Objectives: Prolactin is vital for breastfeeding and milk production, and its secretion is influenced by factors related to the mother, infant, and environment. To date, no study has concurrently investigated the correlation of these factors with serum prolactin levels during lactation. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the correlations among maternal and infant factors, lead exposure, and serum prolactin levels during lactation. Methods: A cross-sectional approach was employed in Surabaya, Indonesia, among 110 exclusively lactating mothers. The mothers’ daily diets were determined using multiple 24-hour recalls, while blood lead levels were measured with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Serum prolactin levels were assessed using the electrochemiluminescence immunoassay. For bivariate analysis, we employed the Spearman correlation, Mann-Whitney, and Kruskal-Wallis tests, while for multivariate analysis, we utilized multiple linear regression. Results: The average serum prolactin level of the lactating mothers was 129.19±88.96 ng/mL. Positive correlations were found between serum prolactin levels and breastfeeding frequency (<i>p</i> < 0.001), protein intake (<i>p</i> < 0.001), and calcium intake (<i>p</i> = 0.011) but had negative correlation with blood lead levels (<i>p</i> < 0.001) and vitamin B6 intake (<i>p</i> = 0.003). Additionally, prolactin levels were not significantly associated with maternal age; parity; intake of calories, vitamin D, vitamin E, zinc, folic acid, magnesium, or iron; infant age; or infant sex. Conclusions: Breastfeeding frequency had a stronger positive relationship with serum prolactin levels than protein and calcium intake. However, lead exposure was associated with reduced serum prolactin levels during lactation. Consequently, specific interventions from policymakers are necessary to manage breastfeeding in mothers exposed to lead.
Overview of management of children with COVID-19
Wati, Dyah Kanya,Manggala, Arya Krisna The Korean Pediatric Society 2020 Clinical and Experimental Pediatrics (CEP) Vol.63 No.9
The widespread and contagious coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 has become a burden in the global health domain. The subsequent discovery of the virus features and pathogenesis, and prompt and adequate management are still lacking and remain inconclusive. Children usually present milder symptoms than adults, and management focuses on providing symptomatic and respiratory supports. Several treatment modalities, including the utilization of mechanical ventilation (MV), antivirals, immune-modulating drugs, or other agents, may present promising results in reducing the symptoms of COVID-19, particularly in severe cases. Although no randomized clinical trials have been published to date, it is interesting to explore potential modalities for treating COVID-19 in children, based on review articles, case reports, and recent guidelines.
A Comparative Study of Internet Banking Satisfaction Model in South Korea and Indonesia
Wati, Yulia,Koo, Chul-Mo The Korea Society of Management Information System 2009 Asia Pacific Journal of Information Systems Vol.19 No.4
Banking industries have continuously innovated through technology-enhanced products and services. Many studies have recognized the importance of the Internet in banking industries, arguing that it has been widely adopted. Many studies published on the Internet banking in specific countries are mostly related with such issues as internet banking adoption and acceptance, security and risks of online banking system, and interface design. Several studies have been done to examine the differences and similarities between other banking channels and the Internet banking. However, to the best of our knowledge, only a limited number of studies has examined the differences and similarities between two specific countries in order to create a new customer satisfaction model. In this research, we studied the internet banking satisfaction model by comparing two countries: South Korea and Indonesia. We conducted an empirical study based on the data collected in both two countries. In this research, we found that countries which have adopted electric banking services, particularly between a country with high ICT adoption and a country with low ICT adoption, show different satisfaction trends. Based on the study results, herein we provide discussion, managerial, and practical implications.
The Mediating Role of “Trust” in Mobile Banking Success: An Empirical Study
Yulia Wati,Chulmo Koo 한국경영정보학회 2010 한국경영정보학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2010 No.1
Mobile banking has been considered to be one of the most value-added and important mobile services currently available. Considering the fact that the penetration of this technology is undefined well, particularly in developing country, this study clarified the role of trust as a mediating variable in mobile banking environment. An empirical study was undertaken in Indonesia and the data of 100 respondents were collected. The empirical results provided strong evidence for the explanatory power of our research model. Firstly, we found that the trust mediated the effects of information quality to perceived usefulness and end-user satisfaction. Second, the both relationships of system quality and perceived usefulness and system quality and end-user satisfaction were partially mediated by trust. Third, trust also showed a direct effect on both end-user satisfaction and perceived usefulness. Lastly, the result provided support of the positive relationship between perceived usefulness and end-user satisfaction. Implication for both practice and further research were also discussed.

iGRAPHIA –AN ONLINE COURSE ON INTERACTIVE PORTFOLIOS FOR ASEAN-ROK HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS
Fauziyah Md Aris,Zoraini Wati Abas APEC국제교육협력원 2015 Asia-Pacific Cybereducation Journal Vol.11 No.2
Students in higher education institutions come from different walks of lives, some with a wide experience from their daily work, personal, and lifelong learning activities. To better manage their lifelong learning (informal, non-formal and formal learning) activities, these students will benefit from putting together an e-portfolio that transcribes their learning experiences into a form that is both attractive and meaningful. A short online course titled “iGraphia” was designed and developed and made available as a pilot open online course to enable students to understand the nature and importance of an e-portfolio portfolios and who will be better able to connect informal and non-formal learning experiences with formal learning experiences by mapping and linking the various experiences as a set of learning journeys. This paper will report the design and development of the pilot course and on how the learning outcomes will be achieved by those who enroll.
