Magmatism in the Huili area (SW margin of the Yangtze block) was active during the early Mesoproterozoic, and has important implications on the early tectonic evolution of the Yangtze block. We report new data in petrology, whole-rock geochemistry, zircon U-Pb and Hf isotopes for the Yaopengzi dolerite in the Huili area. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating of the dolerite yielded an early Mesoproterozoic age of ca. 1515–1513 Ma, coeval with the Columbia supercontinent breakup. The dolerite belongs to the alkali basalt series, and is enriched in light rare earth elements (LREE) and large ion lithophile elements (LILE), resembling typical oceanic island basalt (OIB) in geochemistry. Zircons from the Yaopengzi dolerite yielded 176Hf/177Hf = 0.28192–0.28203 and εHf(t) = –0.3 to 5.3. Our integrated study suggests that parental magma of the Yaopengzi dolerite may have originated from the enriched mantle, and was slightly contaminated by crustal materials during its evolution. Combining with regional tectonic background, the early Mesoproterozoic mafic magmatism at/around Yaopengzi may have formed in a mantle plume-related intracontinental rift setting. This reflects that the early Mesoproterozoic extension in the Yangtze block may have resulted from mantle plume activities led by the Columbia supercontinent breakup.

본 연구는 지역경제이론을 바탕으로 연변 조선족 지역이 길림성으로부터 받는 편극효과와 연변지역 내부의 공간 편극효과에 대해 살펴보았다. 분석한 결과, 지난 십여년간 길림성의 도시화 진척은 빠르게 진행되었고 길림성 내부와 연변 내부에는 장춘시와 연길시를 성장극으로 하는, 공간 편극효과가 일어나고 있으나 최근에는 점차 안정적인 추세를 보이고 있다. 이런 분석을 기초로, 지역위치특징, 행정자원의 영향, 정부의 개발정책 등 면으로부터 연변지역의 공간 편극 원동력을 고찰하였다. 끝으로 도시화 추진, 새로운 경제성장점의 육성, 행정지역의 통합공간계획과 관리의 강화 등 정책적 시사점을 제기하였다. This paper aims to analyze the polarization effects on Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province as well as inner spatial polarization and its tendency on a basis of systematic statistics by the approach of consulting relevant documents and the theory of regional economy. According to polarization analysis, the urbanization rate in Jilin Province is increasing at a drastic speed since the exercise of reform and opening up to the outside world policy. The polarization phenomenon also occurs to inner Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture varying in degrees. Yanji City is looked upon as the main economic developmental city. Although the inner polarization rates in Changchun City and Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture has increased, the tendency is not clear in the recent years. The paper analyzes the spatial polarization power of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture from the following four aspects: regional feature, natural resource, administration resource and government policy on a basis of the analysis of current polarization situation in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. As correlated countermeasures to develop Yanbian regional economy, it is strongly recommended to impel urbanization continuously, enhance breeding new industry growth point, strengthen spatial regulation and management of cross-administration regions.
Analysis of the cooperation of new energy industry between Korea and China

Northeast Asia, one of the main driving engines of the world economy, is experiencing fast economic growth and enhanced living standards. Unfortunately, the region is also consuming a great deal of natural resources and polluting the environment. Therefore, this study focuses on the development of the new energy industry as the basic foundation of green development. However, most types of new energy sources are widely distributed and with low energy density, resulting in their inability to replace fossil energy in a short period. New energy industry development therefore necessitates more investments in technique, capital, and management that emphasize the importance of international cooperation. In this study, we analyze new energy industry cooperation between China and Korea, and forecast the economic effects of this cooperation. To evaluate the necessity of the cooperation, we utilize an intra industry index to build a new index that can represent the relative gains of cooperators from improving energy efficiency. In the process, we emphasize the benefits of new energy cooperation. The vector autoregression model (VAR) helps us find significant relationships among energy cooperation index, trade relations, and GDP. Based on the results, we can quantify the economic effects of new energy industry cooperation between China and Korea.

This study aim s to analyze the com petitiveness of agricultural products in Korea, China and Japan and the effect of increasing im ports from Korea and China. and then w e discussed how to cooperate in the agricultural trade field betw een the three countries. The results are sum m arized as follow s. First, The intra-industry trade of agricultural products w as the m ost active in Korea and China, follow ed by the intra-industry trade index betw een Korea and Japan. The intra-industry trade betw een China and Japan w ere the low est. Second, The m utual com plem entarity of agricultural products trade betw een Korea, China and Japan is m ostly high. Am ong them , Korea and Japan are the highest, w hile Japan and China have the low est com plem entarity. Third, it w as found that in tariff elim ination, im ports of rice and m eat products increased the m ost, w hile the im port grow th rate of green tea, m eat products and ginseng increased the m ost. Finally, the three countries in Korea, China, and Japan can consider the w ay to increase the trade of agricultural products in the region by internalizing the trade of com plem entary item s w hile m aintaining a constant level of production of m utually com petitive products.

AgInCd alloy is widely used as neutron absorber in nuclear reactors. However, the AgInCd control rods may fail during service due to the irradiation swelling. In the present study, a calculational method is proposed to calculate the composition change of the AgInCd absorber. Calculated results show that neutron fluence has significant impact on the chemical compositions. Ag and In contents gradually decrease while Cd and Sn conversely increases from the center to the rim of AgInCd absorber due to the depression of neutron flux. The composition change at the surface is higher almost two times than that at the center. Based on the calculated compositions, six simulated AgInCdSn alloys were prepared and examined. With the increase of Cd and Sn, the simulated AgInCdSn alloys transform from a single fcc phase into the mixed fcc and hcp phases, and finally into the single hcp phase. The atomic volume of the hcp phase is obviously larger than the fcc phase. The fcc-hcp transformation results in considerable volume swelling of the AgInCd absorber. Moreover, the lattice parameters of the fcc and hcp phases gradually increase with Cd and Sn contents, which also can induce small volume swelling.
