Continuous Behavior of Using Food Delivery Mobile Applications in Vietnam after Covid-19 Pandemic

Purpose: During and after Covid-19 pandemic, technology has emerged as a key factor in supporting the recovery of the economy and the rise of living standards. This study examines seven factors affecting the intention of food delivery apps usage, which include Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit, and how much influence they have on the customers' behavioral continuance of food delivery apps after Covid-19 Pandemic. Research methodology: This research is a quantitative descriptive research with 473 qualified respondents from 550 respondents collected. Besides using the UTAUT2 model (Venkatesh et al., 2012), Information Quality was added to give a better explanation for the consumers’ intention towards continuance behavior using food delivery apps. The collected data is then processed using SPSS 22.0. Results: Habit factors and Information Quality factors have significant positive effects on promoting food delivery apps usage intention, which in turn influences continuance behavior. In addition, Habit factors and Information Quality factors together have an effect of 48.57% on Behavioral Intention. Conclusion: The result proves that positive habits and food information quality can increase the usage intention towards the behavioral continuance of consumers. Higher usage frequency can be improved by increasing these two factors.

This paper proposes and examines the economic impact of infrastructure improvement on the San-En-Nanshin region in the Chubu area of Japan. We develop a single transportation computable general equilibrium (CGE) model for each subregion within the San-En-Nanshin region. The explicit modeling of the transportation infrastructure is defined based on interregional commuting flows and business trips, considering the spatial structure of the San-En-Nanshin economy. A CGE model is integrated with an interregional transportation network model to enhance the framework’s potential for understanding the infrastructure’s role in regional development. To evaluate the economic impact of transportation improvement, we analyze the interrelationship between travel time savings and regional output and income. The economic impact analysis under the CGE framework reveals how transportation facilities and systems affect firm and household behavior and therefore induce changes in the production and consumption of commodities and transportation services. The proposed theoretical model was tested by using data from the 2005 IO tables of each subregion and the 2006 transport flow dataset issued by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism in Japan. As a result, the paper confirms the positive effect of transportation investment on the total output and income of the studied region. Specifically, we found that while economic benefits typically appear in urban areas, rural areas can still potentially benefit from transportation improvement projects.
Analyzing Online Customer Reviews for the Hotel Classification in Vietnam

The classification standards for hotels in Vietnam are different from many other hotel classification standards in the world. This study aims to analyze customer reviews on the TripAdvisor website to develop a new algorithm for hotel rating that is independent of Vietnam’s hotel classification standards. This method can be applied to individual hotels, or hotels of a region or the whole country, while online booking sites only rate individual hotels. Data was crawled from TripAdvisor with 22,287 reviews of 5 cities in Vietnam. This study used a statistical model to analyze the review dataset and build an algorithm to rate hotels according to aspects or hotel overall. The results have less rating deviation when compared to the TripAdvisor system. This study also supports hotel managers to regularly update the status of their hotels using data from customer reviews, from which, managers can strategize long-term solutions to improve the quality of the hotel in all aspects and attract more travelers to Vietnam. Moreover, this method can be developed into an automatic system to rate hotels and update the status of service quality more quickly, thus, saving time and costs.

<P>A novel reactive hot melt adhesive was prepared by coating an epoxy resin on maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene (MAPE) powder. This adhesive had markedly improved adhesion power compared with pristine MAPE powder, which is normally used as a hot melt adhesive. The generation of an ester linkage by the reaction between the anhydride group of MAPE and the hydroxyl group of epoxy resin, during the bonding operation at 190°C with the pressure of 22 MPa for 30 min, was confirmed from the FTIR spectra. The bond strength was further improved by a small amount of 1-methylimidazole, which accelerated the esterification reaction. When the epoxy resin was coated on hydrated MAPE, in which the anhydride group of MAPE was converted into carboxylic acid group by the reaction with water, the esterification reaction was much faster than that of pristine MAPE, and consequently, the bond strength of the adhesive was much higher than that of pristine MAPE coated with epoxy resin. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Building-up a capillary electrophoresis system having both UV and electrochemical detectors

A home-built capillary electrophoresis system equipped with an on-column UV detector and a post-column amperometric detector is developed in order to separate and detect any sample having either optical activity or electrochemical activity. The system has been tested for aniline and phenols and aniline by Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatographic method. Absorption and electrochemical properties of the samples are also investigated.

Different kinds of materials for electrodes based on glassy carbon, carbon fibers, and modified by an ionic liquid (BMIMBF4) were used to determine 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in water environment by differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry. The modified electrode based on BMIMBF4 showed a better performance than those based on the microelectrode and glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in term of sensitivity. The best performance was obtained with the ionic liquid-modified electrode with 80:10:10 (w/w/w) of the graphite powder/paraffin oil/BMIMBF4 composition in PBS, pH 8. The TNT concentration was linear in the range 1.5 to ~30 ppm for all studied electrodes (r = 0.9978) with a detection limit of 88.6 ppb using IL-CPE (ionic liquid-modified carbon paste electrode). This latter electrode was used to measure real samples taken from Red River, Vietnam. The recovery study for TNT in natural samples gave values from 99.7% to 103.3%. IL-CPE demonstrated long-term stability and reproducibility, with a relative standard deviation of 1.67%.

There are various chemical, physical and biological methods that have been applied to remove antibiotic residuals from aqueous environment. We investigated the removal of ampicillin (AMP) by a novel nanometer-size Fe3O4/graphene oxide/aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (FGOA). Based on the sol-gel method, the graphene oxide (GO) was first modified by aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS) to form GOA material containing both acidic and basic surface functional groups. The nanomagnetic iron oxide was then decorated to the GOA surface at various weight ratios by ultra-sonication in ethanol, resulting in different FGOA samples. The as-synthesized FGOA had single-layer structure and parallel array-like well-distributed Fe3O4. In laboratory-scale, the AMP treatment efficiency by FGOA with the ratio of Fe3O4 :GOA as 1 : 5 ratio reached the highest value around 94% within 100 min and only lost 1% after five regeneration cycles. The maximum adsorption capacity of FGOA was 294mg g1, significantly much higher than the previously published materials applied to AMP uptake. Interestingly, the optimum pH of FGOA ranged extensively from 4 to 9, revealing high application potential to real wastewater without any pH adjustment. The reasonable mechanism might be mainly attributed to electrostatic attraction, hydrophilic, and π-π interaction.
