On Integrability Conditions of Almost Generalized Hopf Structures
Toyoko Kashiwada KYUNGPOOK UNIVERSITY 1999 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.39 No.1
An almost generalized Hopf structure is an almost Hermitian structure whose metric is locally conformal to an almost Kähler one. In this paper, we discuss integrability conditions of its almost complex structure : An integrability condition is obtained and it is applied to some classes of almost generalized Hopf manifolds.
Evaluative Research on Reminiscence Partnership Program for Elderly Persons in Community
Toyoko Nomura 한국노년학연구회 2009 한국 노년학연구 Vol.18 No.-
The current paper examined the effect of group reminiscence for the community-dwelling elderly persons using cross-generational approach. The study was framed by Reminiscence Partnership Program that encompassed the intervention of reminiscence group, the training of the university students and the professionals of health and social division, and the evaluation. Sixteen elderly persons participated in the reminiscence group. They were divided into two groups of 8. They attended an hour-long group session once every two weeks over three months. The themes of the group were chronological and non-chronological, with the use of props of the local community. Evaluation of the program included pre- and post-test of MMSE, the Activity Scale of TMIG and Baum Test as well as focus group interview. The results of the focus group conducted to both the elderly and the students brought to light the socio- cultural and interactional aspect of group. It was suggested that the group reminiscence was effective for the elderly participants to bring out a sense of confidence towards the continuity of self. On the part of the students, it was found that it enhanced the students' learning in the possibilities in aging and their reflection on themselves as future career. A conceptual model is proposed in understanding the multi-dimensional effects of reminiscence intervention. The differences in the group development and dynamics between the two groups are also described. Themes of reminiscence and some ethical considerations in conducing reminiscence group are discussed. Evaluative research on the intervention of reminiscence group with both qualitative and quantitative account is highly invited.

Many persons suffer form severe disabilities such as armyouophic lateral selerosis (ALS) caused by neurological disorders. Such kinds of disablilities bring various restrictions to communication and circumstance in their daily life. A simple communication method using neuro-biological signal will be effective and helpful to-enhance their life quality. In this study, a simple on-off communication method using electroncephalogram(EEG) and electroculogram(EOG) was proposed. In case of EEG, parameters for linear regressive equation were selected by ATC. The results showd that the accuracy was extremely high with both communication methods.
Local interaction imaging by SiGe quantum dot probe
정연길,Masato Hirade,Ryohei Kokawa,Hirofumi Yamada,Kei Kobayashi,Noriaki Oyabu,Toyoko Arai,Akira Sasahara,Masahiko Tomitori 한국물리학회 2012 Current Applied Physics Vol.12 No.2
Local interaction imaging of cleaved InAs surface (110) using a high aspect ratio (HAR) SiGe quantum dot (QD) probe was demonstrated by frequency-modulation mode noncontact atomic force microscopy under atmospheric pressure. The local contrast image with pronounced brightness is mainly attributed to no contact potential difference between the HAR SiGe-QD probe apex and the sample surface, and low frequency-change of the HAR SiGe-QD probe.
