카드뮴에 의해 유도되는 담배의 생장, 엽록소 함량, rubisco와 rubisco activase에 미치는 SA의 영향과, 이에 대한 변성제의 효과를 연구하였다. 담배 기내생장에 대한 SA의 최적농도를 찾기 위해, 10?? mM - 10² mM SA를 처리하여 9주간 생장시킨 결과, 10?⁴ mM SA에서 가장 높은 생장을 보였다. SA와 카드뮴을 4개의 실험구(대조구, SA, 카드뮴, 카드뮴 + SA)로 하여 생장, 엽록소 함량 및 rubisco와 rubisco activase의 함량과 활성을 측정한 결과, 카드뮴 > 카드뮴 + SA < 대조구 < SA 순서이었으며, 대조구보다 카드뮴을 처리했을 때 낮았고, 대조구보다 SA에서 높았으며, 카드뮴 보다 SA에서 높게 나타났다. 이는 카드뮴에 의해 유발된 억제 현상이 SA에 의해 반전되었음을 의미하는 것으로, SA는 담배 식물의 기내생장, 엽록소 및 rubisco/rubisco activase에 대한 카드뮴의 손실 효과를 개선시키는 positive effect 작용을 하는 것으로 나타났다. Rubisco의 활성에 대한 변성제 들은 카드뮴 > 카드뮴 + SA < 대조구 < SA 순서로 효과를 나타냈으며, 이 중 L-cysteine과 β-mercaptoethanol은 활성을 촉진시켰으며, urea, thiourea, guanidium-HCl은 억제시켰다. 이는 L-cysteine과 β-mercaptoethanol은 변성에 관여하지 않으며, urea, thiourea, guanidium-HCl은 변성에 관여하였음을 의미한다. Rubisco activase의 활성에 대한 변성제들의 영향을 조사한 결과, 5종 모두는 비처리구와 비교하여 현저한 영향은 나타내지 않았다. The influence of salicylic acid (SA) on growth, chlorophyll, and rubisco/rubisco activase and effect of denaturator on rubisco/rubisco activase activity were studied in tobacco plants grown in vitro with cadmium (Cd) treatment. In order to find out the optimum concentration of SA, tobacco plants treated with 10?? mM?10² mM of SA were grown in MS medium for 9 weeks, respectively. The most pronounced effect on in vitro growth was found at 10?⁴ mM SA. Among the control (not treated with Cd and SA), SA, Cd, and Cd + SA, the growth and content of chlorophyll were in the sequence of Cd < Cd + SA < control < SA, and significantly higher at SA compared with others. Similar results were also observed in the content and activity of rubisco and rubisco activase. These data suggest that inhibitory effect by Cd was reversed by SA. These results also indicate that SA has a positive effect on Cd. The effect of denaturants on rubisco activity showed in the sequence of Cd < Cd + SA < control < SA. Rubisco activity was promoted by L-cysteine and β-mercaptoethanol, not by urea, thiourea, and guanidium-HCl. These data suggest that urea, thiourea, and guanidium-HCl are able to act as denaturator, and L-cysteine and β-mercaptoethanol are not. None of the five denaturants affected the activity of rubisco activase.

Rad51, a key factor in the homologous recombination pathway for the DNA double-strand break repair, plays a vital role in genesis of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In recent years, more and more studies indicate that high expression of Rad51 is of great relevance to resistance of NSCLC to chemotherapeutic agents and ionizing radiation. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the role of single Rad51 on cell viability in vitro. Our results show that depletion of endogenous Rad51 is sufficient to inhibit the growth of the A549 lung cancer cell line, by accumulating cells in G1 phase and inducing cell death. We conclude that independent Rad51 expression is critical to the survival of A549 cells and can be an independent prognostic factor in NSCLC patients.

The Chinese e-commerce market is steadily growing. With the popularization of e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba and Jingdong, emerging enterprises have achieved success in a short period of time. Recently, the influence of international e-commerce policy and the development of low-temperature distribution system have led to an increase online food shopping in China. Especially, as the purchasing power of Chinese people becomes stronger, the need for nutritional health and convenient food increases, and the policy of the Chinese government also helps the development of the leisure food industry. First, because of the time and physical constraints, the numbers of survey collected were limited and large-scale sample surveys were not conducted. Second, The ages to be surveyed were in their twenties and thirties, and occupation was concentrated on office workers and students. Third, customer satisfaction of online leisure food shopping has a significant effect on customer loyalty and repurchase intention. Therefore, studying how customer satisfaction of online leisure food shopping affects customer loyalty and repurchase intention will become a valuable research direction in the future. Lastly, in this study, I have adopted the factors of purchasing factors on online leisure food through existing literature studies, but there is a limit to present the factors that influence purchase factors. Therefore, further study is needed to clarify the effects and relationships between various variables that may affect purchase factors.

Water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes) is one of the most well-known aquatic weeds as it causes problems in watercourses all over the world. This invasive species is fast-growing and thus has the potential for its use in preparing growth medium of microorganisms. Toward it, the pretreatment and enzymatic saccharification are positively the decisive processes. But there are other crucial processes, which are usually ignored by researchers. To the best of my knowledge, this presented work is the first time discovering that the juice obtained from water lettuce is valuable. Except for sterilization, no treatment is needed for the water lettuce’s juice and it can be directly served for cell growth. For Escherichia coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pichia pastoris, Bacillus subtilis, Lactococcus Lactis, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Lactobacillus plantarum, the cell density in the broth of water lettuce’s juice as the only carbon source is 10-60% higher than that in LB, YPD, BHI, M17, MRS. We then examined the production of microbial lipid by YM prepared in the juice of water lettuce. In comparison to commercial medium YM broth, the YM with juice caused 84% increase in the production of microbial lipid. A simple process of collecting juice notably increased productivity.

Objective: This study strived to evaluate the relationship between degree of pulmonary emphysema and cardiac ventricular function in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) using electrocardiographic-gated multidetector computed tomography (CT). Materials and Methods: Lung transplantation candidates with the diagnosis of COPD and PH were chosen for the study population, and a total of 15 patients were included. The extent of emphysema is defined as the percentage of voxels below -910 Hounsfield units in the lung windows in whole lung CT without intravenous contrast. Heart function parameters were measured by electrocardiographic-gated CT angiography. Linear regression analysis was conducted to examine the associations between percent emphysema and heart function indicators. Results: Significant correlations were found between percent emphysema and right ventricular (RV) measurements, including RV end-diastolic volume (R2 = 0.340, p = 0.023), RV stroke volume (R2 = 0.406, p = 0.011), and RV cardiac output (R2 = 0.382, p = 0.014); the correlations between percent emphysema and left ventricular function indicators were not observed. Conclusion: The study revealed that percent emphysema is correlated with RV dysfunction among COPD patients with PH. Based on our findings, percent emphysema can be considered for use as an indicator to predict the severity of right ventricular dysfunction among COPD patients.
