Past, present and future of urological robotic surgery

The first urologic robotic program in the world was built at the Vattikuti Urology Institute, Henry Ford Hospital Detroit, Michigan, in 2000 under the vision of surgical innovator, Dr. Mani Menon for the radical prostatectomy. The robot-assisted radical prostatectomy continues being modified with techniques to improve perioperative and surgical outcomes. The application of robotic surgical technique has since been expanded to the bladder and upper urinary tract surgery. The evolution of surgical technique and its expansion of application will continue to improve quality, outcome parameters and experience for the patients.
DNA barcoding and phylogenetic analysis in Chrysanthemum

The plant family chrysanthemum is known for its medicinal, ornamental, and economic purposes. Owing to its economic and biological significance to the difficult identification based on morphological characters, it is useful to develop DNA barcodes. DNA sequence data enable not only the inference of phylogenetic relationships but also provide an efficient method for species-level identifications under terms DNA barcoding or DNA taxonomy. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the utility of DNA barcoding in discriminating Chrysanthemum species. Four cpDNA regions (matK, rpoC, rpoB, trnH-psbA) and one nuclear (ITS) marker have sequenced from 28 specimens of 11 species from 4 genera of Chrysanthemum which were collected from 5 provinces in Korea. Comparisons of within and between species levels of sequence divergence showed that genetic variation between species exceeds variation within species.
자동차 차체용 AHSS 소재에 대한 AC 펄스 GMA 용접성 평가

본 연구에서는 극성 가변 효과와 펄스 전류 특성을 이용한 AC 펄스 GMA 용접을 자동차 차체용 AHSS 소재의 용접 공정에 적용하였다 먼저 AC 펄스 GMA 용접에서 EN ratio 변화에 의한 아크 용융현상과 비드 형상의 변화에 대해 분석하였다. EN ratio가 증가함에 따라 아크 루트가 전극 와이어에 형성되는 시간이 증가하여 와이어 용융속도가 증가하고 모재쪽의 입열이 감소하는 것을 확인하였으며, EN ratio 변화에 따른 비드 형상 변화를 분석하였다. 또한 자동차 차체용 AHSS 소재에 대한 AC 펄스 GMA 용접의 갭 접합성 평가를 통해 생산 현장에서 겹치기 용접 이음부의 0~1㎜ 갭 발생에 대해 적정 용접조건을 제시하였다. Because of the recent increase in oil prices and people's growing interest in environmental issues through the world, automobile makers have conducted various studies on improving fuel efficiency through weight reduction in vehicles. One of the most widely known car weight-reduction methods is to use high strength steel. However, because of poor weldability and gap occurrence in assembly process caused by spring back, it is difficult to obtain good weld quality when working with the AHSS. In this paper, pulse GMA welding which uses changes in the polarity and the characteristics of pulse current, has been applied to the arc welding of AHSS for automobile body.
달 탐사를 위한 우주통신에서 텔레메트리 링크에 대한 최대 전송속도 성능분석

달 탐사를 위한 우주 통신 하향링크는 대용량 데이터의 전송을 위해 높은 전송속도를 요구한다. 따라서 본 논문에셔는 달 탐사를 위한 하향링크 S, X, Ku, Ka 대역별로 CCSDS에서 권고하는 변조 및 채널 부호화 기법에 대하여 전송속도를 분석한다. 이를 통해 달 탐사를 위한 텔리매트리 링크에 대하여 최대 전송속도를 가지며 링크마진을 만족하는 변조 및 채널 부호화 기법을 제시한다. Telemetry link requires high data rate to transmit the multimedia data for lunar explorations in space communications. In this paper, we analyze a data rate with the modulation and channel coding schemes based on Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) in S, X, Ku and Ka bands, respectively. Then, we suggests modulation and channel coding schemes to meet the link margins and have a maximum data rate for lunar explorations in telemetry links.
