        The study was to investigate the difference of the total sweat rate, local sweat and skin temperature according to environments during submaximal exercise. For this, eight male field hockey athletes were made to take bicycle exercise of 40% Vo₂max for 60min. The environmental conditions were divided into four groups ; Environment Ⅰ (Temperature 18℃, Relative Humidity 40%). Environment Ⅱ (Temperature 18℃, Relative Humidity 70%). Environment Ⅲ (Temperature 30℃, Relative humidity 40%). Environment Ⅳ (Temperature 30℃, Relative Humidity 70%). Local sweat rate, rectal temperature and main skin temperature were recorded every 10 minutes by thermister, total sweat rate measured by the weight loss during the exercise. Local sweat rate according to environments during submaximal exercise increased mainly by relative humidity. The other local skin temperature and the rising-rate of body temperature had an effect on it. Total sweat rate according to environments during submaximal exercise was more influenced by hot-high humidity rather than by temperature especially led to the 1,400g's weight loss during the one hour exercise. Local skin temperature according to environments during submaximal exercise was significantly differentiated by temperature and humidity as well as by time. Mean skin temperature according to environments during submaximal exercise was varied, up-and-down repeatedly. No relationships between rectal temperature or local skin temperature and total sweat rate or local sweat rate but these factors were partly interrelated. To conclude, total sweat rate was influenced most by humidity and local sweat rate differed according to local skin temperature and the rising-rate of body temperature.

        This study aims to understand concept and characteristics of Special Zoning District and to suggest more rational urban design control by means of analyzing guidelines and performing condition of Special Zoning District. This study consists of three parts. First part reviews conceptions and characteristics of Special Zoning District and theoretical backgrounds on the urban design guidelines. In second part, author inspects that what role did play and what contents did contain the zoning and the urban design, by means of case studies which are urban design institution of American and Japanese. In third, part, the case study of 10-cases, has been analyzed in terms of district, urban design guidelines and process.

      • 도시유역 배수 관망체계의 계량형태학적 분석

        The objective of this study is to analyse the validity of urban drainage systems. Morphometric theory is applied to storm sewer systems of Seoul city for analysing this drainage network morphometrically. As the result, Horton's stream order method is applicable to the urban drainage systems and the validity of the drainage systems is judged and also applying this result to ungaged basin. Same as the rainfall intensity, duration and bifurcation ratio in case of bad drainage systems, the peak flow per unit drainage area is smaller than that of good drainage systems. So, if the bifurcation ratio is large, the flood control is advantageous. Because the shape of the basin effects on the runoff hydrograph, successive study considered to morphometric characteristics of the basin is needed.

      • 삼변수 kappa 분포를 적용한 매년 최대연속강우량 계열의 빈도해석

        The total depths of a rainfall event may be important in planning of flood control. This study is to analyse the applicability of three parameter kappa distribution for annual maximum series of continuous rainfall at Seoul, Incheon, Busan, and Kwangju meteorological station and to compare to three parameter lognormal distribution, extremal type 1 distribution, Pearson type 3 distribution, and log-Pearson type 3 distribution. As results of this study annual maximum series of continuous rainfall are random data and are fitted by three parameter kappa distribution. For large return period the probable continuous rainfall depths by three parameter kappa distribution are more than those by other distribution, for small return period the rainfall depths are less. The probable continuous rainfall depths by extremal type 1 distribution are computed less than by other distribution. The type of best fitted probable distribution for a rainfall data must be chosen by considering the X² value and the probable rainfall depths for large return period.

        Seoul National University About 34% of the adult population paticipated in sport and physical activities at least one or two times per average week. Many more than women took part in sports and physical activities. They badly want sports complex center and exercise programs. They thought that sports complex center is the basic constructions of university as library or the statistic center. They exercised for health or fitness development in sports complex center of around the house. they enjoyed playing sports activities such as tennis, swimming for loe or two hours per average week. The men and women responded paticipating in moderately active level of physical activity. The younger age group prefer tennis, swimming, bowling, calisthenic exercise, while the older age group is more likely to mount climbling, working, golf. The social economic status of populer player estimated high relative to the common peoples. Professional sports have pogitive view point in paticipation in sports for all the people or leisure satisfaction. They thought that theexercise was the best weight control methods and Obesity was caused by the lack of exercise.

        백두구, 소두구 및 砂仁의 形態 鑑別에 관한 硏究

        Objectives : In order to distinguish Amomi Cardamomi Fructus, Cardamomi Fructus, and Amomi Fructus, their external, internal, and flour states were observed via microscopic examination. Method : The slice of the tested material made by paraffin section technique was colored with Safranine Malachite Green contrast methods, and the flour of it was mounted by the liquid made by the same ratio of each of glycerin, acetic acid, and water, and then observed and photographed by olymphus-BHT. Result : 1. The seed of Amomum cardomomwn Linne is close to a ball-shape, the color of its pericarp is milk-white or light brown with a diameter of 0.8~1.2cm. The seed of Elettaria cardamomum Maton is oval, and the color of its pericarp is light yellow or yellow-green with a length of 1~2cm and diameter of 5~7cm. The seed of Amomum xanthoides Wallich is close to a ball-shape, and the color of its pericarp is yellow-brown or brown, with thin and compact protrusion, and with a length of 1.5~2cm and diameter of 1~1.5cm. 2. As for the internal form, the mesocarp of Amomi Cardamomi Fructus and '1,Cardamomi Fructus shows once-rounded vascular bundles, and that of Amomi Fructus shows once- or twice-rounded vascular bundles. Amomi Cardamomi Fructus has annulus of stone cells layered among vascular bundles, but Cardamomi Fructus and Amomi Fructus do not have them. Endopleura has stone cells, and the stone cells of Cardamomi Fructus are 16~20㎛ long and 10~20㎛ wide, while Cardamomi Fructus itself is 50~60㎛ long and 40㎛ wide, and the stone cells of Amomi Fructus is 12~16㎛ long and 12㎛ wide. 3. In flour states, the cell sizes of endopleura are as follows: Amomi Cardamomi Fructus and Amomi Fructus are small by 9~25㎛, while Cardamomi Fructus is relatively large with a length of 50~60㎛ and width of 40㎛. Conclusion : Significant differences were found among Amomi Cardamomi Fructus, Cardamomi Fructus, and Amomi Fructus in their external forms. In addition, there were also some differences in their internal and flour states. Therefore, they can be distinguished through observation via microscopic examination.

        한국의 바람직한 대일정책의 방향

        After the Cold War was over, the Korean-Japanese relations are experiencing radical changes. While the potential cooperative factors between two nations in politico-security and economic fields weaken, bilateral conflict issues such as so-called 'past history problem', fishery and territorial friction are being revealed. In order to overcome this situation rationally, two governments are required to build up the co-perception framework to cope with conflict issues smoothly. Especially the conflicts concerning 'past history problem' and the bilateral coordination of attitudes toward the North Korea policy are very important issue areas which should be settled down in the near future. This paper provides the objective analysis and desirable policy orientations about the two issues from the point of view of the Korean side. Firstly, 'past history problem' is one of the most serious issues which deteriorated the bilateral relation severely since 1980s. It is obvious that the frequency of conflicts concerning the past history problem between two nations have gradually increased since cold war system was collapsed. Why was this phenomenon occurred? This paper answered the question by pointing out the three factors, say, first is the deconsolidation of the bilateral relations since the collapse of cold war in the context of politico-security area, the second is the intensification of domestic struggle concerning the perception of the past history between the right-wing and the liberal group in Japan, and the third is the stem and hard-line response of the Korean side to the past history problem. Thus this paper suppose that it should be desirable for the Korean side to take more flexible and strategic stance as far as the issue concerned. It is impossible to settle down the issue completely by the any kind of short term measures. Therefore we should make efforts to solve the problem by means of multilateral approach, say. the formation supra-national solidarity at the level of civil societies or setting the issue as the international agenda at the global society. Secondly, the incorrespondence at the North Korea policy between two nations came up to the surface as the serious problem. The Korean government since the appearance Kim Dae-Jung administration is consistently seeking to appeasement approaches toward the North Korea below the slogan named "Sunshine Policy". In contrast to the this approach. the Japanese government is taking a series of hard-line North Korea policies. It is needless to say that Japan's stem policies toward the North Korea was originated from the uncompromising and hostile activities of the North Korea such as the kidnapping incidents. and the unexpected mid-range missile test across the Japanese territory. In spite of the gap of the interests of two nations, it is essential to make common efforts to alleviate the hostile attitude of the North Korea for the peace and security in northeast Asia area. In this context, we need to give impetus for the Japanese government to resume the normalization negotiation. suspended since 1992. with the North Korea, and take a positive role in KEDO project herself.

        This study is a statistical analysis for properties of bed elevation with distance along the open channel by stochastic models and spectral model. In this study, AR(2) model more adequate than ARMA(1,1) model in the equilibrium bed elevation of open channel. In the case of dunes, the spectrum is proportional to the wave number to the power-3 but in the case of ripples, this is not confirmed. Spectral model is more dependent on Re than Fr in the experimental data of shallow open channel.

      • 生分解性 共重合體의 重合 및 物性에 관한 硏究(I)

        The graft ploymerization of methyl methacrylate onto starch initiated by ceric ammonium nitrate. The grafted polymer was identified by using IR spectroscopy. Four copolymer samples with grafting percents of 34.29%, 48.71%, 57.89% and 67.89% were tested for their microbial susceptibility in a synthetic medium employing a inoculum of aspergillus niger, trichoderma viride. Starch-g-poly(methyl methacrylate)copolymer films show excellent susceptibility to fungal growth, some samples losing more than 14% of their weight after 15days of incubation with aspergillus niger. There was initial rapid weight loss accompanied by the exponential increase in bacterial population and pH of the culture medium during the second week. The extent of degradation seems to decress with increasing grafting percent.
