Wei symptom(?證) is symptom that reveals muscle relaxation without contraction and muscle relaxation occurs in the lower or upper limb, in severe case, leads to death. This is the clinical report about the Wei symptom(?證)-patient doubt as Transverse Myelitis and Conversion Disorder. The patient was treated by acupuncture, moxibustion, herb medication(十全大補湯), electriccal stimulation theraphy, Bee Venom acupuncture, and had significant improvement in Wei symptom(?證). these results suggest the surface temperature differ remarkably from before being treated. The temperature is measured by using Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging(DITI). The results suggest that oriental medicare is an effective treatment for Wei symptom. We expected that therapeutic value of treatment of both leg Paralysis in the oriental medicine will be higher if more clinical studies and researches are accomplished.

Background: To determine the amount of co-expression of IDO and EGFR in breast cancer patients. Materials and Methods:In order to obtain the distribution of co-expression of IDO and EGFR in breast cancer, we tested 110 breast cancer paraffin tissue blocks with immunohistochemical methods. Then we investigated the relationship between the diagnostic and pathologic characteristics (tumor size, lymph node status, histologic grade, the gene expression of ER, PR, HER2, p53, Ki67 and PCNA) with the situation of co-expression of IDO and EGFR by reviewing the medical records of 32 breast cancer patients. Results: Among 110 breast cancers, 32 cases demonstrated IDO and EGFR co-expression (29.1%), IDO and EGFR synchronous co-expression being found in 19.1% and asynchronous in 10.0%. Conclusions: IDO and EGFR were co-expressed in breast cancer, including synchronous and asynchronous co-expression. The results suggest that considering IDO and EGFR as two indicators for breast cancer treatment or prognosis analysis provides a potential option of individual treatment for the portion of breast cancer patients with co-expression of IDO and EGFR.
종교의례활동은 중국 고대 국가활동의 중요한 구성 부분이다. 北魏 平城時代에는 종교의례활동이 매우 발달하였으며, 이것은 중국 고대 의례발전사에서 중간 교량의 위치를 차지하고 있다. 따라서 고고학적 각도에서 북위의 종교의례활동에 대해 연구하는 것은 매우 중요한 의미가 있다. 평성의 고고학적 발견은 아직 매우 풍부하지는 않지만, 지금 가지고 있는 제한적인 자료를 활용하여, 문헌자료의 도움을 받으면서, 평성의 종교와 의례 유적 및 유물에 대한 적당한 분석을 시도할 수 있다. 자료의 제한으로 말미암아 종교활동에 대한 분석은 불교사원만을 다룰 수밖에 없다. Religious ritual was one of the key national activities in ancient China, particularly during ``Pyeong Fortress`` Dynasty in the Northern Wei, which served as a bridge in advancing rituals during the ancient days. Being such, religious rituals in the Northern Wei is a significant part of the study from archeological point of view, With limited documentations and literature of Pyeong Fortress Dynasty whose archeological discovery is not as rich, the study will explore the religion, rituals, heritages and relics during the period. Analysis on the religious activities, however, will only cover Buddhist temples due to limited literature.

Background and Purpose: Cisplatin is the most common chemotherapeutic agent for loco-regionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC); however, toxicity is a limiting factor for some patients. We retrospectively compared the efficacy and toxicity of weekly docetaxel-based and cisplatin-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy in loco-regionally advanced NPC. Methods and Materials: Eighty-four patients with Stage III and IVA-B NPCs, treated between 2007 and 2008, were retrospectively analyzed. Thirty received weekly docetaxel-based concurrent chemotherapy, and 43 were given weekly cisplatin-based concurrent chemotherapy. Radiotherapy was administered using a conventional technique (seven weeks, 2.0 Gy per fraction, total dose 70-74 Gy) with 6-8 Gy boosts for some patients with locally advanced disease. Results: Median follow-up time was 42.3 months (range, 8.6-50.8 months). There were no significant differences in the 3-year loco-regional failure-free survival (85.6% vs. 92.3%; p=0.264), distant failure-free survival (87.0% vs. 92.5%; p=0.171), progression-free survival (85.7% vs. 88.4%; p=0.411) or overall survival (86.5% vs. 92.5%, p=0.298) of patients treated concurrently with docetaxel or cisplatin. Severe toxicity was not common in either group. Conclusions: Weekly docetaxel-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy is potentially effective and has a tolerable toxicity; however, further investigations are required to determine if docetaxel is superior to cisplatin for advanced stage NPC.
The genus Laena Dejean, 1821 belongs to the subfamily Lagriinae, tribe Laenini. Four new species of this genus are described and illustrated from Sichuan under the following name: Laena ceratina Wei & Ren, sp. nov., Laena edentata Zhao & Ren, sp. nov. (from Sichuan and Qinghai), Laena latitarsia Wei & Ren, sp. nov. (from Sichuan and Yunnan) and Laena sufflofemora Wei & Ren, sp. nov.. A key to the known Laena species from Sichuan is provided.
Background/Aims: To investigate the differential expression of RING finger (RNF) proteins in Barrett esophagus (BE) and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). Methods: The differential expression of RNFs in normal esophagus (NE), BE, and EAC was screened using microarray assay. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR), tissue microarray assay, and Western blot analysis were independently performed to detect the mRNA and protein expression of screened RNFs. Results: The expression of nine RNFs in the BE or EAC was 2-fold higher than those in NE. Among these proteins, the RNF32 and RNF121 expression in BE was 20.3-fold and 16.4-fold higher, respectively, than that in NE, and the expression of RNF24, RNF130, RNF141, RNF139, RNF11, RNF14, and RNF159 was upregulated more than 2-fold compared with NE. The expression of nine RNFs was not only upregulated in the EAC but was also positively related to the RNF expression in BE. The PCR results also indicated increased expression of these RNFs in BE and EAC compared to NE. Furthermore, the mRNA expression of all RNFs, except for RNF141 in EAC, was dramatically higher than those in the BE. Similar results were also obtained from the Western blot analysis. Conclusions: A total of nine RNFs play critical roles in the progression of BE to EAC. (Gut Liver 2014;8:487-494)

Introduction: Lung cancer is extremely harmful to human health and has one of the highest worldwide incidences of all malignant tumors. Approximately 80% of lung cancers are classified as non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs). Cisplatin-based multidrug chemotherapy regimen is standard for such lesions, but drug resistance is an increasing problem. F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 7 (FBW7) is a member of the F-box protein family that regulates cell cycle progression, and cell growth and differentiation. FBW7 also functions as a tumor suppressor. Methods: We used cell viability assays, Western blotting, and immunofluorescence combined with siRNA interference or plasmid transfection to investigate the underlying mechanism of cisplatin resistance in NSCLC cells. Results: We found that FBW7 upregulation significantly increased cisplatin chemosensitivity and that cells expressing low levels of FBW7, such as NCI-H1299 cells, have a mesenchymal phenotype. Furthermore, siRNA-mediated silencing or plasmid-mediated upregulation of FBW7 resulted in altered epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) patterns in NSCLC cells. These data support a role for FBW7 in regulating the EMT in NSCLC cells. Conclusion: FBW7 is a potential drug target for combating drug resistance and regulating the EMT in NSCLC cells.
目的範疇具有“意向性”、“‘目的-行爲'或‘行爲-目的'的語義關係”、“非現實”等三個根本性的語義特徵。幷且,以這三項語義特徵爲語義基礎可以建立目的範疇。 另外,以是否具有這三項語義特徵爲判斷標準,可以判斷一個句子或格式是否體現目的範疇。本硏究的判斷結果顯示:漢語目的複句、目的緊縮複句、帶有關聯詞語的目的單句、目的連動句以及“V + PO”結構能勾體現目的範疇。 因此,我們可以把關聯詞“爲、爲了、爲著、以、以便、以期、以求、好、借以、用以、來、以免、以防、省得、免得”以及關聯短語“爲(了)……而……、爲(了)……起見、爲的是、是爲了”等看做漢語目的範疇的目的標記。 The purpose category possesses three fundamental semantic features: intentionality, the semantic relationship of “Purpose-Action” or “Action- Purpose”, and irrealis. Moreover, these three semantic features can be used as the semantic foundation to establish the purpose category. In addition, whether a sentence or a construction possesses these three semantic features or not can be regarded as a criteria to tell this sentence or construction reflects the purpose category or not. The findings of this research showed that the purpose conjunctive sentence and the purpose contraction conjunctive sentence, the purpose conjunctive simple sentence which is connected by connectives, the purpose conjunctive serial verb sentence and ‘V + PO' construction have the function of reflecting the purpose category. Among these members of purpose category, the purpose conjunctive sentence is the most prototypical member, and rest of the members are marginal members. Therefore, we can regard the connective word such as “wei, weile, weizhe, yi, yibian, yiqi, yiqiu, hao, jieyi, yongyi, lai, yimian, yifang, shengde, miande” and the connective phrase such as “wei(le)……er……, wei(le)……qijian, weideshi, shiweile” as the purposive marker of the Chinese purpose category.
The increasing penetration of distributed energy resources on the distribution networks have brought a number of technical impacts where voltage and thermal variations have been identified as the dominant effects. Active network management in distribution networks aims to integrate distributed energy resources with flexible network management so that distributed energy resources are organized to make better use of existing capacity and infrastructure. This paper propose active solutions which aims to solve the voltage and thermal issues in a distributed manner utilizing a collaborative approach. The proposed algorithms have been fully tested on a distribution network with distributed generation units.
