The designing of structures, protecting motorways and railroads against snow avalanches is dealt with in this paper. The system of anti-avalanche structures – avalanche preventive structures in the fracture avalanches zone (nozzles, kolktafels snow-regulating fences, snow-restraining fences), avalanche dampers in the transit zones along the most dangerous logs # 1, and the avalanche protection works in the zone of avalanches accumulation is recommended.

The first measurement of the time-of-flight (TOF) resolution of a Bicron-408 scintillation counter equipped with magnetic-resistant fine-mesh Hamamatsu R7761-70 photomultipliers is presented. The data were obtained using the proton beam of the MC50 Cyclotron of the Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS). The TOF resolution for ~45-MeV protons is 18.2 ps. Its dependence on the light output L is well fitted by 41.6ps/L/LMIP , where LMIP denotes the light output produced by relativistic minimum-ionizing muons which deposit ΔE ~ 6 MeV in the detector volume. Background: Evaluation of electrophysiological parameters of gastrointestinal tract motility in patients with axial hiatal hernia. Methods: Object of study is 20 patients with axial hiatal hernia. The studied phenomenon is electrophysiological indicators of gastrointestinal tract motility. The method of investigation is peripheral electrogastroenterography (PEGEG) with the help of “Gastroskan-HEV” device according to standard procedures. Static data processing is a discriminative analysis. Results: The analysis of peripheral electrogastroenterography (PEGEG) indicators for patients with axial hiatal hernia revealed statistically signifi cant changes of 22 indicators mainly due to changes of Pi, Pi/Ps, Pi/P(i +1) parameters and Krhythm. Signifi cant differences with the control group are revealed on basal and stimulated Pi, Pi/Ps, Pi/ P(i +1) parameters and Krhythm of stomach, duodenum and colon. There was a statistically signifi cant doubling in basal and stimulated values of Pi/P(i +1) of stomach / duodenum, indicating that there was a motor discoordination of gastroduodenal junction. Change in colon PEGEG indicators in our opinion has been associated with the presence of neuro-refl ex connections between the stomach and colon, and manifested in a signifi cant increase in the stimulated Pi/Ps colon index. During the discriminative analysis of PEGEG indicators the patients with axial hiatal hernia were distributed in a separate from the control group with 97.7% accuracy. Conclusions: The discriminative analysis of PEGEG indicators in patients with axial hiatal hernia revealed signifi cant changes of 22 PEGEG indicators mostly of stomach and colon, refl ecting violations of discoordination of gastrointestinal motor activity with a high degree of difference from the group of healthy individuals.

This paper proposes mathematical models of the process of information interaction between a set of subjects (IoT devices) and a base station in the 5G-IoT ecosystem. The researched process, in this case, is represented by a queuing system with a flow of new incoming requests with needs for the desired volumes of system resources and a flow of service signals, the receipt of which initiates redefinition of allocated for received incoming requests volumes of system resources. A controlled parameter in the created queuing system is the acceptance or rejection of new incoming requests. The priority is to support active sessions of subject-system interaction initiated for the received incoming requests. We consider two functional scenarios, which differ asynchronously or synchronously when a service signal comes to the base station’s front-end interface. The receipt marks a partial or complete redefinition of system resources involved in supporting active sessions of subject-system interaction. Formalized in the basis of a single queuing system, mathematical models of development of these functional scenarios allow calculating the probability of rejection of a new incoming request and the percentage of occupied system resources, combined in the metrics of quality indicators, in the conditions of asynchronous or synchronous change of the spatial location relative to the base station of the end IoT devices, the received input requests from which are active in the 5G-IoT ecosystem.

The upgrade of Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) is undergo since 2010. The updated CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS12) detector is being developed for the JLab upgrade program up to 12 GeV. One of the important component of CLAS12 will be the central time-of-flight system (CTOF). The CTOF will provide detection and identification of charged particles emitted at central angles from 40 to 130. The design goal is to achieve a time-offlight resolution TOF = 50 ps. This study evaluated the timing properties of the CTOF prototype counter. The performance of the upgraded prototype 3 × 3.2 × 66 cm3 scintillation bar of BC-408,coupled to fine-mesh R5924-70 and R7761-70 Hamamatsu photomultipliers via acrylic light guides, has been measured by using two different methods: cosmic rays at Kyungpook National University (KNU), and proton beams at the MC-50 cyclotron of the Korea Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences (KIRAMS). The gain and the timing resolution of fine-mesh PMs were compared with a conventional Hamamatsu R2083 PM. In the cosmic-ray test, the TOF resolutions were measured to be FM.PM = 79 ± 0.75stat ± 4syst ps and R2083 = 73 ± 1.3stat ± 4syst ps for fine-mesh and ordinary photomultipliers, respectively. With proton beams, these values were FM.PM = 39.1 ±0.55 ps and R2083 = 35.0 ± 0.54 ps at count rate 0.15 MHz. These remained constant at higher count rates up to 1.5 MHz. The average ratio of the fine-mesh to the ordinary PM resolutions was 1.123 ± 0.02. The upgrade of Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) is undergo since 2010.
