        현대와 전통의 교착(交錯)과 융합 : 漫說: 조선족 작곡가 權吉浩의 음악창작

        7년 전, 내가 제4차 전국음악작품 콩쿨 평심위원으로 있었을 때, 처음으로 조선족 청년작곡가 권길호(권길호)의 작품을 듣게 되었다. 그때 상해음악학원의 이름없는 작곡과 학생이었던 권길호가 보내온 작품은 피아노 조곡 「장단의 조합」이었다. 「장단의 조합」,(중국인들에겐 "장단"이란 단어가 길고 짧음으로 밖에 이해되지 않는다-번역자)이 괴상한 표제의 곡을 받아 보면서 처음엔 모두들 "선봉파"식의 추상적인 작품이 아닌가고 생각하였다. 사실 이 작품은 농후한 조선족 음악쟝르와 민속적인 정감이 차 넘친 아름다운 곡이었다. 그 당시 이 작품은 청년 피아노연주가 리건의 현장연주 후 강렬한 반응을 일으켰는데, 전체 평심위원들과 관람자들을 번쩍 놀래웠다고 보도되었다. 하여 이 작품은 그번 콩클에서 제일 첫자리로 수석 1등상을 타게 되었고, 그때로부터 권길호(권길호)라는 이 이름을 기억하게 되었다.

        The Compact Pulsed Hadron Source: A Design Perspective

        During the past decades, large-scale national neutron sources have been developed in Asia, Europe,and North America. Complementing such efforts, compact hadron beam complexes and neutron sources intended to serve primarily universities and industrial institutes have been proposed,and some have recently been established. Responding to the demand in China for pulsed neutron/proton-beam platforms that are dedicated to fundamental and applied research for users in multiple disciplines from materials characterization to hadron therapy and radiography to accelerator-driven sub-critical reactor systems (ADS) for nuclear waste transmutation, we have initiated the construction of a compact, yet expandable, accelerator complex-the Compact Pulsed Hadron Source (CPHS). It consists of an accelerator front-end (a high-intensity ion source, a 3-MeV radio-frequency quadrupole linac (RFQ), and a 13-MeV drift-tube linac (DTL)), a neutron target station (a beryllium target with solid methane and room-temperature water moderators/reflector),and experimental stations for neutron imaging/radiography, small-angle scattering, and proton irradiation. In the future, the CPHS may also serve as an injector to a ring for proton therapy and radiography or as the front end to an ADS test facility. In this paper, we describe the design of the CPHS technical systems and its intended operation.

        Effect of Crude Microbial Enzyme Pretreatment on the Liberation of Biological Compounds and Antioxidant Activity of Red Ginseng Extract

        To improve the quality of red ginseng extract,the effects of crude microbial enzyme pretreatment on the liberation of biological compounds and the antioxidant activity of the extract were studied. The total ginsenoside contents in red ginseng extract pretreated with and without crude microbial enzyme were 199 and 186μg/mL, respectively. More specifically, ginsenosides with the protopanaxadiol type of aglycone moieties showed significant increases (about 10%), while the protopanaxatriol type ginsenosides were hardly changed. Ginsenosides are thermally unstable,as they may degrade during thermal extraction above 70oC,and protopanaxatriol type ginsenosides are more susceptible than protopanaxadiol type. The contents of soluble solid,reducing sugars, polyphenolic compounds, and recovery of the enzymatic-pretreated group were increased 17, 51, 10,and 17%, respectively, compared with control. Additionally,the enzymatic-pretreated red ginseng extract showed significantly higher antioxidant activity and free radical scavenging ability than control.

        Rhein lysinate decreases inflammation and adipose infiltration in KK/HlJ diabetic mice with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

        The objective of this study was to investigate the protective effects of rhein lysinate (RHL) on the liver. Mice were divided into four groups: C57BL/J control, the KK/HlJ diabetic model, and 25 and 50 mg/kg/day RHLtreated KK/HlJ groups. The KK/HlJ diabetic mouse model was made by injecting STZ and feeding mice diabetic food. At 16 weeks, mice were sacrificed and their livers were harvested. The results indicated that compared with the C57BL/J control group, the body weights, liver weights and liver weight-to-body weight ratio were increased in KK/HlJ diabetic mice; however, these values were decreased following treatment with RHL. Compared with the C57BL/J control, KK/HlJ diabetic mice had a significantly lower level of SOD and GSH-px in their livers, but had a significantly higher level of MDA. However, these effects were ameliorated by RHL. Hepatic adipose infiltration was observed in KK/HlJ mice, but not in C57BL/J mice. RHL decreased the incidence of hepatic adipose infiltration and significantly decreased the expression of TNF-a, IL-6, NF-jB, SREBP-1c, and Fas, as well as the phosphorylation of NF-jB in the liver. In conclusion, RHL can improve hepatic function by decreasing hepatic adipose infiltration and the expression of inflammatory factors.

        Component Prototyping for the China Spallation Neutron Source Project

        The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) complex consists of an H- linear accelerator, a rapid cycling synchrotron accelerating the beam to 1.6 GeV, a solid tungsten target station and instruments for spallation neutron applications. The facility operates at a 25-Hz repetition rate with an initial design beam power of 120 kW and is upgradeable to 500 kW. The primary challenge is to build a robust and reliable user-friendly facility with upgrade potential at a fraction of the \world standard" cost. Success of the project relies on the results of prototyping research & development (R&D) of key technical systems and components. This paper discusses the prototyping experiences of the past two and a half years.         The Antiosteoporotic Effects of Cheonggukjang Containing Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone-7) in Ovariectomized Rats

        The effect of dietary vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7, MK-7) and cheonggukjang (CGJ) on the prevention of ovariectomy (OVX)-induced bone loss was studied in rats. Female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into eight groups: shamoperated; OVX control; OVX treated with MK-7 at doses of 2, 4, and 8 lg/day; and OVX treated with CGJ at doses of 0.063, 0.125, and 0.250 g/day referenced to MK-7 levels at 2, 4, and 8 lg/day, respectively. After 8 weeks of treatment, the preventive effects of MK-7 and CGJ were evaluated by measuring body weights, serum levels of bone turnover markers, bone mineral content (BMC), bone mineral density (BMD), trabecular microarchitectural properties, and bone histological characteristics. Our results showed that rats treated with a high dose of MK-7 (8 lg/day) exhibited a minor inhibitory effect on OVX-induced bone loss, as indicated by a significant increase in trabecular number, as well as BMC and BMD (P < .01). Moreover, the preventive effects of MK-7 were augmented by administration of CGJ at the same MK-7 dose. In addition, the preventive effects of CGJ were shown to be dose dependent, with the highest dose (0.250 g/day) significantly (P < .01) increasing BMC and BMD by 31.8% and 47.6%, respectively. In summary, these results suggest that administration of CGJ containing abundant levels of MK-7 may be a promising approach for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.

        Quantitative study on erosion degree of bone china glaze by common acid reagent at different temperature

        In this experiment, we selected "Tangshan bone china" 10.5-inch white porcelain flat plate produced by five differententerprises as experimental samples to study the erosion of bone porcelain enamel by different kinds of acidic reagents atdifferent temperatures. The specific experimental process was as follows: at different temperatures, 20% hydrochloric acid,30% sulfuric acid, 100 g/L citric acid and 10% acetic acid were used to continuously erode the sample glaze for 10h, and thewhiteness and 45º mirror direction gloss were measured every 2h. The results show that different acidic reagents at differenttemperatures have significant differences in the erosion characteristics and strength of bone porcelain glaze, and the corrosionresistance of products from different enterprises also have significant differences.

        Nonlinear Instability of Angle Section Beams under Uniformly Distributed Loads

        This paper presents a study on the flattening behavior of angle-section beams of finite length subjected to uniformly distributed transverse loads. Analytical solutions for static instabilities of angle-section beams when they are bent about their weak axis are derived using energy methods. The basic assumptions used in the present study are that the total strain energy of an angle-section beam subjected to a uniformly distributed load can be simplified into a two-stage process. One is the bending response of the two legs behaving as the plate; the other is the bending response as a beam with flattened section. The nonlinear instability is derived by applying the minimum potential energy principle and the corresponding static critical moments associated with the section flattening-induced buckling are determined. To validate the analytical solution developed, nonlinear finite element analyses are also conducted. Good agreement between the present solution and the FEA results is demonstrated.

        A multipath peroxymonosulfate activation process over supported by magnetic CuO-Fe3O4 nanoparticles for efficient degradation of 4-chlorophenol

        Heterogeneous catalysts with low cost, environmentally friendly, highly effective and ready separation from aqueous solution are highly desirable. Magnetic CuO-Fe3O4 nanoparticles, a type of non-toxic bimetallic transition metal oxide, is a promising heterogeneous catalyst for activation of peroxymonosulfate (PMS) to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) that has not been previously investigated. In this study, the activation of PMS by CuO-Fe3O4 nanoparticles was evaluated using the degradation of 4-chlorophenol as a model reaction. Several critical factors such as pH, catalyst dosage and PMS concentration were investigated. CuO-Fe3O4/PMS system demonstrated a wide effective pH range to degrade 4-chlorophenol, namely 5.5 to 9.5. With the increase of the catalyst dosage, the degradation efficiency of 4-chlorophenol appeared to increase first and then decrease, that the inflection point was 0.5 g/L. Elevated PMS concentration obviously improved the decomposition of 4-chlorophenol; however, the plateau was reached when the PMS concentration was 8mM. Further increase in PMS concentration would not significantly improve the removal efficiency. Through examining the effects of scavengers and electron spin resonance (ESR) analyses, CuO-Fe3O4 nanoparticles were proven to activate PMS through a non-radical and radical pathway to generate singlet oxygen, sulfate radicals and hydroxyl radicals. Based on results, CuO-Fe3O4 nanoparticles were effective, environmentally friendly and low cost catalysts for efficient activation of PMS. These features make CuO-Fe3O4 nanoparticles a readily available heterogeneous catalyst to activate PMS for refractory organic pollutants degradation in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs).
