        입상활성탄에 의한 Cu, Zn, Cd 이온의 흡착 특성

        In this work, the characterization of adsorption of Cu, Zn and Cd on granular activated carbon in water has been studied. The factors that affect adsorption in boundary between activated carbon and wastewater are concentration, temperature, contact time, pH and so on. As the result of this study, the maximum adsorption amount of Cu occurred near pH 7, while that of Zn and Cd was near pH 9.6 and 10, respectively. As contact time and temperature are transformed, such factors as optimum contact time and temperature are taken into consideration in an adsorptive process of heavy metal because an adsorption and a reducing process occur. In isotherm of Freundlich, 1/n values of Cu, Cd capacity were between 0.16 and 0.5.

      • 한국무용수의 무산소 및 유산소성 파워에 관한 연구

        Followings are summaries of test results done on ten univeristy women majoring in Korean dancing at H and S universities with daucing experience of more than five years to evaluate anaerobic and aerobic power of Korean dancers using wingate test and gradually incresasing load method. 1. Korean dancer's anaerobic power parameters of peak power(W peak power), mean power(W mean power), and Fatigue Index were found to be 303.5+25.56 watt, 238.9+22.57 watt and 34.5+3.98% resoectuvety. 2. Korean daucer's aerobic power parameters of maximum oxygen absorption amount(VO_(2) max), anaerobic reverse level, lactase concentration accumulation in blood, and maximum heart pulse number were found to be 39.3+4.12㎖/㎏/min, 54.5+3.78%,8.3+1.79㎜ and 193.5+7.42beat /min. Above result shows that Korean dancer's auaerobic and aerobic power level is lower than that of other sports players and similar to that of common people and this resulted from long-term Korean dancing training concentrated on technies and action expression rather than on athletic power. However, as action performing in Korean dancing requires medium level athletic power to express work and static action expression also requires high concentration and athletic powers so training to intensify anaerobic and aerobic athletic ability is serionsly required for the consistent superior action performance and expression during the entire work performing duration.

      • 분광 앨립소미트리를 이용한 유리기판 위의 박막 분석

        Spectroscopic ellipsometry 은 다양한 물질의 광학적 특징을 연구할 수 있는 강력한 기술이다. 현재 실리콘 웨이퍼 위의 박막 분석에는 그 효율성이 확실히 입증되어 있다. 그러나 현재 산업은 유리 기판위의 박막을 분석하기를 원하고 있다. Ellipsometry로 투명기판을 분석하기 위해서는 후면 반사에의한 비간섭성 효과를 고려해야 한다. 기존의 반사공식을 투명기판의 비간섭성을 고려하여 수정하였다. 투명기판 위의 샘플과 scratch를 낸 같은 샘플을 측정 분석하여 정확성을 확인하였다. 수정된 반사공식을 이용하면 디스플레이와 같은 투명재료를 이용하는 곳에 유용하게 사용될 것으로 기대되고 있다. A Spectroscpic ellipsometry is very strong technology to study optical properties of many materials. It has already substantiated a analytic efficiency about thin films above wafers to be made of silicon. However, the current industry needs thin films analyzed on a glass. When we analyze a glass using a ellipsometry, we have to consider a efficiency of incoherence due to reflect at the back side. So then, we slightly altered the original formula. We compared a scratched sample with a sample on the glass, because off getting a exactitude. Our technical development, using the changed formula, is expected the useful utilization in a part of using gIasses such as display.

        방사선 조사 건고사리의 수화 복원성, 색상 및 조직감 특성

        The gamma irradiation effect of dried fernbraken was investigated on the physical and sensory qualities during and after soaking process. Dried fernbraken packaged in vacuum was irradiated up to 7 kGy with γ-ray produced by 132 Cs at 0℃. Moisture content and rehydration rate of gamma-irradiated fernbraken after soaking increased significantly depending on the irradiation doses(p<0.05). Lightness(L), redness(a) and yellowness(b) values of Hunter color system increased significantly in the gamma-irradiated fernbraken after soaking, compared with control, while the hardness and chewiness by the texture analyser decreased significantly in irradiated ones. Sensory evaluation results showed that the mean scores of flavor, appearance, taste, texture and over-all acceptability in soaked fernbraken irradiated were not significantly different from those in control, except higher preference score of texture in irradiated ones. From these results, it might be concluded that the irradiation does not affect the physical and sensory qualities of dried fembraken during and after soaking, especially in texture.

      • 식품유해세균에 대한 식초의 항균효과

        본 연구에서는 시판되고 있는 식초를 이용하여 6종의 식품 유해세균에 대한 항균력을 비교하였다. 그 결과, 감식초와 현미식초는 합성식초에 비해 S. aureus, M. luteus, S. enteritidis 및 E. coli에서 항균 활성이 높게 나타났으며, 현미식초가 감식초에 비해 식품유해세균에 대한 항균활성이 비교적 더 높게 나타났다. 현미식초의 농도에 따른 항균활성을 조사한 결과 5종의 그람양성 세균 및 음성 세균 모두 10μm/mL 이상의 농도에서 생육이 거의 억제되었으나, V. parahaemolyticus는 15 μm/mL 농도에서 생육이 거의 정지되어, 현미식초는 식품 부패균과 대장균 생육억제에 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 식초처리에 의한 미생물의 형태 변화를 전자 현미경으로 관찰한 결과 S. aureus, E. coli 모두 세포가 팽윤되고 일부 세포벽이 완전히 파괴된 형태를 관찰할 수 있어 식초처리로 인해 세균의 생육이 억제되는 것을 알 수 있었다. We investigated antimicrobial effects of commercial vinegar on the harmful food-born organisms. As a result, antimicrobial effects of brown rice vinegar showed stronger than persimmon and artificial vinegar. In 10μL/mL concentration of brown rice vinegar was completely inhibited about 5 strains except for V. parahaemolyticus, it was inhibited 15 μL/mL concentration. Therefore vinegars were effective for inhibition acitivity against foodborne organisms. S. aureus and E. coli treated with 25μL/mL concentration brown rice vinegar was observed by scanning electron micrographs(SEM). The cells were expanded and a part of cell wall was completely destructed by brown rice vinegar.

        응급실 자의퇴원환자의 요인분석

        Discharge against medical advice(AMA) in the emergency department is a frustrating, painful event to both patients and emergency physicians and emergency physicians. A retrospective chart review of 347 consecutive AMA patient from our emergency department from December 1992 to May 1993. Among them, 185 patients were interviewed with our researcher about primary cause of AMA through telephone contact. The results were as follows : 1. Total 9,705 patients visited our emergency department during 6-months period and there was 347 AMA patients(3.6%) 2. The main reasons for 185 AMA were ; 1) patients' or family's own problem in 114 cases(61.6%) 2) changes in patient condition(terminal case, improvement) in 56 cases(30.3%). 3) dissatisfaction to medical services in 15 cases(8.1%) 3. During same period, there was 117 cases of drug intoxication mainly due to suicidal attempt and 18 AMA was noted. Among 18 AMA cases, 16 patients discharged against medical advice due to patients' own problem(mainly due to economical problem) but none of them revisited OPD or emergency department. 4. Eight of 40 AMA patients with symptom improvement were managed in OPD, emergency department or other hospital but none of them admitted. In conclusion, we noticed that the main cause of AMA is non-medical problem in Korea and there should be continuous effert to improve our medical insurance system, emergency medical services system. Only through the judicious use of AMA, it can be used as a tool of determining patient satisfaction and quality improvement in emergency medical field.

      • 총 비골 신경마비의 전기진단학적 고찰

        Common peroneal nerve palsy is one of the most frequently encountered nerve injuries. The reason for this is the superficial portion of the nerve as it curves around the head of the fibula where it is subject to direct trauma, pressure, or other injuries. In acute stage, when clinical paralysis appears to be complete, electrophysiologic studies are useful guides to predict prognosis. In many of incomplete clinical recovery, the degree of recovery is dependent on rather EMG findings and motor nerve conduction velocities than clinical findings. A retrospective analysis of clinical and electrodiagnostic findings of the 19 cases of common peroneal nerve palsy with follow up seen from January 1987 to August 1989 in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Chungnam National University Hospital was carried out. The results of these studies were as follows. 1. Among the common peroneal nerve injuries, ones accompained by trauma, especially fracture showed relatively poor clinical recovery and ones with compression or spontaneous onset showed better recovery. 2. The clinical recovery was relatively poor when the conduction velocity distal to the fibular head was delayed or when the compound muscle action potential was not obtained over extensor digitorum brevis in the initial motor conduction studies. 3. The clinical recovery was relatively better when the initial sensory conduction studies showed normal sensory distal latency, while the recovery was worse when the sensory nrve action potential was absent or the amplitude was smaller than 50% of that of the non-paralyzed contralateral side.
