60년대 말 70년대 중기 법정(法頂)의 사회민주화 운동 연구(硏究) - 『영혼의 모음』에 나타난 원고를 중심으로 -

일반적으로 법정스님(1932~2010)을 평가할 때는 『무소유』의 가르침을 실천한 수필가로 인식한다. 하지만 법정스님의 초기 저작의 상당한 부분에서 사회민주화에 대한 글들이 보이고 이와 관련된 활동도 상당히 한 것으로 파악된다. 출가 후 1959년 해인사에서 정식 스님이 되는 비구계를 받을 때까지 경전과 참선수행에 매진했던 법정스님은 1958년 민주화 인사인 황산덕 서울대 법대교수를 만난다. 그로부터 당시 진보 사상지였던 ≪사상계≫지(誌)를 꾸준히 받아보며 세상을 바라보는 눈을 키운다. 또한 1960년부터는 통도사에서 운허스님이 주도했던 『불교사전』 편찬사업에 참여하면서 신문과 뉴스를 접하기도 한다. 해인사와 서울을 오갈 때는 서울 선학원 앞에서 스님이 5.16 군사쿠데타로 피를 흘리는 모습을 보며 사회민주화에 대한 발원을 하기도 한다. 이러한 과정을 통해 법정스님은 사회민주화에 대한 다양한 생각을 표현했다. 서울생활에서는 봉은사 다래헌에 주석하면서 불교신문의 전신인 ≪대한불교≫의 주필 겸 편집국장과 논설위원을 역임하며 다양한 글을 썼고 ≪씨알의 소리≫편집위원으로 활동하며 함석헌 목사와 ≪사상계≫ 사장이었던 장준하 선생과도 교류를 하며 사회민주화에 투신하기도 했다. 본 논문은 이러한 내용에 중점을 두고 법정스님의 최초의 수필집인 『영혼의 모음』에 보이는 법정스님의 사회민주화에 대한 글들을 분석해 보고자 한다. The purpose of this paper is to examine the Social Democratization Movement of Ven. Beop - jeong from the late 1960s to the mid - 1970s, focusing on the manuscripts of Original Sound of Souls. Generally, Ven. Beop - jeong(1932~2010) is recognized as an essayist who practiced the teachings of “Non-possession.” However, many of Beop - jeong's early writings reveal his ardent thought on the social democratization and his activities related to it. From renouncing the secular life until becoming a formal monk at Haeinsa Temple in 1957, Beop - jeong worked hard on the Buddhist Scriptures and Seon (禪: meditation). Actually, a turning point in his life is to meet Hwang San-deok, a law professor at Seoul National University and pro - democracy figure in 1958. Since then, he has steadily subscribed Sasanggye(≪사상계≫)”, which was a progressive magazine at that time, and it has developed critical views on the world. In addition, since 1960, he participated in the “Buddhist Dictionary” compilation project led by Ven. Unheo at Tongdosa Temple, and he was particularly interested in newspapers and news. He continued to work for the project, coming and going to Haeinsa Temple and Seoul. At that time, he happened to watch a monk bleeding while meddling in the May 16 Military-Coup in front of Seonhakwon in Seoul. After experiencing that scene of accident, he offered a prayer for social democratization of Korea. Through this process, Beop - jeong expressed his various ideas about social democratization. While staying at Daraeheon of Bongeunsa Temple in Seoul, he wrote diverse articles as an editor - in - chief and editorial writer of “Dae - Han Bulgyo”, which was the forerunner paper of “Buddhist Newspaper.” And he also worked for the journal of Ssialeui Sori(≪씨□의 소리≫), and kept good company with Pastor Ham Seok - hun and Jang Joon - ha. Jang Joon-ha was a president of the Sasanggye(≪사상계≫) and dedicated himself to the social democratization. Considering these points, I tried to analyze the writings of Ven. Beop - jeong’s social democratization, focusing on his first collection of essays, Original Sound of Souls.

G protein-coupled receptor 119 (GPR119) is expressed in the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract, and its activation promotes insulin secretion in the beta cells of the pancreatic islets as well as the secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) in intestinal L cells, consequently improving glucose-stimulated insulin secretion. Due to this dual mechanism of action, the development of small-molecule GPR119 agonists has received significant interest for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. We newly synthesized 1,2,4-triazolone derivatives of GPR119 agonists, which demonstrated excellent outcomes in a cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) assay. Among the synthesized derivatives, YH18968 showed cAMP=2.8 nM; in GLUTag cell, GLP-1secretion=2.3 fold; in the HIT-T15 cell, and insulin secretion=1.9 fold. Single oral administration of YH18968 improved glucose tolerance and combined treatment with a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitor augmented the glucose lowering effect as well as the plasma level of active GLP-1 in normal mice. Single oral administration of YH18968 improved glucose tolerance in a diet induced obese mice model. This effect was maintained after repeated dosing for 4 weeks. The results indicate that YH18968 combined with a DPP-4 inhibitor may be an effective therapeutic candidate for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
Decoupling Controller Design for H<sub>∞</sub> Performance Condition

The decoupling design for the one-degree-of-freedom controller system is treated within the H<sub>∽</sub> framework. In the present study, we demonstrate that the H<sub>∽</sub> performance problem in the decoupling design is reduced into interpolation problems on scalar functions. To guarantee the properness of decoupling controllers and the overall transfer matrix, the relative degree conditions on the interpolating scalar functions are derived. To find the interpolating functions with relative degree constraints, Nevanlinna-Pick algorithm with starting function constraint is utilized in the present study. An illustrative example is given to provide details regarding the solution.
Kalman Filter-based Fault Detection and Isolation of Direct Current Motor

In recent years, as engineering systems have increased in complexity, aspects of reliability and safety are attracting more and more attention. Improved methods for detecting and isolating faults in engineering systems are of great practical importance. Traditional approaches to these methods have involved the limit checking of variables or applications of redundant sensors. More advanced methods have used residual analysis of signals by means of a comparing of actual plant behavior with the characteristics of a mathematical model. However, fault detection can be problematic because an “"unknown uncertainty”" is difficult to express in terms of a mathematical model. If these uncertainties can be considered, errors in fault detection and isolation in physical systems can be reduced. Therefore, this paper assesses a system’"s state after eliminating uncertainty with the kalman filter, and uses the experiment results to analyze and evaluate the performance of fault detection and isolation for a direct current motor.
Sliding Mode Control Based on Pole-Placement Method for Position Control of Linear Stage

The sliding mode control method is one of the robust control techniques and a particular type of variable structure control. Sliding mode control can change the system performance on the switching surface. In this paper, a sliding surface design method using the pole-placement method for the sliding mode control and then experimentally analyzes the advantage to this method when used in a linear position system. Also, this control input with chattering behavior is not acceptable for systems intended to control electric motors and power converters. One possible solution in this paper is to make use of the sigmoid-like function instead of signum function.
