Comprehensive Coordinated Control Strategy of Virtual Synchronous Generators under Unbalanced Power Grid

        Shuhuan Wang,Li Han,Kai Chen 전력전자학회 2019 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.19 No.6

When grid voltage is unbalanced, the grid-connected output current and power of Virtual Synchronous Generators (VSGs) are distorted and quadratic. In order to improve the power quality of a grid connected to a VSG when the grid voltage is unbalanced, a comprehensive coordinated control strategy is proposed. The strategy uses the positive sequence current reference command obtained by a VSG in the balanced current control mode to establish a unified negative sequence current reference command analytical expression for the three objectives of current balance, active power constant and reactive power constant. In addition, based on the relative value of each target's volatility, a comprehensive wave function expression is established. By deriving the comprehensive wave function, the corresponding negative sequence current reference value is obtained. Therefore, the VSG can achieve the minimum comprehensive fluctuation under the premise that the three targets meet the requirements of grid connection, and the output power quality is improved. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by simulation and experimental results.

The Dust Deposition Process and Biogeochemical Impacts in the Northern South China Sea

        Du Shuhuan,Ariful Islam G. M.,Xiang Rong,Yang Xiaoli 한국기상학회 2021 Asia-Pacific Journal of Atmospheric Sciences Vol.57 No.1

Modern dust plays essential roles in marine sediments, providing nutrient and crucial elements for primary productivity and aquatic ecosystems. However, present marine atmospheric dust observational evidence concerning the biogeochemical response to dust deposition process is spared for a long time. Here a total of 147 aerosols samples were collected near the northern South China Sea (SCS) coast between 13 February, 2016, and 12 February, 2017, have been investigated for the grain size distribution, depositional flux, ten-day back trajectories, clusters analysis, combining with primary productivity (Chlorophyll-a concentration) to indicate the present-day dust deposition process and biogeochemical impacts in the northern SCS on the first time. Our results illustrate the deposition flux and grain size distribution change in different season, grain size distribution in winter are coarser particles than that in the summer, while the maximum and minimum dry deposition flux are 12 December, 2016, (60.4 mg m−2 d−1) and 26 August, 2016, (5 mg m−2 d−1), respective. In addition, the back trajectories and three clusters analyze results indicating 53% of air masses originating locally near the coastal areas of China from the marine boundary layer (0–0.5 km) in the summer monsoon, while 48% dust from the northeast wind is prevailing during the winter monsoon over a relatively higher level (0–1.5 km). Furthermore, an apparent Chl-a blooming after aeolian dust input with a period of 1–2 days in the SCS. Therefore, atmospheric dust contains readily bioavailable iron and enhance the biogeochemical impact in the oligotrophic SCS.

Experimental Investigation on the Degradation of SiGe LNAs Under Different Bias Conditions Induced by 3MeV Proton Irradiation

        Zhuoqi Li,Shuhuan Liu,Xiaotang Ren,Mathew Adefusika Adekoya,Jun Zhang,Shuangying Liu 한국원자력학회 2022 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.54 No.2

The 3 MeV proton irradiation effects on SiGe low noise amplifier (LNA) (NXP BGU7005) performanceunder different voltage supply VCC (0 V, 2.5 V) conditions were firstly experimental studied in thispresent work. The S parameters including S11, S22, S21, 1 dB compression point and noise figure (NF) of thetest samples under different bias voltage supply were measured and compared before and after 3 MeVproton irradiation. The total proton irradiation fluence was 1 1015 protons/cm2. The maximumdegradation quantities of the gain S21 and NF of the test samples under zero bias are measuredrespectively 1.6 dB and 1.2 dB. Compared with the samples under 2.5 V bias supply, the maximumdegradation of S21 and NF are respectively 1.1 dB and 0.8 dB in the whole frequency band. It is noteworthy that the gain and NF of SiGe LNAs under zero-bias mode suffer enhanced degradation comparedwith those under normal bias supply. The key influence factors are discussed based on the correlation ofthe SiGe device and the LNA circuit. Different process of the ionization damage and displacement damageunder zero-bias and 2.5 V bias voltage supply contributed to the degradation difference. The underlyingphysical mechanisms are analyzed and investigated

Saliency Detection based on Global Color Distribution and Active Contour Analysis

Hu, Zhengping,Zhang, Zhenbin,Sun, Zhe,Zhao, Shuhuan Korean Society for Internet Information 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.12

In computer vision, salient object is important to extract the useful information of foreground. With active contour analysis acting as the core in this paper, we propose a bottom-up saliency detection algorithm combining with the Bayesian model and the global color distribution. Under the supports of active contour model, a more accurate foreground can be obtained as a foundation for the Bayesian model and the global color distribution. Furthermore, we establish a contour-based selection mechanism to optimize the global-color distribution, which is an effective revising approach for the Bayesian model as well. To obtain an excellent object contour, we firstly intensify the object region in the source gray-scale image by a seed-based method. The final saliency map can be detected after weighting the color distribution to the Bayesian saliency map, after both of the two components are available. The contribution of this paper is that, comparing the Harris-based convex hull algorithm, the active contour can extract a more accurate and non-convex foreground. Moreover, the global color distribution can solve the saliency-scattered drawback of Bayesian model, by the mutual complementation. According to the detected results, the final saliency maps generated with considering the global color distribution and active contour are much-improved.

Review : Purification and Characterization of a Novel Extracellular Thermostable Alkaline Protease from Streptomyces sp. M30

( Yan Xin ),( Zhibin Sun ),( Qiongzhen Chen ),( Jue Wang ),( Yicheng Wang ),( Linfeng Luogong ),( Shuhuan Li ),( Weiliang Dong ),( Zhongli Cui ),( Yan Huang ) 한국미생물 · 생명공학회 2015 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.25 No.11

A novel alkaline protease from Streptomyces sp. M30, SapHM, was purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, and DEAE-Sepharose chromatography, with a yield of 15.5% and a specific activity of 29,070 U/mg. Tryptic fragments of the purified SapHM were obtained by electrospray ionization quadrupole timeof- flight mass spectrometry. Nucleotide sequence analysis revealed that the gene sapHM contained 1,179 bp, corresponding to 392 amino acids with conserved Asp156, His187, and Ser339 residues of alkaline protease. The first 24 amino acid residues were predicted to be a signal peptide, and the molecular mass of the mature peptide was 37.1 kDa based on amino acid sequences and mass spectrometry. Pure SapHM was optimally active at 80°C in 50 mM glycine-NaOH buffer (pH 9.0), and was broadly stable at 0-50°C and pH 4.0-9.0. The protease relative activity was increased in the presence of Ni2+, Mn2+, and Cu2+ to 112%, 113%, and 147% of control, respectively. Pure SapHM was also activated by dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, Tween 80, and urea. The activity of the purified enzyme was completely inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride, indicating that it is a serine-type protease. The Km and Vmax values were estimated to be 35.7 mg/ml, and 5 × 104 U/mg for casein. Substrate specificity analysis showed that SapH was active on casein, bovine serum albumin, and bovine serum fibrin.
