        Synthesis and Characterization of KTiNbO5 Nano-particles by Novel Polymerizable Complex Method

        The layered KTiNbO5 was successfully synthesized with titanium(IV) isopropoxide and niobium oxalate by a novel polymerized complex (PC) method. The morphology and structure of the as-prepared sample was characterized by means of High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope, powder X-ray diffraction, and Laser Raman Spectroscopy. The spectral response characteristic was recorded by using UV-vis Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy. Results show that KTiNbO5 as-prepared by PC method presents an uniform morphology of nano-particles, the mean particle sizes is ca. 28 nm corresponding to the (002), and the crystal structure can be well indexed to the orthorhombic phase. The sample as-prepared by PC method has higher band gap energy than that of the sample prepared by a solid-state reaction method due to the quantum size effect.

        Systemic Reactions to Dust Mite Subcutaneous Immunotherapy: A 3-Year Follow-up Study

        Purpose: The incidence of allergen specific immunotherapy-related systemic reactions (SRs) varies among different studies, and many factors are likely to contribute to SRs. This study aims to investigate the incidence, characteristics, and risk factors of SRs to standardize dust mite-specific subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) in Central China. Methods: All patients receiving standardized dust mites (100-100,000 SQ-U/mL; Alutard SQ, Hørsholn, Denmark) immunotherapy were followed up. Recorded data included demographics, diagnosis, patient status, pulmonary function testing results before and after each injection, allergen dosage, and details of SRs. Results: From June 2011 to August 2014, a total of 208 patients received 4,369 injections; 27 (13.0%) patients experienced 48 (1.1%) systemic reactions. Most of the SRs were grade 2 reactions (n=30, 62.5%), followed by grade 1 (n=11, 22.9%), grade 3 (n=7, 14.6%), and no fatal reactions occurred. Forty-six SRs (95.8%) occurred within 30 minutes. Higher SR rates were associated with high concentration extracts (100,000 SQ-U/mL), injections with concomitant local reactions (LRs), children, asthma and high sensitivity (skin prick test 3+/4+ and/or sIgE≥17.5 kUA/L) (P<0.05). The estimated odds of SRs increased in children (OR=6.57; 95% CI: 1.88-22.97, P=0.003), asthmatic patients (OR=4.10; 95% CI: 1.72-9.80, P=0.002), and injections with LRs (OR=2.41; 95% CI: 1.33-4.36, P=0.004).Conclusions: The incidence of SRs to dust mite SCIT was low, and multiple factors were associated with the increased incidence of SRs. Children, asthmatics and patients with concomitant LR may be prone to develop SRs.

        중국 기업집단의 규모와 밀도

        본 연구는 기업집단의 규모(extension)와 밀도(integrity)라는 두 가지 층차의 집단성(group-likelihood)을 이용하여 중국 기업집단의 형성 및 발전 요인을 분석한다. 중국의 대기업은 대부분 기업집단이란 형태로 존재 하고 있으며 중국 정부는 경제 개혁의 일환으로 일본과 한국을 모방한 기업집단 육성을 추진한 바 있다. 개방개혁 30여 년의 역사를 거쳐 중국의 기업집단은 소유 유형별로 주목할 만한 차이점을 나타내고 있기도 하다. 본 연구는 중국 A 증시에 상장된 1561개의 기업을 대상으로 한 실증분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 도출했다. 첫째, 중국의 시장제도 발달은 산 업에 걸쳐 다르게 나타나며 이는 기업집단의 발달에 부정적으로 작용할 수 있다. 둘째, 그럼에도 불구하고 기업집단의 밀도는 시장제도와 별도로 개발될 수 있다. 셋째, 더 많은 잉여자원을 보유한 기업집단일수록 더 강한 집단성을 보일 가능성이 높다. 넷째, 같은 조건에서라면 민영기업이 더 높은 집단성을 보이나, 근본적인 자원의 제약으로 인해 국유기업이 더 높은 규모를 나타낸다. 그러나 밀도는 여전히 민영기업이 더 높다. 다섯째, 간접지배는 규모의 증가를, 직접지배는 밀도의 증가를 가져온다는 사실을 통해 중국에서도 소유와 지배의 괴리라는 문제가 나타남을 알 수 있다. 여섯째, 두 차례의 시범 기업집단 지정을 통한 정부의 진흥정책은 분명한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. We investigate elements of developing Chinese business groups from the perspective of group-likelihood which is defined in two dimensions-extension and integiry. Most of large enterprises are business group in China. Chinese government had promoted business groups in the resemblance of Japan and South Korea as a method to reform its economy system. We made an empirical studies on the listed companies in Chinese A stock market through which we conclude as followings. (1) Market institutions develops differently across industries and they discourage the development of business group. (2) In spite of market institutions` growth, group integrity could be still developed. (3) Surplus resources enhance group-likelihood. (4) Private firms would show higher group-likelihood on the same conditions, but state-owned firms overwhelm the private ones in terms of surplus resources which lead them to have higher extensions. But still, private firms shows higher group integrity. (5) Indirect control could increase extension while direct control increases integrity. From this, we can notice the problem of the gap between ownership and control. (6) Chinese government had appointed two sets of model business groups which are showing obviously high group-likelihood today.

        With the development of tourist industry and diversification of a traveling way, the guesthouse seems to be a standard organization of the international hotel chain, different from the general hotels. Moreover, its unique spaces for communications attract a large number of young tourists to the guesthouse. However, with some problems learned from the communication spaces in some guesthouses, it is necessary to research characteristics of particular guesthouses and then vitalize those characteristics for young tourists’ interests. Therefore, a case study was conducted on three guesthouses located in Seoul. Analysis results are as follows: First, five design characteristics of communication spaces are interactivity, regional culture, variability, openness, and sensory stimulation. Second, based on the research from arrangement types, interactivity ranks the highest in intensive type and blended type, and in stand-alone type, regional culture shows the highest. Third, with the design characteristics examined from three places, interactivity is well-reflected in Jung-gu and Mapo-gu, and regional culture is effectively expressed in Jongro-gu.

        Since the very beginning of the 21st century, more and more people are focusing on the issue of providing for the aged. Right now, home-based care is the mainstream for the aged in Korea, according to the current situation, provide a suitable living housing dwelling for old solitary people is one important job of care for the aged. In this paper, the people above 65 or elder who live alone in Seoul is the main object of investigation, and the affordable residential district in Seoul is the investigation scope. On the basis of the sustainable design principles, this paper summarized the living housing dwelling, which meet the needs of the solitary people in Seoul, and reveal the basic laws of such residential from the environmental psychology, behavioral science, architecture and other multidisciplinary perspective.

      • Screening of the Antigen Epitopes of Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor by Phage Display

        In order to investigate the epitope of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and its immunogenicity, the epitopes of bFGF were screened from the phage display library with monoclonal antibody GF22, which can neutralize the bio-activity of bFGF. By three rounds of screening, the positive phage clones with bFGF epitopes were selected, which can effectively block the bFGF to bind with GF22. Sequence analysis showed that the epitopes shared a highly conservative sequence (Leu-Pro-Pro/Leu-Gly-His-Phe/Ile-Lys). The sequence of PPGHFK was located at 22-27 of the bFGF. The specific immuno-response of mouse could be highly induced by phage clones with the epitopes. And the anti-bFGF activity induced by LPGHFK was 3 times higher than the original sequence, which showed that the mimetic peptide LPLGHIK might be used as a tumor vaccine in the prevention and treatment of tumor.

        Simulation of spreading and retraction behavior of water droplet on micro-patterned surfaces with VOF coupled level-set model

        For the anti-icing technology of hydrophobic coating on turbine blades, the influence of the hydrophobic surface withmicropatterns on the impact characteristics of water droplets is studied in present manuscript. The spreading and retractioncharacteristics of water droplets with diameters of 2~10 μm on micro-structured surface is numerically investigated in presentresearch by volume of fluid (VOF) and Level-set coupling method, and the influence of surface micropattern geometry andwater droplet diameter on the spreading and retraction process is analyzed in detail. It is found that the ratio of water dropletdiameter D0 to micropattern size P has a significant effect on the dynamic process and final shape of the impact on the samemicropatterned wall; and the surface shows obvious hydrophobicity when the ratio of water droplet diameter D0 tomicropattern size P is 2 ≤ D0/P ≤ 4 and the movement of water droplets on the surface is in accordance with the descriptionof the Cassie model, although the contact angle of substrate material is 86°. However, the dynamic process and final shape ofwater droplets are similar to those on a smooth plane with the contact angle of 86° when D0/P ≤ 1. In addition, when the waterdroplet impacts the micropatterned surface with 2 ≤ D0/P ≤ 4, the spreading coefficient on the micropattern surface is less than1.0 and the dimensionless spreading period gradually lengthens with the increase of D0/P value attributed to the large pressuregradient near the three-phase line.

        Spatial spectrum approach for pilot spoofing attack detection in MIMO systems

        In this study, a spatial spectrum method is proposed to cope with the pilot spoofing attack (PSA) problem by exploiting the of uplink-downlink channel reciprocity in time-division-duplex multiple-input multiple-output systems. First, the spoofing attack in the uplink stage is detected by a threshold derived from the predefined false alarm based on the estimated spatial spectrum. When the PSA occurs, the transmitter (That is Alice) can detect either one or two spatial spectrum peaks. Then, the legitimate user (That is Bob) and Eve are recognized in the downlink stage via the channel reciprocity property based on the difference between the spatial spectra if PSA occurs. This way, the presence of Eve and the direction of arrival of Eve and Bob can be identified at the transmitter end. Because noise is suppressed by a spatial spectrum, the detection performance is reliable even for low signal-noise ratios and a short training length. Consequently, Bob can use beamforming to transmit secure information during the data transmission stage. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations are performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme compared with conventional methods.
