미소경도시험에 의한 세라믹피복강재의 밀착성에 관한 연구

To the ceramic films, Al₂O₃and Zro₂, coated by RF magnetron sputtering on a stainless (SUS410) and pure Fe, this paper considers a method of deciding the adherence index based on the measure of micro-hardness. The proposed method is also used to evaluate the adherence of other ceramic coatings. In case where the hardness of a coated film is harder than that of substrate, the composite-hardness will approach to that of the substrate. The main results obtained are summarized as following: (1) for the ceramic film with the film thickness 1㎛, it has only single value of X. However, in case of the film thickness of 2㎛ or 3㎛ and above, we get two value of X. (2) The ceramic film considered is more adherent to the mild steel like a pure Fe than the high strength steel suck as a stainless steel. (3) The adherence of ceramic film, which has amorphous structure, is superior to the ceramic film with a crystal structure.

This experiment was conducted to find out the effect of sucrose on fresh weight, vase life and flowering rate of snapdragon. In the pretreatment of 12, 24 and 48 hrs, fresh weight without sucrose (control) was decreased rapidly, while that of sucrose increased slowly until the experiments were terminated. Sucrose was found apparently to be effective in increasing the fresh weight when duration of pretreatment was long. It was shown that sucrose in the vase solution extended vase life and increased flowering rate than control.
SI 엔진의 배기계 개선을 통한 THC 저감에 관한 연구

Studies were performed to improve the emission characteristics by optimizing the flow in the exhaust manifold and CCC in a SI engine. For this purpose, the flow characteristics in the exhaust manifold and CCC were measured by using LDV technique under several engine conditions. Referring to these data, a new type exhaust manifold was designed to improve the cold-start emission characteristics and the response characteristics of O2 sensor by optimizing the flow pattern and reducing the thermal inertia of the exhaust manifold system. It was found through the vehicle emission tests that the emission characteristics of THC of the new type exhaust manifold was improved by 12% through the optimizing the flow pattern in the exhaust manifold.

In particle or short-fiber reinforced composites, cracking or debonding of the reinforcements cause a significant damage mode because the damaged reinforcements lose load carrying capacity. The average stress in the inhomogeneity represents its load carrying capacity, and the difference between the average stresses of the intact and broken inhomogeneities indicates the loss of load carrying capacity due to cracking damage. The composite in damage process contains intact and broken reinforcements in a matrix. An incremental constitutive relation of discontinuously-reinforced composites including the progressive cracking damage of the reinforcements have been developed based on the Eshelby's equivalent inclusion method and Mori-Tanaka's mean field concept. Influence of the cracking damage on the stress-strain response of the composites is demonstrated.
Improvement of aged lower eyelid by insertion of polydioxanone threads

Orbital fat protrusion, skin laxity with wrinkling, and tear trough deformity with hyperpigmentation of the lower eyelid make individuals appear fatigued and elderly. For cosmetic correction of the aged lower eyelid, either invasive blepharoplasties or less invasive procedures such as filler, high frequency device therapy or laser therapy are popularly performed. Currently in Korea, polydioxanone (PDO) thread is commonly utilized to tighten and lift the aged face. We present a case report demonstrating improvement of orbital fat protrusion, skin laxity with wrinkles, and tear trough deformity following insertion of PDO threads into the lower eyelid of an aging patient. Twenty PDO threads (6.0 USP, 30 mm in length, New Up PDO suture Kit ?? produced by Meditronic Dongjun) were inserted at 1-mm intervals into the submuscular layer and the protruded orbital fat pads of both lower eyelids of a 54-year-old patient. Two months following intervention, the patient presented with flattening of the protruded orbital fat, skin tightening and wrinkle improvement, volume restoration in tear trough deformity, and skin whitening; the patient was satisfied with the results of the therapy. Common complications such as persistent swelling, hematoma, skin irregularity, and infection were not observed during follow-up assessments. Our findings suggest that PDO thread insertion may be a useful, non-invasive procedure to rejuvenate the aged lower eyelid of patients with anxieties regarding potential complications due to invasive lower blepharoplasty.
Influence of Tyrosol on Cell Growth Inhibition of KB Human Oral Cancer Cells

Tyrosol, a phenylethanoid and a derivative of phenethyl alcohol, possesses various biological properties, such as anti-oxidative and cardioprotective activity. Olive oil is the principal source of tyrosol in the human diet. However, so far the anti-cancer activity of tyrosol has not yet been well defined. This study therefore undertakes to examine the cytotoxic activity and the mechanism of cell death exhibited by tyrosol in KB human oral cancer cells. Treatment of KB cells with tyrosol induced the cell growth inhibition in a concentration- and a time-dependent manner. Furthermore, the treatment of tyrosol induced nuclear condensation and fragmentation of KB cells. Tyrosol also promoted proteolytic cleavage of procaspase-3, -7, -8 and –9, increasing the amounts of cleaved caspase-3, -7, -8 and –9. In addition, tyrosol increased the levels of cleaved PARP in KB cells. These results suggest that tyrosol induces the suppression of cell growth and cell apoptosis in KB human oral cancer cells, and is therefore a potential candidate for anti-cancer drug discovery.

Ionic liquids based on l-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium cation $(EMI^+)$ and inorganic or organic anions containing fluorine atoms were applied to electrolyte materials for double-layer capacitors. The double-layer capacitors composed of a pair of activated carbon electrodes and an ionic liquid selected from $EMIBF_4,\; EMINbF_6,\;EMITaF_6,\;EMICF_3SO_3,\;EMI(CF_3SO_2)_2N,\;and\;EMI(C_2F_5SO_2)_2N$ showed inferior low-temperature characteristics to those of a conventional nonaqueous electrolyte based on propylene carbonate (PC) solvent. On the other hand, the capacitor using $EMIF{\cdot}2.3HF$ showed excellent low-temperature characteristics due to its high conductivity at low temperatures, however, it had a lower working voltage $(\~2V)$ than the conventional nonaqueous counterpart $(\~3V)$.

We present highly efficient indium tin oxide free Organic photovoltaic cells based on poly-(3-hexylthiophene) and [6,6] - phenyl - C60 - butyricacid methyl ester (P3HT : PCBM) comprising a polymeric anode from highly conductive organic solvent-based polyaniline(PANI). The transmittance and sheet resistance of the PANI film were varied in the ranges of 65?.90% at 550nm and 50?380 Ω/□ respectively. We fabricated ITO-free OPV cells using PANI as an anode, which exhibited an external power conversion efficiency of 1.2% with a result of Jsc of 5.355㎃/㎠, Voc of 0.615V, and FF of 30.33% under an illumination of air mass(AM) 1.5G (100㎽/㎠).
