        Reports on the Analysis of Documento and Materials for Library, Information Science Education It has become to he more recognized and more that the future development of lilerary and information science in Korea requests and reflects overall understanding of the intermational trends in the field and on the needs to survey library and information science education in todya's Korea. The authors of this paper have endeauoured to identify new trends in the library and information science field in U.S.A. and cether Nations. The outhors collectd and analysed documents and materials fout education for library and information science, including curriculam of Japan, U.S.A., and Korea. In addition to that, proposals prepared by major international organizations such as OECD, FID, and UNESCO, and by the American Society for Information Science were also consulted. Results of our analysis reveal the following conspicuous trends; (1) Overall curriculam in the United States ore in a transitional period from traditional library science to newly developed library and information science or information studies courses. Schools named library science are still offering traditional courses including mainly hasic and administrative courses, while schools named "library and information science or "information studies" offer principally technicol pracessing courses in library aperation. Some schools, it would apper, tend to be concentrated on the humanistic rather than technalogical aspects of information transfer. (2) Library and information science education in Japan to at a very low level on the awerage, due to the fact that most of the courses are given in two-year colleges. Moreover, no basic guideline exists for educational programs in such colleges. (3) The authors of this paper are convinced that the proposal offered by UNESCO is more applicable to Japan then those offered by other international organizaitons. Further study will be conducted by the authors of this paper.

      • 4-(2-Pyridylazo)-resorcinol에 의한 Gallium 및 Indium의 흡광 광도정량

        Several condition for the spectrophotometric determination of gallium and indium with 4-(2-Pyridylazo)-resorcinol [PAR] have been studied. The color solution of gallium-PAR, indium-PAR shows a maximum absorption at 504nm, 510nm, and follow Beer's law over a range of a to 15㎍/25ml, 2 to 30㎍/25ml of gallium and indium The molar extinction coeffecient at 504nm, 510nm are estimated to be 102,000, 86, 400. The absorbancy of the solution is kept constant for 20hrs and is not affected by temperature between 13~35℃. Since iron(Ⅲ), cobalt, copper, bismuth, zinc. cadmium, aluminium interfere more or less, the seperation of gallium and indium from some of the above ions by means of ether extraction has been studied. the constitution of the complex examined by continuous variation method is that the molar ratio of gallium:PAR, indium-PAR are 1:2.

      • 임플란트 식립 방향에 따른 상부구조물의 정확도 차이에 관한 비교연구

        The gap discrepancies between cast implant superstructure supported by two fixtures aligned without puntic and fixture replica were measured utilizing stereomicroscope with the assumptions that the direction of two fixtures was parallel or in convergent relation(20˚). The results were as follews : 1.The gap discrepancies measured between the replica and implant superstructure cast with plastic burn-out cylinder using non-precious alloy were 6.04±1.07㎛. 2.The gap discrepancies of non-parallel replica were 119.24±15.73㎛(Mean±SD) and that of parallel replica were 87.02±17.54㎛(Mean±SD), which show statistically significant difference (P〈0.001).

      • 간접 혈구응집반응(IHA)을 이용한 간흡충증의 혈청학적 진단에 관한 연구

        Detection of infections with Clonorchis sinensis has been accomplished through various serodiagnostic procedure including complement fixation test, gel diffusion test, indirect fluorescent antibody test and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay etc. In 1960, Pacheco, et al. reported that indirect hemagglutination test showed relatively more sensitive reaction than CFT in experimentally infected animal and 3 human cases. However, more detailed studies on the use of IHA in serodiagnosis of clonorchiasis were not accomplished. Evaluation of an indirect hemagglutination test was made in 100 egg positive cases in comparison with 51 parasite infected cases other than C. sinensis and 58 parasite free control. Kagan's modification of Boyden technique was employed using ether treated borate buffer extract adult worm antigen with 0.5㎎/ml concentration by Chaffee's method. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Ether treated borate buffer extract adult worm antigen was more sensitive than that of veronal buffered salt extract. 2. Sensitivity of IHA test was 84.0%) among 100 Clonorchs egg positive cases when cut-off titer of 1:16 was applied. Only 1 control sera out of 58 cases(98.3%) specificity) showed positive reaction. 3. Sensitivity was only 80.0% in light infection, 87.1% in moderate infection. However, only 1 case showed false negative reaction among 14 cases in heavy and very heavy infection category. 4. ELISA was more sensitive than IHA test, showing 90.0% sensitivity and 98.3% specificity. 5. Only 2 cases infected with Paragonimus westermani showed positive cross reaction in either IHA test or ELISA. 6. A positive correlation was found between results of ELISA and IHA test of patients with clonorchiasis. And the results obtained in both techniques were same in 86% of positive sera and 100% of negative sera. In conclusion, it is suggested that in addition to ELISA, IHA is a relatively sensitive and reliable test for the sere-diagnosis and sero-epidemiological survey of C. sinensis infection.

        The sense of value is always fluid and variable with a people as well as with an individual. The Korean people's sense of value is conspicuously different from that of the European peoples. One of the major reasons is that through their history the Korean people have had to live in insecurity and fear, and have found very poor opportunity of freely developing their own selves. The Koreans have little respect for the dignity of man. Their thinking is illogical. They have failed to learn to observe closely, analyse accurately, and determine precisely the cause of things happening under their eyes. On the other hand, they have made much of human relations, but not on an equal footing with each other in its strict sense, but from the vertical viewpoint of social strata. And their concern about respectability and their inclination toward an emotional way of thinking are also to be noticed. But what influences are brought to bear upon the sense of value? In the final analysis they are the social institutions, especially, the political system, as well as one's social experience in his formative period. So far as the Korean people are concerned, a proper sense of value is to be expected only when the insecurity and fear they feel in society are eliminated once and for all and each family sees to it that its children from a wholesome character. In this article, the writer also has briefly described the various ways of naming which actually prevailed among the people of the dynasty. They must be distinguished from those employed for characters of novels. The typical one of “Yang-ban” (the two classes of nobility), which was based on the principles of “O-haeng” (five elements) and “Chun-gan” (ten celestial stems), and that which is partially dealt with in the study of folklore, are also presented.

        한랭노출과 고혈압의 연관성

        Objectives : This study was carried out to suggest preventive methods for hypertension in cold-exposed workers. Methods : In 11 refs·iteration industries, 68 workers working in refrigerated areas more than one time per day were selected as the exposed group, and 68 workers not exposed to cold were selected as the control group. We interviewed the subjects with a questionnaire covering occupational history, and conducted clinical and laboratory tests including measurements of blood pressure and core temperature. Results : The systolic blood pressure in the exposed group(130.0±13.3 mmHg) was significantly higher than that recorded In the control group(118.3±12.1 mmHg), as was the diastolic blood pressure in the exposed group(82.7±8.5 mmHg) versus the control group(77.4±8.7 mmHg). The core temperature in the exposed group(36.1±0.7℃) was significantly lower than that experienced in the control group (36.4±0.5℃). In logistic regression analysis, age, cold exposure severity and milk intake were significant variables, with odds ratios of 5.204(95 % CI 1.440∼18.812), 2.674(95 % CI 1.080∼6.618), and 0.364(95 % Cl 0.141∼0.942) , respectively. Conclusions : Our study suggests that cold-exposed workers have higher a higher risk of hypertension, and that their core temperature is lower. Risk factors affecting hyper-tension of cold-exposed workers include age, cold exposure severity and milk intake. For the prevention of hypertension, cold-exposed workers should minimize cold-exposure time as much as possible.

        플라스틱 V-벨트 풀리 설계 및 시작품 제작에 관한 연구

        In this study, product design and prototype manufacturing of a plastic water-pump pulley has been tried. The designed model is supposed to be made of 33% glass reinforced resin of which the tensile strength is 180 MPa, and has 24 ribs on each side to increase its structural strength. Structural analysis under a static load of 300kgf acting on both edges of the belt has been carried out using a commercial finite element code, MARC. The analysis result showed the maximum effective stress near a rib of designed model would be at must 35MPa (less than 20% of the tensile strength), therefore, the plastic product would be sufficiently safe under that loading condition. On the basis of the structural analysis, a prototype of the designed model has been manufactured by using the fused deposition modelling (FDM) method which is one of the rapid prototyping (RP) methods, using ABS resin and support materials. The CAD data exported to the RP system in STL format was prepared by a commercial solid modeling soft ware, SolidWorks. It has been proved that the plastic pulley can successfully replace the existing flow-farmed steel product.

        운전자 자세에 따른 팔꿈치 동작의 불편도 평가

        The human arm is modeled by three rigid bodies(the upper arm, the forearm and the hand)with seven degree of freedom(three in the shoulder, two in the elbow and two in the wrist). The objective of this work is to present a method to determine the three-dimensional kinematics of the human elbow joint using a magnetic tracking device. Euler angle were used to determine the elbow flexion-extension, and the pronation-supination. The elbow motion for the various driving conditions is measured through the driving test using a simulator. Discomfort levels of elbow joint motions were obtained as discomfort functions, which were based on subjects' perceived discomfort level estimated by magnitude estimation. The results showed that the discomfort posture of elbow joint motions occurred in the driving motion.

      • 대식세포주 RAW264.7에서 Nitric oxide에 의해 과발현되는 CD53의 기능분석

        The CD53 antigen is a member of the tetraspanin membrane protein family that is expressed in the lymphoid-myeloid lineage. It is highly expressed in Radio-resistant tumor cells. Recently, it was reported that CD53 associates with the GSH-metabolizing protein γ-glutamyl transpeptidase. Its biological roles however remains unknown. Macrophages activated by microbial lipopolysaccharides (LPS) produce a burst of nitric oxide and reactive oxygen species. Nitric oxide plays important roles in macrophage activation as a toxic agent towards infectious organisms, an inducer or suppressor of apoptosis or an immunoregulator, whether nitric oxide can induce or inhibit apoptosis is highly dependent on different cell types at different stages of the inflammatory process. Using cDNA microarrays, we identified CD53 as one of the principal genes up-regulated by exposure of macrophages to LPS. We found that mRNA and protein levels of CD53 were increased by nitric oxide as well as LPS treatment in macrophages. Cells stably transfected with sense CD53 cDNA had lower levels of peroxide, and were more resistant to γ-irradiation. The stably transfected RAW264.7 cells with antisense CD53 recombination had the opposite properties. Activation of CD53 by cross-linking with monoclonal anti-CD53 antibody (OX-79) showed the expression of the inducible nitric oxide synthase. We propose that the induction of CD53 is one of major self-protection mechanisms of macrophages against LPS induced-oxidative stress and irradiation.

      • 입상미생물을 이용한 고농도 유기성폐수의 혐기성처리

        This research aims to find granulation and organic removal of the piggery wastewater with the upflow blanket filter (UBF) reactor. UASB process had the effect of high pH on the granulation phase. But teh effect was decreased after the granule formtion. The filter zone of the UBF reactor had the function of GSS and contributed to removing the organic because of its biofilm formtion. The removal rates of total COD and soluble COD were 70% ~ 80% and 60 ~80% at an influent organic loading range of 2 ~ 17.4 kgCOD/m?.d, respectively. The methane production rate with the organic removal was 0.21 ~ 0.34 ℓCH?/gCOD ? and the maximum methan production rate was 0.34 CH?ℓ/gCOD ? at the volumetric loading 5 kgCOD/m?.d.
