      • 성악 전공 학생의 가칭 시 음성의 SPR(Singing Power Ratio)에 관한 연구

        This study attempted to provide a spectrum analysis for quantitative evaluation of singing voice quality of singing students rather than the presence or absence of the singer's formant. The regression analysis was used to analyse the relationship between ringing quality, SPR, and SPP of singing voice of college student subjects majoring in music. This study measured singing power ratio (SPR) in 41 singing students. Digital audio recordings were made in sung vowels for acoustic analyses. Each sample was judged by 1 experienced singing teacher and 4 voice pathologists on one semantic bipolar 7-point scales (ringing-dull). The results showed that the SPR and SPP had significant correlations with ringing Quality. The SPR had a significant relationship with ringing quality on singing voice in singing students. The SPR can be an important quantitative measurement for evaluating singing voice quality.

        실용음악 전공 학생들의 발성치료 전후 성대 및 음성 특성 비교

        Background and Objectives : Many students major in applied music singing have various difficulties in phonation when they sing or perform. But the studies about this cause are lack. The purpose of this study is whether singing voice therapy based on vocal music is effective or not to applied music singing students that have difficulties in phonation. Materials and Methods : Singing voice therapy program had been done to 8 students major in applied music singing during 7 weeks. We did laryngeal stroboscope, perceptual, acoustic and aerodynamic examination before and after singing voice therapy to this students. And we studied post examination results have differences or improvements compared to pre examination results. Results : Four male students don't have effective improvement after singing voice therapy but they shows slight improvement in aerodynamic examination values compared to pre examination values. Four female students shows improvement in aerodynamic examination values and pitch range increasing. Above all, one student's vocal nodules disappeared after singing voice therapy. Conclusion : Singing voice therapy based on music singing is very effective to the students major in applied music singing. Above all, their curriculum in applied music singing should include phonation training based on music singing before training perform and technic practices.

        셀레콕시브 및 그 합성유도체들의 항암활성 스크리닝

        Selective COX (cyclooxygenase)-2 inhibitors including celecoxib have been shown to induce apoptosis and cell cycle changes in various tumor cells. New inhibitors are recently being developed as chemomodulating agents. We evaluated celecoxib and screened 150 synthetic compounds for anti-proliferative activities in vitro. Effects of celecoxib on COX activity, cell growth, cell cycle distribution, and apoptosis induction were determined in A549 COX-2 overexpressing human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. The COX inhibition of celecoxib increased with concentration up to 82% at 1μM after 24 hr exposure. Forty μM and 50μM of celecoxib induce G_1 arrest, and TUNEL-positive apoptotic cells, respectively. Among 150 compounds, several compounds were selected for having greater COX-2 inhibitory activity and higher selectivity than celecoxib with growth inhibitory activity. Celecoxib showed concentration-dependent COX inhibitory activity, and ability to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human NSCLC cells in vitro. Among synthetic analogues screened, several compounds showed promising in vitro activity as COX-2 inhibitory anticancer agents, which warrant further evaluation in vitro and in vivo.

      • Wordsworth의 "Peter Bell" : A Psychological Interpretation 심리적 분석

        This essay deals with a psychological interpretation of Wordsworth's poem, "Peter Bell". Wordsworth is a poet who presents us various ways of approachment to his poems, not simply because he was a prolific writer but because he was such a writer who dwelt upon so many subjects through his long creative life. Critics consider hima as a nature poet as well as a philosophical and religious poet. But he is most of all a psychological poet whose obsession lied in understanding of the depths of his own interior world. He was a poer who took his creative process as an expression of his own psychic life. Thus, the understanding of the workings of his mind can be a closest way to understand his poems. Wordsworth believed that the achievement of harmony between two presumably antithetic elements within his psychic world is a necessity prior to the creativity: Borrowing from jungian term, it is the harmony between Anima and Animus, each symbolizing a femine and masculine element in the individual psyche. The theme of "Peter Bell" is, thus, understood as a process of rediscovering of Anima which has been overridden by Animus in the poet's psychic life, and eventually finding of his true "self". In "Peter Bell", Wordsworth expresses his own psychological growith through the growth of Peter Bell, the poetic persona of the poem and at the same time the poet himself. By rendering a poetic space which incluedes the mental space of the poet and the actual space which provides a locale for the movement of narrator and the objects in the poem, Wordsworth combines and treats two worlds; poet's own interior world and the poetic world on the same level, not one symbolizing the other in an allegorical or metaphorical way. In this way, Wordsworth transfroms his psychological movement into a concrete form of poem. In other words, he brings out his unconscious world, to a conscious level, a poetic order. This shaping process of his poetic inspiration to a form of poem is at the same time the process of the poet's innate growht to be a matured poet and Peter's growth to be a hood human being. This double movement is hightened at the moment of Peter's killing the Ass that symbolizes Wordsworth's killing of his own "ego" and rediscovering his Anima embraced "self", which is a creative self. This search for his own creative self which has existed in the depth of his own interior world is the form and the meanign of "Peter Bell".

      • 정상 성인에서의 Theophylline의 약동학 및 대사에 관한 연구

        Theophylline kinetics and metabolism following single intravenous infusion of theophylline dose (6mg/kg) were examined in 8 young non-smoking adults. Study design stressed stringent control of several external factors known to influence theophylline metabolism. The concentrations of theophylline were analyzed over a 24-hr period in plasma. Theophylline and its major metabolites were measured over a 96-h period in urine after the given dose. A 2-compartment model was required to describe the theophylline plasma concentration time course in all 8 subjects. The results are as follows. 1. Theophylline is quickly transferred from plasma to tissue with high rates of intercompartmental clearance (mean ±S.D; 1.04 ± 0.53 L/min). Steady-state volume of distribution of theophylline showed little intersubject variability with average of 0.42 ± 0.02 L/kg. 2. The elimination half-life of theophylline varied greatly among subjects and ranged from 4.56 to 11. 11 hours, Similarly, the non-renal clearance also showed wide intersubject variation (coeffient of variation; 35%). 3. The unbound fraction of theophylline was 62.6 ± 4.1% at the plasma concentration around 10 ㎍/ml. 4. About 82% of theophylline administered was recovered until 96-hr after dose as unchanged form or major metabolites. A 17.55% of theophylline was excreted in urine as unchanged form. Molar fraction of theophylline metabolites 1.3-dimethyl uric acid, 3-methylxanthine and 1-methyl uric acid excreted in urine were 35.14%, 11.62% and 17.64%, respectively. From the above results, It is suggested that great variation of theophylline elimination half-life seems to be mainly due to wide intersubject variation of non-renal clearance of theophylline. Importance of including an assessment of plasma protein binding in studies of theophylline disposition would be emphasized, because theophylline metabolism showed a restrictive pattern. Incomplete recovery of theophylline from the administered dose imply the possbility of exsistence of additional minor pathways in theophylline disposition, which could not be identified in the study.

      • Adriamycin 투여가 흰쥐 상아질 형성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        In order to study the toxic effect of adriamycin on the formation of dentin of the rat, adriamycin(5㎎/㎏ body weight) was injected intravenously, and animals were sacrificed at 1, 3, and 10 days after administration. In the light micrographic observation, aggregation of densely stained cells were observed along the wall of the pulp canal and the odontoblastic layer disappeared after 1 and 3 days. The predentin was not even thickness and irregular in boundary compared to normal predentin. The formation of osteodentin, which has cellular inclusions in the matrix, was noted after 10 days. Electron microscopic observation revealed that the cells in aggregation had long slender cytoplasmic processes and contained more profiles of endoplasmic reticulum and secretory granules. The odontoblasts showed degenerative changes such as cytoplasmic vacuolation and fragmentation of rEr. The cells in the osteodentin and on the surface of irregular osteodentin contained dilated cisternae of rEr and secretory granules. Some cells showed necrotic and degenerative changes. There were no odontoblastic processes and dentinal tubules in the osteodentin matrix, central region of which was densely packed with collagen fibers. It therefore appears that osteodentin formation was observed in the pulp of root canal after adriamycin administration and it is the result of an abnormal differentiation of pulp mesenchymal cells.

      • 신경병증성 통증 모델쥐 뒤뿌리신경절의 Nitric Oxide Synthase 아형 및 NADPH-diaphorase 발현에 관한 연구

        Injury to peripheral nerve somtimes lead to neuropathic pain. Nitric oxide(NO) is increased in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) of neuropathic pain models, and L-NAME, a nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, reduces neuropathic pain. However, it is not known that underlying mechanism of NO involvement in development and maintanence of neuropathic pain. It was found that there were three NOS isoforms-nNOS, eNOS, and iNOS. It is also necessary to investigate NOS isoforms in neuropathic pain. The aim of this study is to investigate NOS isoforms and NADPH-diaphorase expressions and underlying mechanism of NO involvement in neuropathic pain. The 5^th lambar (L5) DRG were obtaind after tight ligation of L5 an L6 spinal nerves for 7 days. Toluidine blue stain, immunohistochemistry for nNOS, eNOS, and iNOS, and NADPH-diaphorase histochemistry were performed. All specimens were observed under light microscope. nNOS expression was increased significantly in the cytoplasm of the DRG of ligated side at 7 day post-ligation (7D PL). eNOS expression was also increased in the blood vessel, a few neurons or satellite cells, and cell membrane of Schwann cells in the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. iNOS expression was increased in a few blood vessels and cytoplasm of small neurons in the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. NADPH-diaphorase expression was increased significantly in the neurons of the DRG of ligate side at 7D PL, but NADPH-diaphorase expressions were weak or absent in the blood vessel and Schwann cell in the contralateral DRG and the DRG of ligated side at 7D PL. It is suggested that NOS isoforms may be closely related to development and mantanence of neuropathic pain in order of nNOS>eNOS>iNOS.

      • 당귀 추출물이 생쥐 유래 대식세포의 일산화질소 생산에 미치는 영향

        1. 당귀 물추출물 단독으로는 NO생성을 유도하지 못하였다. 2. 당귀 물추출물은 LPS 단독 또는 LPS와 IFN-γ에 의해 유도되는 NO생성을 증가시키지는 못하였다. 3. IFN-γ와 당귀 물추출물을 같이 처리하였을 경우 농도 의존적으로 NO생성을 유도하였다. 4. IFN-γ와 당귀 물추출물로 유도된 NO생성은 NOS 억제제인 ??에 의해 억제되었다. 5. 복강 대식 세포에서도 동일하게 IFN-γ와 당귀 물추출물의 NO생성에 대한 상승효과가 나타났다. In this study, the objective was to determene the effect of Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract on the production of nitric oxide(NO). Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract had no effect on NO synthesis by itself. However the stimulation of mouse macrophage cell line(RAW264.7) with Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract after the treatment of murine interferon-γ(mIFN-γ) resulted in increased NO synthesis. When Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract was used in combination with mIFN-γ, there was a marked co-operative induction of NO synthesis in a dose-dependent manner. The same results were obtained in the mouse peritoneal macrophages used. The optimal concentration of Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract on NO synthesis was shown 100㎍/mL with 100U/mL of mIFN-γ. NO synthesis was inhibited by ??-monomethyl-L-arginine. Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract was endotoxin free. Theses results suggest that Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract can induces NO synthesis of mouse macrophage cell line (RAW264.7) and peritoneal macrophages in combination with mIFN-γ

      • 성전환자와 정상인이 발성한 모음의 음향분석과 지각실험

        This study compared F0 and the first three formants of eight Korean monophthongs produced by nine transgenters (male to female) to those of eighteen normal adults. Voice analysis was done by Praa (version 4.4049). A one-way ANOVA wih Turkey HSD post hoc tests were performed to determine statistical differences in F0 and forma values obtained from transgender, and normal male and female subjects. Results indicated that there was no significant difference in F1 of /u/, /Λ/, and /o/, F2 of /u/, /Λ/, and /i/ and F3 of /u/ among the 3 groups (transgender, normal males and normal females). However, in the comparison of transgender vs. males, a significant difference was observed in F0 of /o/, and F2 of /i/, /a/, /e/, and /ae/ an F3 of /e/. Furthermore in the comparison of transgender vs. females, a significant difference was also observed in F0 of all vowels, F1 of /i/, /a/, /e/, /ae/, and /i/, F2 of /i/, an /ae/, an F3 of /i/, /a/, /Λ/, /e/, /ae/, /i/, an /o/. Also, perceptual judgment of the transgender' voice came out somewhat correlated strongly with their F0 values but not much with the formant values. It was concluded that he transgender' acoustic parameters are plead in between those of the normal males and females in terms of fundamental and formant frequency analyses of vowels. Thus, it was assumed that those differences might stem from the transgender' original big resonating cavities.
