Joint User Association and Resource Allocation of Device-to-Device Communication in Small Cell Networks

( Wenrong Gong ),( Xiaoxiang Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.1

With the recent popularity of smart terminals, the demand for high-data-rate transmission is growing rapidly, which brings a new challenge for the traditional cellular networks. Both device-to-device (D2D) communication and small cells are effective to improve the transmission efficiency of local communication. In this paper, we apply D2D communication into a small cell network system (SNets) and study about the optimization problem of resource allocation for D2D communication. The optimization problem includes system scheduling and resource allocation, which is exponentially complex and the optimal solution is infeasible to achieve. Therefore, in this paper, the optimization problem is decomposed into several smaller problems and a hierarchical scheme is proposed to obtain the solution. The proposed hierarchical scheme consists of three steps: D2D communication groups formation, the estimation of sub-channels needed by each D2D communication group and specific resource allocation. From numerical simulation results, we find that the proposed resource allocation scheme is effective in improving the spectral efficiency and reducing the outage probability of D2D communication.

Down‑regulation expression of TGFB2‑AS1 inhibits the proliferation, migration, invasion and induces apoptosis in HepG2 cells

        Wenrong Liu,Ruiping Huai,Yin Zhang,Shuquan Rao,Lili xiong,Ruofan Ding,Canquan Mao,Wenqing Zhao,Tao Hao,Qingqing Huang,Zhiyun Guo 한국유전학회 2019 Genes & Genomics Vol.41 No.8

Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the leading cause of cancer mortality and without effective prognosis. Previous study has been confirmed that the abnormal expression of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) TGFB2-AS1 was involved in tumorigenesis. However, the biological functions of TGFB2-AS1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain largely unclear. Objective We comprehensively assess the clinical significance of TGFB2-AS1 and investigate the biological functions of TGFB2-AS1 on HCC HepG2 cells. Methods We firstly confirmed the expression of TGFB2-AS1 between tumor and normal tissues using public available transcriptome data. We analyzed the clinical significance of TGFB2-AS1 using the TCGA HCC datasets. The biological functions of TGFB2-AS1 on HCC HepG2 cells were explored by multiple in vitro assays. Results We found that TGFB2-AS1 was remarkably increased in HCC tissues (P = 0.00148) and exhibited a potential predictive marker for HCC, with an area under curve (AUC) of 0.708 (P = 0.0034) using the fifty pairs of matched HCC tissues of TCGA. Besides, higher expression of TGFB2-AS1 in HCC tissues was identified as being positively associated with advanced tumor (P = 0.012) and disease stage (P = 0.009) in 355 HCC cases using independent sample nonparametric test. Downregulation of TGFB2-AS1 expression significantly restrained proliferation (P < 0.01) and impaired colony formation (P < 0.05). Furthermore, TGFB2-AS1 depletion remarkably promoted the apoptosis of HepG2 cells (P < 0.05) and inhibited migration and invasion (P < 0.01). Conclusion Taken together, these findings suggested that TGFB2-AS1 might serve as a potential therapeutic target for HCC.

PSO-based Resource Allocation in Software-Defined Heterogeneous Cellular Networks

( Wenrong Gong ),( Lihua Pang ),( Jing Wang ),( Meng Xia ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.5

A heterogeneous cellular network (HCN) is useful to increase the spectral and energy efficiency of wireless networks and to reduce the traffic load from the macro cell. The performance of the secondary user equipment (SUE) is affected by interference from the eNodeB (eNB) in a macro cell. To decrease the interference between the macro cell and the small cell, allocating resources properly is essential to an HCN. This study considers the scenario of a software-defined heterogeneous cellular network and performs the resource allocation process. First, we show the system model of HCN and formulate the optimization problem. The optimization problem is a complex process including power and frequency resource allocation, which imposes an extremely high complexity to the HCN. Therefore, a hierarchical resource allocation scheme is proposed, which including subchannel selection and a particle swarm optimization (PSO)-based power allocation algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed hierarchical scheme is effective in improving the system capacity and energy efficiency.

Wang Chong’s Philosophical Therapy Thought and Its Modern Value

Zhou Wenrong 강원대학교 인문과학연구소 2020 Journal of Humanities Therapy Vol.11 No.1

The essence of philosophical counseling is to carry forward the practicalness of philosophy, to treat the thought diseases of society and individuals by using philosophy, so as to benefit human society. Different methods of philosophical counseling are suitable for different therapeutic objects. For example, the philosophical therapy of Socrates is beneficial for people to form a clear understanding of concepts. The logic of Wang Chong’s philosophical therapy is similar to Socratic therapy, which aims to solve people’s spiritual perplexities and conflicts by clarifying the ideas in the mind.Wang Chong believes that people’s spiritual distress is due to the oppression of their free spirit by fallacious thoughts and the conflict between fallacious thoughts with objective reality. Therefore, in order to maintain mental health, it is necessary to use philosophy to identify fallacious ideas. During East Han Dynasty, the main fallacious ideas in society included the superstition of ghosts and gods, the supersitition of saints, Telepathy between Heaven and Wang Chong corrected these wrong concepts and thoughts in his own philosophical way, trying to help the society go back to rationality and happiness. Although nearly two thousand years has passed since the age of Wang Chong and contemporary social civilization and natural science have greatly progressed, the old issues of fallacious words and superstition still exist. Therefore, by studying Wang Chong’s philosophical treatment of fallacious thoughts with empirical evidence and logical reasoning, we can protect our thoughts from the intrusion of fallacious thoughts and thus safeguard our mental health.

Women Entrepreneurs’ Political Participation in China

Jianming Zheng,Wenrong Qian 숙명여자대학교 아시아여성연구원 2017 Asian Women Vol.33 No.2

Based on a questionnaire survey of 132 female entrepreneurs in Zhejiang, a Chinese province that is famous for its entrepreneurship, this research examines female Chinese entrepreneurs’ participation in political processes by analyzing how female entrepreneurs undertake non-governmental positions from the following three perspectives: Their understanding of political participation, the determinants of their political participation, and their political participation behaviors. The research findings indicated that female entrepreneurs’ personal traits, such as their educational attainments, professional skills, and economic status, had significantly positive impacts on their political participation, and that the division of labor within households was no longer a constraint to female entrepreneurs’ political participation. Huge gaps were identified between what women entrepreneurs understood and perceived, and what motivated their political participation. Female entrepreneurs’ families had neither encouraging nor discouraging attitudes toward their political participation. Organizations, however, played fundamental roles in facilitating and arranging for female entrepreneurs’ political participation. Most female entrepreneurs’ political participation was more characteristic of an organizational arrangement, while improving business performance and advancing their own interests were female entrepreneurs’ real concerns for becoming politically engaged.

        Zhongying Li,Yanhong Chen,Wenrong Li,Fan Yan 연세대학교의과대학 2020 Yonsei medical journal Vol.61 No.8

Purpose: Hyperoxia-induced bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a lung disease in preterm infants. We aimed to explore therole of cell division cycle 2 (CDC2) on histopathologic changes of lung tissues, as well as the viability, apoptosis, and inflammationof lung cells in rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD. Materials and Methods: Hyperoxia-induced BPD in neonatal rats and hyperoxia-induced A549 cells were constructed. The mRNAexpression of CDC2 was detected by qRT-PCR. The fibrosis score of lung tissues was evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin staining. Theviability and apoptosis of A549 cells were detected by cell counting kit-8 assay and flow cytometry. The protein expressions of bcl-2,bax, and caspase-3 were measured by western blot. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-1β inA549 cells were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The pcDNA3.1-CDC2 was injected into rats to determine therole of CDC2 in hyperoxia-induced BPD in vivo. Results: The expression of CDC2 was decreased in lung tissues of neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD and hyperoxia-inducedA549 cells. The fibrosis score was increased in the lung tissues of neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD. Overexpressionof CDC2 increased the viability and protein expression of bcl-2; and inhibited the apoptosis, inflammation, and protein expressionof bax and caspase-3 in hyperoxia-induced A549 cells. Up-regulation of CDC2 alleviated the histopathologic changes in lung tissuesof neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD. Conclusion: Overexpression of CDC2 promoted the viability and inhibited the apoptosis and inflammation of hyperoxia-inducedcells, and alleviated the histopathologic changes of lung tissues in neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD.

A biodegradable drug‐controlled delivery system based on mesoporous manganese dioxide and poly(dopamine)

        Li Miaomiao,Cai Wenrong,Jiang Lihua,Li Junyao,Li Shan,Tang Tongtong,Kong Yong 대한화학회 2023 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.44 No.12

Mesoporous manganese dioxide (mMnO 2 ) was first synthesized for the loading of methotrexate (MTX), and then dopamine was in situ polymerized on the surface of the MTX‐loaded mMnO 2 (mMnO 2 ‐MTX) in an alkaline solution to encapsulate the drug in the mesopores of mMnO 2 . Both low pH and glutathione (GSH) can result in the degradation of mMnO 2 and poly(dopamine) (PDA), and thus the delivery of MTX from the mMnO 2 ‐MTX‐PDA can be triggered by low pH and GSH. Near‐infrared (NIR) light‐responsive delivery of MTX can be achieved owing to the outstanding photothermal conversion capability of PDA; on the other hand, the mMnO 2 ‐MTX‐PDA can be utilized for photothermal therapy under the irradiation of NIR light due to the elevated temperature. The results of cytotoxicity test demonstrate that the pH, GSH, and NIR light tri‐responsive drug‐controlled delivery system has excellent biocompatibility, while exhibits pronounced growth inhibition against murine breast tumor cell line 4T1. DISCUSSION ON THE ANALYTIC SOLUTIONS OF THE SECOND-ORDER ITERATED DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

Liu, HanZe,Li, WenRong Korean Mathematical Society 2006 대한수학회보 Vol.43 No.4

This paper is concerned with a second-order iterated differential equation of the form $c_0x'(Z)+c_1x'(z)+c_2x(z)=x(az+bx(z))+h(z)$ with the distinctive feature that the argument of the unknown function depends on the state. By constructing a convergent power series solution of an auxiliary equation, analytic solutions of the original equation are obtained.

Knockout of Myostatin by Zinc-finger Nuclease in Sheep Fibroblasts and Embryos

        Zhang, Xuemei,Wang, Liqin,Wu, Yangsheng,Li, Wenrong,An, Jing,Zhang, Fuchun,Liu, Mingjun Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2016 Animal Bioscience Vol.29 No.10

Myostatin (MSTN) can negatively regulate the growth and development of skeletal muscle, and natural mutations can cause "double-muscling" trait in animals. In order to block the inhibiting effect of MSTN on muscle growth, we transferred zinc-finger nucleases (ZFN) which targeted sheep MSTN gene into cultured fibroblasts. Gene targeted colonies were isolated from transfected fibroblasts by serial dilution culture and screened by sequencing. Two colonies were identified with mono-allele mutation and one colony with bi-allelic deletion. Further, we introduced the MSTN-ZFN mRNA into sheep embryos by microinjection. Thirteen of thirty-seven parthenogenetic embryos were targeted by ZFN, with the efficiency of 35%. Our work established the technical foundation for generation of MSTN gene editing sheep by somatic cloning and microinjection ZFN into embryos.

Estimates of linkage disequilibrium and effective population sizes in Chinese Merino (Xinjiang type) sheep by genome-wide SNPs

        Shudong Liu,Sangang He,Lei Chen,Wenrong Li,Jiang Di,Mingjun Liu 한국유전학회 2017 Genes & Genomics Vol.39 No.7

Knowledge of linkage disequilibrium (LD) is important for effective genome-wide association studies and accurate genomic prediction. Chinese Merino (Xinjiang type) is well-known fine wool sheep breed. However, the extent of LD across the genome remains unexplored. In this study, we calculated autosomal LD based on genomewide SNPs of 635 Chinese Merino (Xinjiang type) sheep by Illumina Ovine SNP50 BeadChip. A moderate level of LD (r2 ≥ 0.25) across the whole genome was observed at short distances of 0–10 kb. Further, the ancestral effective population size (Ne) was analyzed by extent of LD and found that Ne increased with the increase of generations and declined rapidly within the most recent 50 generations, which is consistent with the history of Chinese Merino sheep breeding, initiated in 1971. We also noted that even when the effective population size was estimated across different single chromosomes, Ne only ranged from 140.36 to 183.33 at five generations in the past, exhibiting a rapid decrease compared with that at ten generations in the past. These results indicated that the genetic diversity in Chinese Merino sheep recently decreased and proper protective measures should be taken to maintain the diversity. Our datasets provided essential genetic information to track molecular variations which potentially contribute to phenotypic variation in Chinese Merino sheep.
