In conventional LIF measurement with tracer added into fuels, selection of tracer is limited by its traceability including similar boiling point and diffusion coefficient etc. compared with targeted fuels, and pre-calibration between the LIF signals and the concentration must be done to obtain a quasi-quantitative information, limiting its application from wider fuel range. In this study, acetone is used as the tracer and it is introduced into the ambient gas. With accurate control of the mass fraction of acetone in the ambient gas, the on-site calibration between the LIF signals and acetone concentration can be implemented. Subsequently, when fuel is issued into the ambient, the quantitative fuel concentration can be obtained from the LIF signals of acetone, regardless of fuel properties. As a preliminary study, nitrogen as a representative of gas fuels is injected into the ambient of acetone and nitrogen by a high-pressure injector with a hole diameter of 0.2 mm. The fluorescence of the tracer is excited by the 266 nm light from the 4<sup>th</sup> harmonic of an Nd: YAG laser and recorded by an ICCD camera. The deduction of the fuel concentration from the tracer signals is described in details, the on-site calibration processes and uncertainties are also discussed. Finally, the mixture formation processes of the intermittent gas jets with different injection pressures are visualized and quantified.

The field of artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving, and there has been an interest in its use to predict the risk of lymph node metastasis in T1 colorectal cancer. Accurately predicting lymph node invasion may result in fewer patients undergoing unnecessary surgeries; conversely, inadequate assessments will result in suboptimal oncological outcomes. This narrative review aims to summarize the current literature on deep learning for predicting the probability of lymph node metastasis in T1 colorectal cancer, highlighting areas of potential application and barriers that may limit its generalizability and clinical utility.

Alantolactone is a sesquiterpene lactone isolatedfrom Inula helenium L. Although alantolactone possessesanti-inflammation and apoptosis-induction activities, theunderlying mechanism of anti-cancer effect on humanbreast cancer cells remains largely unknown. In this study,we explored the possibility of alantolactone as an apoptosis-inducing cytotoxic agent using MDA-MB-231 cells asin vitro model. Alantolactone significantly induced itsapoptosis, demonstrated by cell cycle analysis, annexinV-APC/7-AAD double staining and dUTP nick end labeling. Additionally, alantolactone triggered the mitochondrial-mediated caspase cascade apoptotic pathway, whichwas confirmed by increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, loss of MMP,release of cytc from mitochondria to cytoplasm, activationof caspase 9/3, and subsequent cleavage of PARP. Z-VADFMKpartially prevented apoptosis induced by alantolactone. Alantolactone provoked the production of ROS, whileNAC (a scavenger of ROS) reversed alantolactone-mediateddepolarization of MMP and apoptosis. Alantolactonemodulated the activities of MAPKs. As expected, cotreatmentwith SB203580, SP600125 or U0126 could reducedthe apoptotic rate. Furthermore, alantolactone decreasedthe protein expressions of p-NF-kB p65 and p-STAT3,increased p-c-Jun level in a dose-dependent manner. Thesefindings suggested that alantolactone possessed anticanceractivity via ROS-mediated mitochondrial dysfunctioninvolving MAPK pathway, and had an effect on the transcriptionfactors of NF-kB, AP-1 and STAT3.
DNALS : A Recommendation Algorithm Based on Chinese Vocabulary Emotion Analysis of Songs

The lyrics play important roles in emotion expression of songs, as well as the emotion words of the lyrics reveal the emotion theme of songs. By extracting the lyrics’ emotion information, this paper uses songs’ emotion themes as the recommended standard. We get all kinds of emotion information extraction coefficient combining emotion gene sequences of lyrics which named DNALS (DNA for Lyrics of Songs), and then put forward the DNALS recommendation algorithm based on emotion analysis. By analyzing the emotion information of user’s historical music data, we recommend to the user a list of songs with similar themes emotion, so as to help the users to find songs for mood.

Trichoderma reesei is the major filamentous fungus used to produce cellulase and there is huge interest in promoting its ability to produce higher titers of cellulase. Among the many factors affecting cellulase production in T. reesei, the mycelial phenotype is important but seldom studied. Herein, a close homolog of the Neurospora crassa COT1 kinase was discovered in T. reesei and designated TrCOT1, which is of 83.3% amino acid sequence identity. Functional disruption of Trcot1 in T. reesei by RNAi-mediated gene silencing resulted in retarded sporulation on potato dextrose agar and dwarfed colonies on minimal medium agar plates containing glucose, xylan, lactose, xylose, or glycerol as the sole carbon source. The representative mutant strain, SUS2/Trcot1i, also displayed reduced mycelia accumulation but hyperbranching in the MM glucose liquid medium, with hyphal growth unit length values decreased to 73.0 μm/tip compared to 239.8 μm/tip for the parent strain SUS2. The hyperbranching phenotype led to slightly but significantly increased cellulase secretion from 24 to 72 h in a batch culture. However, the cellulase production per unit of mycelial biomass was much more profoundly improved from 24 to 96 h.

Background/Aims: Interferon-based treatment is not appropriate for a large number of patients with chronic hepatitis C for various medical and social reasons. Newly developed directly acting antivirals (DAAs) have been used to treat chronic hepatitis C without severe adverse effects and have achieved a sustained viral response (SVR) rate of 80-90% with short treatment duration. We were interested to determine whether all patients who failed to respond to or were ineligible for interferon-based therapy could be treated with DAAs. Methods: Medical records of patients with positive serum anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) or HCV RNA between January 2009 and December 2013 were reviewed. Demographic, clinical, and treatment data were collected for analysis. Results: A total of 876 patients were positive for both anti-HCV and HCV RNA. Of these, 244 patients were eligible for interferon, although this was associated with relapse in 39 (16%) of patients. In total, 130 patients stopped interferon therapy (67% adverse effects, 28% non-adherent, 4% malignancy, 1% alcohol abuse) and 502 patients were ineligible (66% medical contraindications, 25% non-adherent, 5% socioeconomic problems). Among 671 patients who were ineligible for or failed to respond to interferon therapy, more than 186 (27.7%) could not be treated with DAA due to financial, social, or cancer-related conditions. Conclusions: Newly developed DAAs are a promising treatment for patients with chronic hepatitis C who are ineligible for or failed to respond to interferon-based therapy. Nevertheless, not all chronic hepatitis C patients can be treated with DAAs due to various reasons. (Clin Mol Hepatol 2017;23:74-79)
Double Line Voltage Synthesis Strategy for Three-to-Five Phase Direct Matrix Converters

This paper proposes a double line voltage synthesis (DLVS) strategy for three-to-five phase direct matrix converters. In the proposed strategy, the input and expected output voltages are divided into 6 segments and 10 segments, respectively. In addition, in order to obtain the maximum voltage transfer ratio (VTR), the input line voltages and "source key" should be selected reasonably according to different combinations of input and output segments. Then, the corresponding duty ratios are calculated to determine the switch sequences in different segment combinations. The output voltages and currents are still sinusoidal and symmetrical with little lower order harmonics under unbalanced or distorted input voltages by using this strategy. In addition, the common mode voltage (CMV) can be suppressed by rearranging some of the switching states. This strategy is analyzed and studied by a simulation model established in MATLAB/Simulink and an experimental platform, which is controlled by a DSP and FPGA. Simulation and experimental results verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed DLVS strategy.
