      • A Hybrid approach for Camera-Model Detection

        In this paper, we propose a camera-model detection method based on a hybrid approach. Varying camera inside imaging processing will lead to varying artifacts. A few of artifacts can reflect camera model-specific. To comprehensive track camera model-specific footprint, we build a hybrid approach by combining two-step Markov feature based model and CFA feature based model. A 132-D feature set is designed to perform camera-model classification. Images from seven camera models in the Dresden Image Database are chosen as our experiment database. Experiment results show that in seven models detection, the average detection accuracy of our method is 99.83%. Even the feature dimension is decreased to 40 by feature selection; its detection accuracy can still reach to 99.58%, which is higher than that of previous Markov method [12].

      • Diet Folate, DNA Methylation and Polymorphisms in Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase in Association with the Susceptibility to Gastric Cancer

        Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) has been reported to be associated with DNA methylation, an epigenetic feature frequently found in gastric cancer. We conducted a case-control study to explore the association of MTHFR C677T polymorphisms with gastric cancer risk and its relation with the DNA methylation of COX-2, MGMT, and hMLH1 genes. Genotyping of P16, MGMT and HMLH1 was determined by methylation-specific PCR after sodium bisulfate modification of DNA, and genotyping of MTHFR C677T was conducted by TaqMan assays using the ABI Prism 7911HT Sequence Detection System. Folate intake was calculated with the aid of a questionnaire. Compared with the MTHFR 677CC genotype, the TT genotype was significantly associated with 2.08 fold risk of gastric cancer when adjusting for potential risk factors. Individuals who had an intake of folate above $310{\mu}g$/day showed protective effects against gastric cancer risk. The effect of MTHFR C677T polymorphisms on the risk of gastric cancer was modified by folate intake and methylation status of MGMT (P for interaction <0.05).

        근년도 출판된 <논어>에 대한 解讀本을 고찰한 결과 일부분의 해독본이 주관적 臆解의 경향을 보인다. 이러한 경향은 신성한 儒家經典을 잘못 해석할 뿐만 아니라 전통문화의 眞髓도 왜곡시켰다. 예를 들면 《論語我讀》에는 <논어>에서 많이 나타나는 "不"를 "丕", 즉 "甚大"라는 뜻으로 해석하였다. 이렇게 해서 《논어》에 쓰인 만은 否定의 語句를 肯定의 語句로 변해시켰다. 전통문화를 지키기 위해 본고에서 3권의 저서와 臆解 경향의 논문 여러 편을 근거로 들어 비판하고 고쳤다. It is argued in this paper that there exist some subjectively misunderstanding inclination when we investigate some interpretation books of the Analects. Some interpretation books explain the holy Confucian classics beyond all recognition, misrepresent the traditional essence of culture. Take an example of Lunyu Wo Du(≪論語我讀≫), it interprets the "Bu(不)" into "Pi(丕)", the meaning of "very big", which leads to transform all the negative sentences into affirmative sentences in the Analects. In order to preseve the traditional culture, the paper refute three books and some misunderstanding inclination papers subjectively in a well grounded way.

        Luteolin inhibits H2O2-induced cellular senescence via modulation of SIRT1 and p53

        Luteolin, a sort of flavonoid, has been reported to be involved in neu-roprotective function via suppression of neuroinflammation. In this study, we in-vestigated the protective effect of luteolin against oxidative stress-induced cellular senescence and its molecular mechanism using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced cellular senescence model in House Ear Institute-Organ of Corti 1 cells (HEI-OC1). Our results showed that luteolin attenuated senescent phenotypes including alterations of morphology, cell proliferation, senescence-associated β-galactosidase expression, DNA damage, as well as related molecules expression such as p53 and p21 in the oxidant challenged model. Interestingly, we found that luteolin induces expression of sirtuin 1 in dose- and time-dependent manners and it has protective role against H2O2-induced cellular senescence by upregulation of sirtuin 1 (SIRT1). In contrast, the inhibitory effect of luteolin on cellular senescence under oxidative stress was abolished by silencing of SIRT1. This study indicates that luteolin effectively protects against oxidative stress-induced cellular senescence through p53 and SIRT1. These results suggest that luteolin possesses therapeutic potentials against age-related hearing loss that are induced by oxidative stress.

        Upregulation of MicroRNA-34a Sensitizes Ovarian Cancer Cells to Resveratrol by Targeting Bcl-2

        Purpose: Resveratrol (REV), a natural compound found in red wine, exhibits antitumor activity in various cancers, includingovarian cancer (OC). However, its potential anti-tumor mechanisms in OC are not well characterized. Here, we tried to elucidatethe underlying mechanisms of REV in OC cells. Materials and Methods: The anti-proliferative effects of REV against OC cells were measured using CCK-8 assay. Apoptosis wasmeasured using an Annexin V-FITC/PI apoptosis detection kit. The anti-metastasis effects of REV were evaluated by invasion assayand wound healing assay. The miRNA profiles in REV-treated cells were determined by microarray assay. Results: Our results showed that REV treatment suppresses the proliferation, induces the apoptosis, and inhibits the invasion andmigration of OV-90 and SKOV-3 cells. miR-34a was selected for further study due to its tumor suppressive roles in various humancancers. We found miR-34a overexpression enhanced the inhibitory effects of REV on OC cells, whereas miR-34a inhibition hadthe opposite effect in OC cells. In addition, we verified that BCL2, an anti-apoptotic gene, was found directly targeted by miR-34a. We also found that REV reduced the expression of Bcl-2 in OC cells. Further investigations revealed that overexpression of Bcl-2significantly abolished the anti-tumor effects of REV on OC cells. Conclusion: Overall, these results demonstrated that REV exerts anti-cancer effects on OC cells through an miR-34a/Bcl-2 axis,highlighting the therapeutic potential of REV for treatment of OC.

      • Hollow submicron-sized spherical conducting polyaniline particles and their suspension rheology under applied electric fields

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Conducting polymeric polyaniline hollow spheres (PANI-HS) were fabricated and evaluated as a smart electro-stimuli responsive material, whose both special structure of shorter diffusion length promotes the electron transfer and specific surface area is greatly amplified than solid spheres. The monodisperse polystyrene (PS) seeds were initially synthesized by a facile surfactant-free emulsion polymerization, and then the monomer aniline was adsorbed and polymerized on the sulfonated PS spheres to form the PS/polyaniline (PANI) composites, allowing the PS cores to be removed by a solvent extraction later. The morphology and shell thickness were examined using both scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy affirmed chemical structure of pure PS, PS/PANI and PANI-HS. The dielectric spectra were further analyzed for their electrorheological (ER) characteristics with LCR meter.       • Structural and functional analyses of the lipase CinB from <i>Enterobacter asburiae</i>

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Lipases are widely present in various plants, animals and microorganisms, constituting a large category of enzymes. They have the ability to catalyze the cleavage of ester bonds. The lipase CinB from <I>Enterobacter asburiae</I> (<I>E. asburiae</I>) is an acetyl esterase. The primary amino acid sequence suggests that the EaCinB protein belongs to the α/β-hydrolase (ABH) superfamily of the esterase/lipase superfamily. However, its molecular functions have not yet been determined. Here, we report the crystal structure of <I>E. asburiae</I> CinB at a 1.45 Å resolution. EaCinB contains a signal peptide, cap domain and catalytic domain. The active site of EaCinB contains the catalytic triad (Ser180-His307-Asp277) on the catalytic domain. The oxyanion hole is composed of Gly106 and Gly107 within the conserved sequence motif HGGG (amino acid residues 106–109). The substrate is accessible between the α1 and α2 helices or the α1 helix and catalytic domain. Narrow substrate pockets are formed by the α2 helix of the cap domain. Site-directed mutagenesis showed that EaCinB-W208H exhibits a higher catalytic ability than EaCinB-WT by approximately nine times.         Fault diagnosis method of rolling bearing based on deep belief network

        A method based on the theory of deep learning and feature extraction and a fault diagnosis model of a rolling bearing based on deep belief network are proposed in this study considering the complex, nonlinear, and non-stationary vibration signal of the rolling bearing. To some extent, the method avoids the complex structure of deep neural network and can be easily trained. Experimental results show that the recognition rate of the method reaches 100 %. The method can identify various types of faults accurately and has good fault diagnosis capability, which can provide the convenience for maintenance.
