In this paper we study the existence of non-trivial weak solutions of the Neumann problem for quasilinear elliptic equations in the form $$-div(h(x){\mid}{\nabla}u{\mid}^{p-2}{\nabla}u)+b(x){\mid}u{\mid}^{p-2}u=f(x,\;u),\;p{\geq}2$$ in an unbounded domain ${\Omega}{\subset}\mathbb{R}^N$, $N{\geq}3$, with sufficiently smooth bounded boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$, where $h(x){\in}L_{loc}^1(\overline{\Omega})$, $\overline{\Omega}={\Omega}{\cup}{\partial}{\Omega}$, $h(x){\geq}1$ for all $x{\in}{\Omega}$. The proof of main results rely essentially on the arguments of variational method.
Inhibitory Effects of Vietnamese Medicinal Plants on Monoamine Oxidase Activity
Hung, Vu Manh,Minh, Chau Van,Kiem, Phan Van,Dang Thi Lan Huong,Nguyen Tien Dat,Kim, Young Ho 충남대학교 약학대학 의약품개발연구소 2002 藥學論文集 Vol.17 No.-
In vitro in screening test aiming to find monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors from Vietnamese medicinal plants, the MeOH extracts of seventeen medicinal plants were tested for the inhibitory effects on monoamine oxidase activity. MAO was purified from mouse brain and its activity was determined by fluorospectrophotometer using kynuramine as a substrate. Five MeOH extracts of medicinal plants including Cnidium monnineri showed quite strong inhibitory effects at the concentration of 250 ㎍/㎖. Six MeOH extracts of herbs including Astragalus membranaceus showed moderate inhibitory effects on this enzyme. Seven medicinal plants which showed good inhibitory effects on MAO were fractionated with CH_2Cl_2, EtOAc, BuOH and H_2O, successively. They were investigated for the inhibitory effects on MAO.
EXISTENCE OF WEAK NON-NEGATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A CLASS OF NONUNIFORMLY BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM
Hang, Trinh Thi Minh,Toan, Hoang Quoc Korean Mathematical Society 2012 대한수학회보 Vol.49 No.4
The goal of this paper is to study the existence of non-trivial non-negative weak solution for the nonlinear elliptic equation: $$-div(h(x){\nabla}u)=f(x,u)\;in\;{\Omega}$$ with Dirichlet boundary condition in a bounded domain ${\Omega}{\subset}\mathbb{R}^N$, $N{\geq}3$, where $h(x){\in}L^1_{loc}({\Omega})$, $f(x,s)$ has asymptotically linear behavior. The solutions will be obtained in a subspace of the space $H^1_0({\Omega})$ and the proofs rely essentially on a variation of the mountain pass theorem in [12].

Aims: Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) is considered as a safe and effective procedure in well - selected patients and appropriate surgical technique. Our aim is to evaluate suitability of using protocol for LPD in treatment of periampullary cancer at a single team. Methods: case series Results: Indication for LPD included 37 cases with resectable tumors which were classified basing on NCCN. All witness evaluation risk of complications with PREPARE score, ASA and evaluation risk of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) with FRS classification. There were 2 open conversions because of vein resections, accounting for 5.4%. Standard lymphadenectomy was performed in all of 37 cases. In term of PREPARE score, major complications (Clavien - Dindo >= III) were 17.8%, 0% and 0% (5/28, 0/5 and 0/2 cases) in low risk, intermediate risk and high risk group, respectively. All of cases had ASA I or II. POPF happened 11.1% (1/9), 4.1% (1/24) and 50% (1/2) in low risk, intermediate risk and high risk group, respectively. Frozen section was needed for R0 margin. Retrieved lymph nodes was 8 - 18 with 12 lymph nodes in average. Conclusions: Indication for LPD with resectable tumors is acceptable. ASA I or II is a safe measure to select patient for LPD. FRS classification shows appropriation to evaluate risk of POPF.

Au=Fe₂O₃(Au : Fe = 1 : 50) catalyst was prepared by the co-precipitation method. The co- precipitate was studied by using dierential thermal analysis (DTA) and dierential thermal gravi- metric analysis (DTGA). The structure of the sample was investigated by using X-ray diraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-resolution transmission electron mi- croscopy (HRTEM). The particle size was determined to be within the range of 1.5 and 8 nm. Results of the study for catalytic properties showed that T1=2 for CO and H2 oxidation were 317 and 405 K respectively. Smarthome is one of the remarkable fields of the industrial revolution 4.0, which are popular in many countries such USA, EURO, Japan and Korea. However, how Vietnamese people are considering and having intension to use smarthome devices is still a question for marketers and researchers. This study develops a comprehensive research model that can explain potential customers' behavioral intentions to adopt and use Smarthome services in Viet Nam and figure which key factors affect the intention. This study proposes and validates a new theoretical model that extends the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2). The model consists of eight factors that affect one element (Behavioral Intention), specifically: Habits, Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Trust, Innovativeness Personal, Perceived value, Hedonic motivations and Social influences. Data were collected from 304 Vietnamese citizens by sending the email to survey questionnaire, direct contact with the experienced smarthome users. Through regression analysis, data from samples were analysed with SPSS 20 software and verification of hypotheses, the results show the key determinants affecting the intention to use smarthome appliances in Vietnam: Perceived Value, Social Influence, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use and Trust. From this result, several recommendations have been suggested to to smarthome devices vendors and marketer to improve products as well as marketing approaches to meet customer needs.
Lipoxygenase Inhibitory Constituents from Rhubarb

Phytochemical study on the ethanol extract of rhubarb led to the isolation of fifteen compounds, including five anthraquinones: chrysophanol (1), physcion (2), emodin (7), chrysophanol- 8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (9) and emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (15), and ten stilbenes: desoxyrhaponticin (3), rhaponticin (4), resveratrol (5), desoxyrhapotigenin (6), rhapontigenin (8), piceatannol-3'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (10), piceid (11), ε -viniferin (12), ampelopsin B (13) and isorhaponticin (14). Their structures were identified by comparing the physicochemical data with those of published papers. Among the isolated compounds, stilbene derivatives (3-6, 8 and 10-14) showed remarkable inhibitory effect on lipoxygenase with IC50 values ranging from 6.7 to 74.1 μM. The inhibition kinetics analyzed by Lineweaver-Burk plots found that they were competitive inhibitors with the linoleic acid at the active site of lipoxygenase. In addition, stilbenes exhibited significantly free radical scavenging activity against ABTS•+ with trolox equivalent activity capacity (TEAC) values ranging from 1.16 to 4.64. Whereas, anthraquinone derivatives (1-2, 7, 9 and 15) neither inhibited lipoxygenase nor scavenged free radical ABTS•+. These results indicated that stilbene derivatives were considerate to be mainly lipoxygenase inhibitor and free radical scavenger constituents of rhubarb.
