Development of the harpacticoid copepod Eutepina acutifrons at four temperatures (12, 15, 18 and 21 C) was studied in the laboratory using cultured individuals originating from the Gulf of Marseille (France). The animals were fed on a monospecific culture of Phaeodactylum tricornutum throughout the whole life cycle. Development durations is negatively correlated with temperature and can be described by Belehradek's equation (1935). The influence of temperature on duration of the various stages (embryonic, larval and postlarval) is not constant. A more rapid development of small males was noted at all temperatures. La duree du developpement du copepode harpacticoide Euterpina acutifrons a quatre temperatures (12, 15, 18 et 21℃) a ete etudiee a partir d'exemplaires du golfe de Marseills (France) eleves au laboratoire. Une culture monospecifique de Phaeodactylum tricornutum a ete utilisee comme nourriture pendant tout le cycle de vie. La duree du developpement de l'espece presente une correlation negative avec la temperature et peut etre exprimee par l'equation de Belehradek (1935). L'influence de la temperature sur la duree des differents stades (embryonnaire, larvaire et postlarvaire) n'est pas constante. Le developpement des petits males est le plus rapide a toutes les temperatures.
Citizen and Tourists Behavior Change through “Suroboyo Bus” as Eco- Friendly Tourism Transportation

Surabaya has a large population so that the waste produced per year is also large. Besides that many people choose to ride private vehicles rather than public transportation. Given that the Surabaya city government organizes tourism-based public transportation known as Suroboyo Bus. The type of research used in this paper was descriptive observational with a qualitative approach. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Suroboyo Bus to change behavior of Surabaya fs citizen. Suroboyo Bus is used as a tourism transportation for people who want to get around Surabaya and help to reduce the impact of plastic bottles in the area. The Suroboyo Bus ’’ system that has been formed by the Surabaya City government is already good. However, the implementation still has many weaknesses. The weaknesses that are still possessed by Suroboyo Bus need to be overcome so that the services provided can be optimal. There are many things which should be done to increase the quality of Suroboyo Bus The time needed for waiting must be shorter than before, it must reduce the comando ’s time to be more efficient. A monitor on the bus that displays the real purpose of the payment system and information about various tourist attractions can help the users. The routes of Suroboyo Bus should be added again in order to cover all tourist attractions in Surabaya. The stricter regulation that says that the number of plastic bottles / glasses is for 2 hours of travel shoul be real action. Cooperation with the sanitation and landscaping service that moves on improving environmental conditions also help to optimalize the system of Suroboyo Bus.

Somatic embryo-like structures were produced from the hypocotyls of aseptic plants of Capsicum chinense. Different concentrations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (0, 4.5, $9.05{\mu}M$), several exposure times of the explant to this auxin (15, 30, 45, 60 days) and the development of somatic embryos cultured in a solid and/or liquid medium were evaluated. As a result, a novel system of regeneration via direct somatic embryogenesis in liquid medium was established, with an efficiency of $1.77{\times}10^4$ somatic embryos per liter of medium. Critical stages of embryogenesis, including cellular acquisition of morphogenetic competence, suspensor formation, and development and maturation of somatic embryos, were identified by histological analysis and scanning electron microscopy. Our results show a promising new outlook on the in vitro regeneration of this species. Contrary to what has been reported to date for the Capsicum genus, it is a species of plants with higher embryogenic potential in vitro.

A 35-year-old woman underwent laparoscopic radical hysterectomy, pelvic lymphadenectomy and ovarian transposition for stage IB2 cervical adenocarcinoma. She received adjuvant concurrent chemoradiation for poor pathologic risk factors but had tumor recurrence 20 months after the surgery. Transposed ovaries were uninvolved in the recurrence and progression. Salvage chemotherapy and radiotherapy were given. Despite systemic chemotherapy and repeat pelvic radiotherapy, the patient was able to maintain ovarian function. Ovarian transposition in cervical cancer is an easily performed procedure that does not alter the prognosis of the disease in some cases. Present recommendations for its use should be reevaluated so that more premenopausal cancer patients may benefit from this underutilized procedure.

Iron toxicity is one of the obstacles to the growth and productivity of local swamp rice. This study aimed to identify iron toxicity-tolerant of local Kalimantan cultivars through their enzymatic and physiological responses. In this study, three Kalimantan local rice cultivars, ‘Amas’, ‘Kambang’, ‘Siam 11 Panjang’ and two control cultivars, ‘Inpara 1’ (iron toxicitytolerant) and ‘Ciherang’ (iron toxicity-susceptible) were used. Plants were grown in pyrite soil with three diferent iron concentrations which were 73.85 ppm (low), 114.21 ppm (moderate), and 1383.57 ppm (high) during the vegetative stage. Growth analysis showed that ‘Inpara 1’ had the lowest reduction of plant height, leaf length, leaf width, and leaf number, while ‘Amas’ tended to have tolerant characters with the lowest reduction of root length only. Under high iron levels, the lowest leaf bronzing score was shown by ‘Amas’, while the highest leaf bronzing score was observed in ‘Siam 11 Panjang’. The showed the lowest value of total chlorophyll, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, carotenoid and also ascorbate peroxidase activity but with the highest proline level under high iron. Meanwhile, ‘Kambang’ had the lowest reduction of ascorbate peroxidase activity compared to others. ‘Kambang’ also showed tolerant characters as seen in the highest value of superoxide dismutase, ascorbate peroxidase activity, and cell membrane stability index, meanwhile it has the lowest catalase) activity, proline level, and malondialdehyde level under high iron stress. From this study, it can be concluded that ‘Amas’ and ‘Kambang’ are potential candidates for iron toxicity-tolerant rice.
