Effect of 2,4- D application on the fruit maturity and quality of 'Harcot' apricot and 'Mibaek' peach was examined. Leaf area of 'Harcot' apricot was not affected by 2,4-D while that of 'Mibaek' peach was increased by 35mg · L-1 2,4-D. Application of 2,4-D at 35mgㆍL-1 increased the fruit weight of both species, and that of 'Harcot' was doubled. Soluble solids content of 'Harcot' was decreased by 2,4-D while that of 'Mibaek' was not affected. Fruit maturity of 'Harcot' and 'Mibaek' was enhanced for respective 4 and 1 day by 2,4-D application. Percent fruit cracking of 'Harcot' apricot was decreased by 35mg · L-1 2,4-D.

In order to obtain the basic data for artificial maturity control of 'Mibaek' peach, GA and ethephon were foliar sprayed 4 weeks prior to harvest, and their effects on fruit maturity and quality were examined. GA and ethephon tended to decrease the fruit weight except 100mg ㆍ L-1 GA+50 to 100mg · L-1 ethephon treatment. GA increased the fruit firmness, and ethephon at higher concentration increased the fruit drop. Harvest date was advanced for 7 to 8 days by ethephon while was delayed for 6 to 8 days by GA treatment, regardless of concentration.
단무지 공장에서 발생한 질식 사고의 원인과 방사선학적 소견: 중례보고 및 가스분석 결과

목 적:단무지 공장에서 질식사고를 일으켰던 가스의 종류를 알아내고, 이러한 가스중독의 방서선학적 소견을 소개하기 위하여 본 연구를 하였다. 대상 및 방법:단무지 공장에서 발생한 질식 사고자 3예중 생존자 1예를 대상으로 단순흥부X-선검사와 CT 소견을 분석하였으며, 가스의 종류를 알아내기 위하여 단무지를 유리병에 넣어 발생된 가스를 가스크로마토그래픽을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결 과:단무지 공장에서 발생한 질식사고자중 생존한 1명의 방사선학적 검사에서 신속히 호전되는 폐경결(consolidation)을 볼 수 있었으며 이는 폐부종의 소견임을 알 수 있었다. 협기성 상태에서 단무지를 담은 유리병의 상층부 가스를 실험 분석한 결과 이산화탄소, 에칠알코올이 다량으로 검출되었으나 독성가스는 주로 황화수소이였다. 결 론:단무지 공장의 질식 사고자에서 폐방사선학적 소견은 폐경결을 보이는 폐부증으로서 이는 실험을 통해 단무지에서 발생되는 유독가스인 황화수소 때문임을 입증하였다. Purpose: To identify the main toxic gas released from salted radish in rice bran(Dan-M-Ji) and to introduce the radiological findings of the patient who was exposed to the gas. Materials and Methods: Chest radiographs and CT scans of one survivor among three men who were exposed to the gas from Dan-Mu-Ji were reviewed. Gas obtained from the closed bottle containing Dan-Mu-Ji was analized by using the gas chromatography. Results: The radiographlc examinations of the survivor were suggestive of pulmonary edema with it's rapidly improving consolidations in both lung. The headapace gas within the bottle containing Dan-Mu-Ji was mainly composed with carbon dioxide, ethyl alcohol and hydrogen sulfide, of which hydrogen sulfide was considered the main toxic gas released. Conclusion: Under the anaerobic condition, Dan-Mu-Ji released toxic hydrogen sulfide. Inhalation of hydrogen sulfide might produce non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
태권도 수련이 초등학생의 신체조성 및 체력수준에 미치는 영향

The aim of this study was to investigate body composition and physical performance in elementary students on tae kwon do training groups and non training groups. Subjects of this study consisted of a total 90 boys. Body Composition and physical performance parameters were estimated by Bio impedance analysis(In Body 3.0 model) and Takei.(Japan). Physical performance tests included Back Strength, Bent- Knee Sit-ups Test, Vertical jump, Side step, Standing trunk flexion, Closed-eyes foot balance. The Body Composition and physical performance results this study was summarized as the follows: 1) The body composition results showed that not significant difference were found between tae kwon do training groups and non training groups for Fat Mass(kg), Percent Body Fat(kg), Soft lean mass(kg), Intracellular Fluid and Extra cellular Fluid. 2) The physical performance results showed that not significant difference were found between tae kwon do training groups and non training groups for Back Strength, Bent- Knee Sit-ups Test, Vertical jump, Side step, Closed-eyes foot balance. However, standing Trunk Flexion results showed that significant difference were found between Tae Kwon Do training groups and non training groups. From the study, Tae Kwon Do is beneficial to the flexibility development of an individual in the children stage.

Looking into the number of students taking "Soo-neung" test or the results from the enquete for the purpose of organizing the option-based curriculum after the 7th curriculum began, we can see it becomes clearer that the number of students applying for humanity course has largely outnumbered the number of students applying for science course since the late 1990s. These phenomena must be big troubles for us looking forward to getting into the advanced country. So, there came the counterplans from government, college, and enterprise in the hope that the good students are willing to apply for science course. In order to find out why these phenomena of evasion from science course happens, this article deals with the attitude and anxiety of elementary, middle, and high school students about math. Consider the following: 1. How is the transition of elementary, middle, and high school students In the attitude about math? 2. How is the transition of elementary, middle, and high school students III math anxiety? 3. How are the attitudes about math related with math anxiety, and the researches about how to decrease math anxiety evolved? Analyzing enquete using attitude standard made by Aiken and Dreger(1963) and math anxiety standard (MAS) made by Fennema and Sherman(1976). we've found the conclusion is as follows: First, we should offer the positive learning experience to the students who have the negative attitude about math and try to help them lower the degree of the math anxiety. Secondly, there are plenty of room for making an effort in that the number of students who don't like math, as they grow older, increases, but the number of them is not that much. Thirdly, the math anxiety of the 2nd grade students in the middle school becomes more increased when compared in terms of a average of factors. But there was no meaningful difference over the schools. Finally, we have become aware that the math attitude is highly related with the math anxiety. And it is hoped that these studies of the attitude and anxiety about math would be well applied to the actual spots. schools.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of amalgam to dentin treated with the various bonding agents and to examine the failure mode after bond test. Four kinds of dental amalgam and six kinds of dentin bonding agents were used in this study. Copalite varnish was used for control group. The extracted human molars were mounted in a self-cured acrylic resin and the nonocclusal surface of the crown was exposed by grinding. A well-fitted wax mold was placed on the dentin surface and dentin adhesives were applied according to the manufacturer's instructions before condensing the amalgam. After condensation of the amalgam, specimens were stored at 37℃ and 100% relative humidity for 24 hours to complete hardening process. Specimens were aged in a deionized water at 37℃ for 24 hours, then tested in shear on a Instron universal testing machine at a cross-head speed of 0.2mm-min. From the experiment, the following results were obtained: 1. The bonding agents which included NTG-GMA, showed a low shear bond strength. It was observed that the fracture modes between bonding agents and amalgam were adhesive failure. 2. The bonding agents which included 4-META, showed a high shear bond strength. Some fracture modes between bonding agents and amalgam showed cohesive failure, although many fracture modes showed adhesive failure. 3. For the bonding agents which included a phosphate ester system, the shear bond strength showed large scattering depending on bonding agent. When specimens showed a high shear bond strength, the mixed (adhesive/cohesive) failure mode between bonding agents and amalgam were observed. 4. BDX produced a low shear bond strength. It was observed that the control group(CPL) was' not effective for amalgam bonding agent.

This study was conducted to investigate the haloacetic acid (HAAs) formation characteristics in raw and treated water in Korea. The raw and treated water from the five major rivers were examined to measure the HAAs concentrations and compared those with literature values. Major findings are as follows. First, average HAAs concentration of treated water (collected from three water treatment plants) in Korea appeared to be 62.5±66.7㎍/L (n=7) and this level is higher than the average trihalomethanes (THMs) concentration (13.2±12.9㎍/L, n=6933) reported recently. Second, the average formation potential of TCAA and DCAA after three days was found as 103±74㎍/L (n=14) and 76±36㎍/L (n=14), respectively. As this result was applied to US-EPA developed model equation for TCAA and DCAA formation, dissolved organic matter (DOM) in Korea has a tendency to produce more TCAA and DCAA as compared to US. This phenomenon was especially notable in DCAA. The sum of weight percentage of TCAA and DCAA which are individual component of HAAS was composed of 80% of HAAs.

The best advantages of UNIX are the portability and the compatibility between machines, because UNIX has opened its structure. As UNIX has been porting on different kinds of machines and developed by many makers so its compatibility faces up to the troubles. "Portability Guide" for UNIX standardization is suggested by POSIX(Portable Operation System Interface) and X/Open. Therefore it is necessary that UNIX Interface for Processing Hangul is standardized. This paper deals with Hangul interface design in UNIX environment. Main idea of the design consists of Hangul I/O module and user's environment acccording to the international standardization principles. In Hangul I/O module, Hangul module and the algorithm of Hangul terminal driver are suggested using STREAMS I/O subsystem. User's environment is divided into message, locale and Hangul I/O.

The amalgam alloys contained the Ag, Sn, and Cu. Alloys containing Ag and Cu suffer sulfide tarnish and chloride corrosion. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of Cl and S ions in artificial saliva on electrochemical corrosion dental amalgam and clarify the effect of sulfides on chlorides corrosion of dental amalgam. Eight types of dental amalgams were selected; four conventional dental amalgam alloys (BSA, CVX, HIA, and STF) and four high copper alloys (A21, LGA, LUX, and TYT). Fusayama's modified artificial saliva was used as standard electrolyte (concentrations of Cl and S ion were 12.22 mM/ℓ, 0.1mM/ℓ respectively). The concentration of Cl ions was modified to 1.22mM/ℓ, 12.22mM/ℓ, 24.44mM/ℓ, and 61.10mM/ℓ. As the Cl ions fixed at 12.22 mM/ℓ and 24.44mM/ℓ, the concentration of S ions in the artificial saliva was also modified to 0.1mM/ℓ, 0.5mM/ℓ, 1.0 mM/ℓ, and 5.0mM/ℓ. Specimens were tested by potentiostatic anodic polarization technique with scanning rate of 1 mV/sec. from -1200 mV to +800 mV at 37±2℃ From the experiment, the following results were obtained: 1. In the standard electrolyte, the corrosion resistance of the high-copper amalgams was higher than that of the conventional amalgams since the range of passivity for the high-copper amalgams was 200 mV wider than that of the conventional amalgams. 2. As the amount of chloride in the artificial saliva increased, the corrosion resistance of the conventional amalgams was decreased but the passivity of the high-copper amalgams was not changed. 3. When the concentraion of Cl was kept at 12.22 mM/ℓ, the increase of S had a little on the corrosion potential but caused increase of current density of the conventional amalgams. The corrosion resistance of the high-copper amalgams was decreased with similar trend to the conventional amalgams. 4. When the concentraion of Cl was kept at 61.10 mM/ℓ, the increase of S had a little on the corrosion behavior of the conventional amalgams. In case of high-copper amalgams, however, the corrosion resistance was decreased.
