Priority based current control design in high speed sensorless PMSM drives

The design of current controller in high speed sensorless permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drives is studied. Due to a computation and a digital pulse-width modulation (DPWM) delays, the maximum achievable speed and current controller bandwidth is limited in high speed application. In order to reduce the delays, a modification in control sequence is proposed, which can significantly reduce the effect of the delay caused by the digital controller. The control priority concept is adapted to reduce the execution time of the PWM generation algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate the high speed operation where 700 Hz fundamental frequency is achieved with 2 kHz switching frequency.

MDPS(Motor Driven Power Steering) system is popularly used these days, replacing the hydraulic steering assist system thanks to many advantages. Otherwise some problems remain to be solved also. Rattle phenomenon is one of them and the study about the analysis of rattle does not go far. Tn this study, ADAMS model of the rattle test rig was built and correlated with test result. The test results used in correlation are the accelerations of the worm and worm wheel in worm shaft axial direction. The model has been validated through the correlation in low frequency range, and simulation results with the modified design are distinct from the original one as much as the test results. This model will help us to design the better worm gear set in MDPS system and solve the many problems about the rattle vibration.

An Input image is blocked into several blocks and features are extracted from these blocks. Blocks are classified by K-NN classifier using training data with predefined labels, and the most frequently selected block label becomes the label of the image. K-NN based scene classification system is not perfect in a practical situation because there are lots of ambiguous images which even a man cannot tell (indoor from outdoor), (city from landscape), (sunset from mountain&forest), (forest from mountain). Thresholding approach is added to explicitly say that ambiguity exists, and this image has ambiguous label. This increases performance and completeness of previous K-NN based scene classification system.

Recently, hydraulic power steering systems have been displaced by electric power steering systems in small and light passenger cars. The analysis of MDPS system is being useful and essential process, dynamic analysis of MDPS system is particularly important, because it can help the design of steering system by using evaluation and prediction system performance. In this study, The MDPS motor model was developed with Matlab Simulink form, which was useful to co-simulate with ADAMS model. With this motor model, the dynamic model of total steering system was developed and the dynamic analysis was performed to evaluate steering performance. The ripple vibration analysis was carried out, and the correlation with test results was performed to validate motor model.

공무원재해보상제도의 유족연금 지급률은 사망공무원의 재직기간이 긴 경우 상대적으로 더 높게 적용되기 때문에 고연령 계층 공무원에 비해 저연령 계층 공무원이 사망한 경우 불리하여 세대간 급여지급의 형평성 문제가 야기된다. 본 연구는 공무원이 재해로 사망한 경우 지급받게 될 유족연금 급여의 세대간 형평성을 경제적 손해액을 기준으로 평가하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 현행의 공무원재해보상 유족연금 지급률은 경제적 손해액을 고려 시 지나치게 낮은 수준이며, 상대적 저연령 계층일수록 경제적 손해액에 비해 유족연금액이 적게 산정되는 것으로 확인되었다. 사망으로 인한 실제의 경제적 손해를 기준으로 평가 하였을 때 상대적 저연령 계층 공무원의 지급률이 상대적 고연령 계층 공무원에 비해 더 높게 조정되어야 공무원 세대 간 형평성이 유지될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. Under the Government Employees Compensation System (GECS), pension rates for survivors are determined by one`s tenure, which gives rise to unfairness problems between age groups. In this paper, we evaluated the fairness of survivors` pension rates between age groups in terms of economic loss. As a result, the pension rates under the current compensation system are too low when the survivors` economic loss is taken into account. Furthermore, even lower pensions are paid to younger employees. In order to solve this unfairness problem, the pension rates for younger age group must be set at higher level than the ones for the old.

After we calculated the home owner’s user cost(Ct) and renter’s rental cost(Rt) of the same house in the housing market,we analyzed the long-term relationship between Ct and Rt. In addition, we also analyzed the long-term relationship between the variation of the value ( Rt-Ct) and housing price(Ht). To do this, after building reasonable formulas to calculate the values of Ct and Rt varied by time t, we analyzed the values of Ct and Rt by region. In the end, we presented the future forecasted values of Ct , Rt , and Ht. Related to the long-term relationship between Ct and Rt , it is expected that the demand for home buying would increase when the situation of Ct < Rt lasted. On the contrary, the demand for home buying would decrease when the situation of Ct > Rt lasted. Meanwhile, the potential home buyer could prefer renting to buying the same home when the growth rate of house price is lower than average growth rate. This period is expected to be highly related to the period when the situation of Ct > Rt lasted, and in our analysis, we could confirm this close relationship. It is expected that the analyzed results of the long-term relationship among Ct, Rt , and Ht as well as the forecasting method we used in our analysis could be used as a meaningful indicator to estimate the future direction of housing market environment by region in advance.
