문화'의 의미와 특징을 결합하여 문화 중심의 사운드스케이프의 문헌을 통해 역사문화거리에서 문호 중심의 사운드스케이프의 정의, 유형, 구성요소 및 특징을 도출한다. 마지막으로 본연구는 지금까지의 개념과 문헌분석을 바탕으로 역사문화거리에서 문화 중심의 사운드스케이프의 기본개념을 도출하여 후속 연구와 역사문화거리에 사운드스케이프의 보완하기 위한 이론적 토대를 마련하고자 한다. Historic and cultural districts are the precious wealth of a city, and the soundscape is an important part of the environment of historic and cultural districts. In recent years, people have signed the Nara Authenticity Document and other international conventions, marking that they began to realize the significance and role of soundscape for the protection of historic and cultural districts. Based on the trend, this study takes the historic and cultural districts from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China as the research object, and summarizes the basic concept of the culture-centered soundscape in the historic and cultural districts, which provides the theoretical basis for the subsequent research on the remediation and protection of it. It adapts the research methods of advance research and theoretical investigation of literature data. And it concludes the definition, type and characteristics of the soundscape in the historic and cultural districts through the collation and analysis of the documents. It also concludes the definition, type, constituent elements and characteristics of culture-centered soundscape in historic and cultural districts through the combination of the connotation and characteristics of “culture” and the research literature of culture-centered soundscape. Finally, it derives the basic concept of culture-centered soundscape in historic and cultural districts, which provides a theoretical basis and guidance for a series of subsequent studies and the protection of it.

        Precise visualization and ROS-dependent photodynamic therapy of colorectal cancer with a novel mitochondrial viscosity photosensitive fluorescent probe

        Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a prominent global cancer with high mortality rates among human beings. Efficient diagnosis and treatment have always been a challenge for CRC management. Fluorescence guided cancer therapy, which combines diagnosis with therapy into one platform, has brought a new chance for achieving precise cancer theranostics. Among this, photosensitizers, applied in photodynamic therapy (PDT), given the integration of real-time imaging capacity and efficacious treatment feasibility, show great potential to serve as remarkable tools. Although much effort has been put into constructing photosensitizers for locating and destroying CRC cells, it is still in high need to develop novel photosensitizers to attain specific detection and fulfil effective therapy. Methods Probe HTI was rational synthesized for the diagnosis and treatment of CRC. Spectrometric determination was carried out first, followed by the 1O2 generation ability test. Then, HTI was displayed in distinguishing CRC cells from normal cells Further, the PDT effect of the photosensitizer was studied in vitro. Additionally, HTI was used in CRC BALB/c nude mice model to validate its viscosity labelling and tumor suppression characteristics. Results We successfully fabricated a mitochondrial targeting probe, HTI, together with remarkable viscosity sensitivity, ultralow background interference, and excellent 1O2 generation capacity. HTI was favorably applied to the viscosity detection, displaying a 11-fold fluorescent intensity enhancement in solvents from 1.57 cp to 2043 cp. Then, it was demonstrated that HTI could distinguish CRC cells from normal cells upon the difference in mitochondrial viscosity. Moreover, HTI was qualified for producing 1O2 with high efficiency in cells, supported by the sparkling signals of DCFH after incubation with HTI under light irradiation. More importantly, the viscosity labelling and tumor suppression performance in CRC CDX model was determined, enriching the multifunctional validation of HTI in vivo. Conclusions In this study, HTI was demonstrated to show a sensitive response to mitochondrial viscosity and possess a high 1O2 generation capacity. Both in vitro cell imaging and in vivo tumor treatment trials proved that HTI was effectively served as a robust scaffold for tumor labeling and CRC cells clearance. This breakthrough discovery held immense potential for advancing the early diagnosis and management of CRC through PDT. By leveraging HTI’s properties, medical professionals could benefit from improved diagnostic accuracy and targeted treatment in CRC management, ultimately leading to enhanced patient outcomes.

        역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 유형에 따른 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 각 유형의 역사 문화거리와 사운드스케이프의 관련 개념을 연구하는 것이다. 중국 역사 문화거리 를 대상으로 지리, 연대, 공간, 물리 등 네 가지 측면에서 연구 범위를 설정했다. 본 연구는 주로 문헌연구법을 연구 방법을 삼아 역사문화거리의 특성을 분석했다. 거리의 기능과 환경 이미지에 따라 분류하고 다양한 유형의 거리의 특성을 분석한 다음 역사와 문화적 관점에서 사운드스케이프의 특성과 관련 구성요소를 분석했다. 음원에 따라 사운 드스케이프를 분류하고 특성과 관련 구성요소를 종합하여 역사와 문화적 측면에서 사운드스케이프의 특징을 도출했 다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면 다양한 유형의 역사문화거리 사운드스케이프의 특성, 구성요소 및 특징과 같은 관련 개념을 도출하여 후속 연구에 대한 도움을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the concepts related to typology-based historic and cultural districts and soundscapes. The study is based on Chinese historic and cultural districts and is limited in four aspects: geographical, chronological, spatial, and physical. This study mainly adopts the literature research method to analyze the characteristics of historic and cultural districts, classify them according to their functions and environmental images, and analyze the characteristics of different types of districts. Then the characteristics and associated constituents of the soundscape are analyzed from the perspective of history and culture, the soundscape is classified according to the sound source, and the characteristics and associated constituents are combined to derive the characteristics that the soundscape has in terms of history and culture. Based on the results of this study, the concepts related to the characteristics, constituent elements and features of different types of historic and cultural district soundscapes can be derived to provide a basis and foundation for further research.

      • Imbalanced Data Classification Based on AdaBoost-SVM

        The classification of imbalanced data is one of the most challenging problems in data mining and machine learning research. Imbalanced dataset is a form that exists in reality area, which describes truly and objectively the essential characters of something. There will appear paucity of data and flooded in the classification of imbalanced dataset. Beside problems such as loss of information and data splitting phenomenon will also appear when using the traditional machine learning methods. So how to solve the classification problem of imbalanced data will be challenging. In this paper, aiming at the above problems, a classification algorithm based on AdaBoost-SVM is proposed. In the experiments with four typical forms of imbalanced data sets in UCI were validated the effectiveness of this strategy.

        Effects of Oxygen Content on the Simultaneous Microbial Removal of SO2 and NOx in Biotrickling Towers

        This study uses microbial methods to research the influence of oxygen (O2) content on the removal efficiency of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) in a tandem twin-towers desulfurization and denitrification process system. Oxygen can play a significant role in biotrickling towers. Other important factors had already been optimized prior to the study, including inlet concentration, gas flow rate, and temperature. SO2 and NOx were prepared by a chemical method. A gas flow meter was used to regulate nitrogen (N2) that had been stored in steel cylinders. In this way, the O2 content was adjusted in the biotrickling towers by controlling the N2 flow rate. Five gradients of O2 content were selected for investigation, namely 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20%. Results indicated that the SO2 removal efficiency from mixed gas (SO2 and NOx) can reach 100%, from all of the five O2 gradients, in biotrickling towers. In a tandem twin-towers desulfurization and denitrification process system, the NOx removal efficiency and the inlet concentration of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gradually increased as the O2 content increased. Specifically, the average removal efficiency of NOx increased from 49.28 to 80.85% as the O2 content changed from 4 to 20%. The oxygen levels influenced the removal of NOx but the SO2 removal efficiency in mixed gas was always stable.

        Protectin DX increases alveolar fluid clearance in rats with lipopolysaccharideinduced acute lung injury

        Acute respiratory distress syndrome is a life-threatening critical syndrome resulting largely from the accumulation of and the inability to clear pulmonary edema. Protectin DX, an endogenously produced lipid mediator, is believed to exert anti-inflammatory and pro-resolution effects. Protectin DX (5 μg/kg) was injected i.v. 8 h after LPS (14 mg/kg) administration, and alveolar fluid clearance was measured in live rats (n = 8). In primary rat ATII epithelial cells, protectin DX (3.605 × 10−3 mg/l) was added to the culture medium with LPS for 6 h. Protectin DX improved alveolar fluid clearance (9.65 ± 1.60 vs. 15.85 ± 1.49, p < 0.0001) and decreased pulmonary edema and lung injury in LPSinduced lung injury in rats. Protectin DX markedly regulated alveolar fluid clearance by upregulating sodium channel and Na, K-ATPase protein expression levels in vivo and in vitro. Protectin DX also increased the activity of Na, K-ATPase and upregulated P-Akt via inhibiting Nedd4–2 in vivo. In addition, protectin DX enhanced the subcellular distribution of sodium channels and Na, K-ATPase, which were specifically localized to the apical and basal membranes of primary rat ATII cells. Furthermore, BOC-2, Rp-cAMP, and LY294002 blocked the increased alveolar fluid clearance in response to protectin DX. Protectin DX stimulates alveolar fluid clearance through a mechanism partly dependent on alveolar epithelial sodium channel and Na, K-ATPase activation via the ALX/PI3K/Nedd4–2 signaling pathway.

        Fatigue Resistance of a BFRP-Encapsulated Long-Gauge FBG Strain Sensor under Cyclic Train Loads

        To verify the performance of a basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) fiber-encapsulated long-gauge strain sensor in railway bridge health monitoring, this paper studies the fatigue resistance and durability of the BFRP fiber-encapsulated FBG sensor under train loads. First, the influences of the length of the anchorage section and the length ratio of the sensing section on the accuracy of the sensor were studied. Then, the BFRP sensor was applied to a sleeper for 2 million cycles of tension fatigue testing. The strain-time history of the whole fatigue test was monitored and compared. After the test, a calibration test was carried out to verify the accuracy and repeatability of the sensor. Finally, the slip and fatigue cracking of the fiber in the anchorage section of the sensor were observed by electron microscopy. The results show that the gap between the anchoring section and the bare optical fiber was filled with epoxy resin, and there was no slip behavior. No fatigue cracking occurred in the fiber, and the straincoefficient and linearity of the sensor showed no obvious changes after 2 million cycles of loading. The long-gauge strain sensor encapsulated by BFRP fibers exhibited good fatigue resistance and can meet long-term monitoring requirements under train loads.
