The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of organizational culture on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees in small and medium-sized enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The study hypothesized that organizational culture has a significant influence on employees’ satisfaction and that satisfaction also significantly impactsorganizational commitment among employees. The data are collected from a sample of 240 office employees. Structural Equation Modeling is used to determine the influence of organizational culture dimensions, including open working environment, salary, and rewards, empowerment, management style, corporate values, on employees’ satisfaction and organizational commitment. The findings showed that the five dimensions of organizational culture positively impact employees’ satisfaction and that job satisfaction significantly influences organizational commitment. Thus, job satisfaction serves as the bridge between organizational culture and commitment. The current study contributes to providing a practical insight into the relationships between organizational culture, employees’ job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Based on that, managers can develop suitable personnel policies for their organizations to simultaneously enhance employees’ performance and satisfaction, which makes them stay with the company.
Effects of tendon damage on static and dynamic behavior of CFTA girder
Thuy Dung Vu,김두기,이상윤,Sandeep Chaudhary 국제구조공학회 2013 Steel and Composite Structures, An International J Vol.15 No.5
Experimental studies and finite element analyses have been carried out to establish the effect of tendon damage on the structural behavior of concrete filled tubular tied arch girder (CFTA girder). The damage of tendon is considered in different stages by varying the number of damaged cables in the tendon. Static and dynamic structural parameters are observed at each stage. The results obtained from the experiments and numerical studies have been compared to validate the studies. The tendons whose damage can significantly affect the stiffness of the CFTA girder are identified by performing the sensitivity analysis. The locations in the girder which are sensitive to the tendon damage are also identified.
Rainfall Rate Forecasting for Satellite Link Analysis
Luong Ngoc Thuy Dung,손원 사단법인 한국위성정보통신학회 2014 한국위성정보통신학회논문지 Vol.9 No.4
In the satellite system design, the design processes from the initial design to launch take about 5 years and the broadcastingsatellite lifetime goes over 15 years. Furthermore, global warming phenomenon causes rainfall rate to increase more and morein some regions on the earth. Consequently, at the stage of the satellite link design, we need to consider the future rainattenuation over 20 years. In this paper, we investigated a time-series system model for forecasting to consider the futurerainfall rate for the satellite broadcasting service. We found that rainfall rate of the future 20 years is increasing continuously.
Conversion of Rain Rate Cumulative Distributions by Multiple Regression Model
Luong Ngoc Thuy Dung,손원 사단법인 한국위성정보통신학회 2014 한국위성정보통신학회논문지 Vol.9 No.4
At frequencies above 10 GHz, rain is a dominant propagation phenomenon on satellite link attenuation. The prediction ofrain attenuation is based on the point rainfall rate for 0.01 % of an average year with one minute integration time. Mostof available rain data have been measured with 60 minutes integration time, and many researchers have been studying onconverting the rainfall rate data from various integration times to one minute integration time. This paper proposes a newMultiple Regression model for the conversion, and the proposed schemes show better performance than the existing schemes.
Optimal Configuration of SVC for Satellite Broadcasting Service with Ku/Ka Bands
Luong Ngoc Thuy Dung,손원(Won Sohn) 한국방송·미디어공학회 2010 한국방송공학회 학술발표대회 논문집 Vol.2010 No.11
The study investigated the optimal configuration of SVC (Scalable Video Coding) to apply to the satellite broadcasting service, and compared the performance of the SVC with that of the AVC (Advanced Video Coding). To get the optimal configuration, we analyzed the optimal bit rate allocation between the layers and the optimal scalability which requires the least bit rate for the required PSNR for various kinds of contents using JSVM. As a result of investigation, we found that the optimal bit rate allocation occurs when the bit rate of the base layer is minimum, and the spatial scalability shows the best performance. The performance of SVC is similar to that of AVC for spatial scalability, but it depends on contents.
