CO sensors were fabricated with SnO_(2) thick-films using MnO_(2) or V_(2)O_(5) catalysts. The SnO_(2) thick-films doped with MnO_(2) or V_(2)O_(5) showed better selectivities to CH_(4), NO_(x) than the pure SnO_(2) film material in air at operating temperature of 450°C, 500°C respectively. In addition, MS2-2[(3wt%)MnO_(2)+SnO_(2)] showed better selectivity than SVS[(3wt%)V_(2)O_(5)+Pd+SnO_(2)]. MS2-3[(6wt%)MnO_(2)+SnO_(2)] showed the highest selectivity for 420ppm-NO_(x), 3500ppm-CH_(4) at 450°C

Frog atrial muscle preparations were used to investigate effects of acid-base disturbances on the resting membrane potential and action potential on a cellular basis. To record the action potential of atrial muscle cells, 3M KCL-filled glass microelectrodes were directly introduced into the muscle cells in acidic(pH 6.0) and alkali(pH 8.0) conditions which were induced by addition of HCl and NaOH respectively into media. The following results were obtained : 1. In acidic condition, the resting membrane potential hyperpolarized from -(80±4.1)mV(P<0.05) and the overshoot potential was decreased significantly from 26±2.4mV of the control to 18±1.7mV(p<0.001). The time needed to repolarize 90% of the action potential duration, (repol 90%) shortened from 460~560 msec of the control to 400~520 msec in acidic intervention. 2. Little effect on resting membrane potential and action potential amplitude was observed in the alkali condition but Repol 90% shortened from 420~520 msec of the control 380~460 msec. (p<0.001) above results may be interpreted as that hydrogen ion affects the surface charge density at atrial muscle cells in such a way to inhibit ionic currents, especially slow inward and delayed outward currents.

This paper analyzes dynamic and static characteristics of HVDC inverter system, which is essential for the controller and filter design. Dynamic characteristic is analyzed with EMTP simulation and static characteristic is obtained by solving load flow equation. New simple per equivalent circuit is proposed. In equivalent circuit. HVDC inverter is considered as current source depending on the on-off status of switch. Dynamic characteristic can be analyzed by the proposed equivalent circuit. Depending on its application, suitable method can be chosen for the design of filter and controller.

Traffic is very important function in metropolitan areas. Traffic problems in metropolitan areas are such social problems as traffic congeston, parking and tarffic accidents. Among them, the traffic accident is the only one that is related with hyman life. This study employs the principal component analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis to estimate the characteristics and influential factors of traffic accident in the view-point of hyman, and to defining the typical patterns of happening lots of traffic accidents.

This study was carried out to investigate the changes of thermal properties such as warmth retaining and contact warm/cool feeling of a core knitted fabric by repeated washing. Three kinds of knitted fabric such as core, polyester/cotton(P/C), and cotton were repeatedly washed, and then used as specimen. Thermo Labo Ⅱ type was employed to measure the thermal properties of warmth retaining and contact warm/cool feeling. And also, the experimental results were analysed statistically to related the thermal properties and structural properties such as thickness, weight, bulk density, porosity, cover factor, and air permeability. The results are as follows. 1. The warmth retaining and the contact warm/cool feeling were remarkably changed at early washing, and after further washing no changes occured. The change rate of the materials to repeated washing was in the order of cotton>P/C>core knitted fabrics. 2. In case the knitted fabric of the same thickness and of the same weight have been considered, the warmth retaining was in the order of P/C>core cotton knitted fabrics. And also, the contact warm/cool feeling was in reverse order of the warmth retaining. 3. The warmth retaining showed positive correlation with thickness, weight, porosity, and cover factor and negative correlation with bulk density, and air permeability. And also, the contact warm/cool feeling showed an opposite trend to the warmth retaining 4. The warmth retaining and the contact warm/cool feeling were expected by measuring the structural properties such as thickness, weight, bulk density, porosity, cover factor, and air permeability according to the obtained regression equation.

Multimedia synchronization is requested to support a transparent multimedia service in ATM network. There are two different multimedia synchronization : intra-media and inter-media synchronization. The intra-media synchronization is to preserve the time relationship of a continuous media stream. The inter-media synchronization is to maintain the timing relation among the multimedia data streams during their transmission and display. This paper proposes Multimedia Multi-Channels Scheme(MMCS) for multimedia synchronization, and Media Delay Relief Scheme(MORS) to decrease the discard rate of the delayed packet arrived at the receiver after the target delay time using packet shortening function. By assigning each media to different channel, MMCS makes the best use of the characteristics of each media. In addition, the problems of the bandwidth assignment to a multimedia call and the multimedia traffic control in ATM network become simple. The numerical results show that the proposed schemes improve the performance of multimedia service.

아세톤수용액에서 한개의 산소가 다리로된 이핵몰리브덴(V)착물인 〔Mo_2O_3(bipy)_2(NCS)_4〕는 이옥소다리이핵몰리브덴(V)착물인 〔Mo_2O_4(bipy)_2(NCS)_2〕를 생성한다. 〔Mo_2O_3(bipy)_2(NCS)_4〕에서 〔Mo_2O_4(bipy)_2(NCS)_2〕로 바꾸어 지는 속도는 분광광도법으로 측정하였다. 용매 물과 이옥소다리이핵몰리브덴(V)착물의 생성속도는 속도법칙, 속도=k〔Mo_2O_3(bipy)_2(NCS)_4〕〔H_2O〕에 따른다. 이옥소다리착물의 생성반응메카니즘에 대해서 논의된다. 관찰된 음의 활성화부피는 착물이용매분자를 전이상태에서 강하게 당길 것으로 보인다. Monoxo-bridged binuclear molybdenum(V) complex, 〔Mo_2O_3(bipy)_2(NCS)_4〕 in aqueous acetone mixture produces the corresponding dioxo-bridged binuclear molybdenum(V) complex, 〔Mo_2O_4(bipy)_2(NCS)_2〕. The rate of conversion of 〔Mo_2O_3(bipy)_2(NCS)_4〕to 〔Mo_2O_4(bipy)_2(NCS)_2〕 has been measured by spectrophotometric method. The rate of formation of dioxobridged binuclear molybdenum(V) complexes with solvent water follows the rate law, rate=k〔Mo_2O_3(bipy)_2(NCS)_4〕〔H_2O〕. The reaction mechanism for the formation of dioxo-bridged complex is discussed. The observed negative volume of activation shows that the complex is strongly attracted to the solvent molecules at transition state.
