      • Ribosomal DNA의 ITS영역 염기서열 분석에 의한 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.의 계통분류학적 유연관계

        기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.와 비병원성 A. alternata의 계통분류학적 유연관계를 규명하기 위하여 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria 6균, 비병원성인 A. alternata 그리고 비교균으로서 소형포자를 형성하는 A. brassicicola, 대형포자를 형성하는 A. solani의 ribosmal DNA의 5.8S를 포함한 ITS영역의 염기 서열을 분석하였던 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Alternaria spp.의 rDNA ITS영역의 염기서열 크기는 548∼562bp였으며 5.8S rDNA에서는 비교종간에 서로 일치하였고 ITS I에서는 종간 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 2. 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.의 rDNA의 ITS영역의 염기서열은 비병원성인 A. alternata의 염기서열과는 서로 일치하였으나 A. brassicicola와는 3%, A. solani와는 7%의 염기서열 차를 보였다. 3. 기주특이적 독소 생성 Alternaria spp.는 비병원성 A. alternata와 진화적으로 매우 가까운 유연관계를 나타내었다. The regions of internal transcribed spacer(ITS) including 5.8S ribosomal DNA(rDXA) from six host-specific toxin(HST) producing Alternaria spp. nonpathogenic A. alternata. A. solani and A. brassicicola were sequenced to assess their relationship in taxonomy. There was no difference in the sequences of ITS including 5.8S rDNA among the HST-producing Alternaria spp. and nonpathogenic A. alternata. However, the sequences of HST-producing Alternaria spp. were different from those of A. solani and A. brassicicola by about 7% and 3%, respectively. These results suggest that HST-producing Alternaria spp. are evolutionarily very close to non pathogenic A. alternata although they have host-specific pathogenecity.

        대학생들이 지각하는 스포츠스타 이미지가 브랜드태도, 브랜드충성도, 브랜드이미지에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to inquire into whether characteristics of sports stars` images have positive effects on brand attitude, brand image and brand royalty, and to analyze their images which can be possessed by college students actively participating in sports activities, compared to other age-groups, corporate brand characteristics using sports stars and their correlation. In order to give basic information of sports stars` images and brand attitude, image and royalty to domestic preferred by college students, this research came to the fol-lowing conclusions by analyzing data from 393 Students of 3 colleges in “D” city and “G” province by applying descriptive analysis, factor, reliability analysis, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA with SPSS Win-dows 12.0. First, for appearance images of sports stars, male college students with the higher number in sports participation and higher average participation time showed high awareness of Park Tae-hwan, Lee Seung-yeop and Chu Seong-hun. Second, for their evaluation images, male junior and senior college students with the higher number of sports participation and the higher average participation time showed higher awareness of Lee Seung-yeop and Chu Seong-hun. Third, images of sports stars preferred by college students had posi-tive effects on brand characteristics, i.e., brand attitude, brand image and brand loyalty.

        Study of liver regeneration is essential to understand mechanisms of cell proliferation since it is a result of highly coordinated proliferation of hepatocytes and non-parenchymal liver cells. The liver possesses the ability to regenerate after chemical or surgical injury, Partial hepatectumy(PH) is frequently used as a model to study liver regeneration in rats and other laboratory animals. This rapid process of replacement of liver cells to restore the function is a compensatory hyperplasia. In intact liver, hepatocytes remain at the Go phase of interphase, however, immediately after the PH cells activate the cell cycle progression and undergo mitosis. Numerous cytokines and growth factors play an important role in the events during liver regeneration. The remnant liver after PH grew fast from 1 day until 7 days. Various changes were morphologically observed. Disintegration of cell plates and liver lobule were observed shortly after PH. And hepatocytes showed the rapid proliferation and were characterized by high nuclear cytoplasmic ratio, weak intercellular junctions, chromatin condensation, increase of ribosomes and mitochondria, and immediately sharp increase of lipid droplets. Finally, remodeling of the liver lobule was completed through the rearrangement of blood vessels and cell plates at 7 days after PH. In the regeneration process, the selenium mixture might play a stimulating effect of cell proliferation after the PH.

        흰쥐에서 외상성 신경종예방에 대한 연구

        Prevention of traumatic neuroma has been the subject of extensive since early in the nineteenth century. Odier described this enlargement which develops at the distal end of proximal segments of peripheral nerves after partial or complete transsection. However, there seems to be no unanimity of opinion regarding the treatments of nerve at the time of severed injury. Ligating the proximal end of such a nerve, implanting it into muscle or born, resecting it, injecting it with a sclerosing agent or capping it with a silicone cuff are commonly used at the present time. Petropoulos introduced a nitrogen mustard as a sclerosing agent to prevent the neuroma. Tupper and Booth reported funniculecomy and epincurial ligation with satisfactory result obtained in many patients. However there is no commonly acceptable method. The authers carried out animal studys to find out the better operative procedure to prevent the traumatic neuroma. The sciatic nerve of the rat was exposed under the operating microscope and resected about 1㎝ from the end of the divied portion. Eighty rats were divided into 4 groups by a technique to differentiate management of the severed proximal nerve ends, that is, a control group, a nitrogen mustard injected group, a epineurial ligation group and a combined group(epineurial ligation following the injection of nitrogen mustard). The wound was closed with 4-0 black silk. Three months later, the wound was reopened and the presence of neuroma was observed grossly and microscopically. The results were as follows : 1) The proximal portion of the severed nerve in the combined group were tapered to the end and neuromas were hardly seen grossly. 2) The diameters of minifascicle and the numbers of nerve fibers of the combined group were the smallest and fewest compared with others(p<0.05). 3) The combined group took only 2 to 3 minutes more than the others, but it was better method. The authors found the superiority of this latter method, epineurial ligation following nitrogen mustard injection in the severed end, compaired with the others.

      • Erwinia sp. 에 의한 고추 마디 썩음병(무름병)에 관한 연구

        A bacterial disease of peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) that rotted the stem nodes to blacken was newly found in peppers that cultivated in plastic house by hydroponic culture at Chungdo, Kyung pook, Korea in March 1998. Bacterial isolates derived from the diseased peppers was also pathogenic to potato, eggplant and Chinese cabbage but was not be pathogenic to chrysanthemum by artificial inoculation. Growth of the pathogenic bacteria was inhibited by 5r/ml Streptomycin H₂SO₄ and Friadiomycin H₂SO₄. On the basis of bacteriological characteristics and pathogenicity on the host plants of the organism, the causal bacteria to the pepper bacterial disease is identified as Envinia carotovora subsp. carotovora and this disease is proposed to name "Bacterial node black rot of pepper"

      • 흙의 密度와 含水比가 剪斷强度에 미치는 影響

        It has been known that the shear strength of soil is an important design parameter for the foundation of structures, the retaining walls, the slope failures and so forth. In this study, the shear test was performed by using the direct shear apparatus under various degree of the moisture content and the density of the sample soils. The results of the study were summarized as follows; 1. The shear strength of soil increased with increase in the dry density of soil, and at the same level of density of the sample the shear strength of soil showed large values on a good grading of the sample. 2. The cohesion of the soil varied directly with the dry density of it, however the internal friction angle of soil was not affected by the dry density of the sample. 3. The shear strength of sample varied inversly with the moisture content of it, and this phenomenon was apparent on a good grading of sample. 4. The cohesion of soil showed maximum value when the moisture content of the soil reached optimum level and the internal friction angle decreased with increase in the moisture content of it. These phenomena were very obvious on a good grading sample, SDC-1. 5. The cohesion of the soil decreased with increase in void ratio of the sample, but the internal friction angle of the sample didn't show such tendency.
