        사회과 학업성취와 관련된 학습동기 유형과 영향요인 분석

        본 연구는 고등학생들의 자발적인 학습참여를 유도하기 위하여 학생들의 학습동기의 실태를 파악하고 학습동기에 영향력을 미치는 교실수업요인을 실증적으로 검증해내는데 그 목적이 있다. 학습동기는 내적동기, 동일시된 규제동기, 외적동기, 무동기의 유형으로 구분하여 유형별 동기유발의 정도와 학업에 영향을 미치는 학습된 무기력의 경험 정도를 파악하였다. 연구결과 우리나라 고등학생들은 사회교과목 학습에 있어서 내적동기 보다 외적동기가 강하게 작용하였으나 사회과 학업성취의 차이에는 외적동기가 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 사회과 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 학습의 내적동기의 강화에는 수업방식과 교과서가 영향력 있는 요인으로, 동일시된 규제동기의 유발과 학습된 무기력을 경험하는 데에는 수업방식 교사의 태도 교과서가 영향력 있는 요인인 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to understand high school students's motivation to learn social studies and to find out variables in classroom settings that improve the learning motivatin. For the study, about 500 male and female studnets in high schools are sampled. Survey instruments are developed based on th study of Guay(2000), literature review, and consult with professionals. The types of motivations are classified as intrinsic motivation, identified regulation, extrinsic amotivation and amotivation. Students' experience of helplessness is also surveyed because it may influence on the academic achievement. To analyze data, frequencies, means and standard deviations are run, and t-test and regression analysis are applied using the SPSS program. As a result, it appears that the extrinsic motivation of students is higher than intrinsic motivation and identified regulation. However, the types of motivation that influence on the students' academic achievement are the intrinsic motivation and the identified regulation. It is found that the variables which could influence to Improve students' intrinsic motivation are textbooks and teaching methods. Teachers, textbooks, and teaching methods also increase identified regulation, and decrease the experience of helplessness of learning.

        화학공장의 악취배출량으로부터 간이 악취 영향도 예측 사례

        Odor sources of a chemical plant in Ulsan were surveyed and temperatures, humidities and flow rates of each exhaust gas were measured. The air samples collected from each source were transferred to the laboratory for sensory test and their odor concentrations were investigated. The odor emission rate of each source was estimated from the recorded results and assigned the sources expected to be needed for the odor prevention policy using the simple prediction equation of the affection by malodor to the nearest residential area. From the total odor emission rate of the examined plant and the relation table for expectable affection area, it was concluded that total odor emission of this plant might be decreased for the prevention of residential complaint.

        중등 사회과교과서에 나타난 한·중·일 관계 분석 : 다문화교육의 관점에서 the Perspective of the Multicultural Education

        본 연구에서는 제7차 교육과정으로 새롭게 개정된 중등 사회과 교과서의 내용과 단원구성을 다문화교육적인 관점에서 검토하고자 하였다. 특히 학생들이 속한 문화권과 그 이웃 문화와 관련된 중학교 1학년 사회과 교과서들의 동아시아 단원 부분을 분석 대상으로 하였다. 본문에서는 먼저 분석의 시각으로써 제시된 다문화교육의 핵심적 개념을 제시하고, 6종 교과서에 제시된 한ㆍ중ㆍ일 삼국에 관한 내용과 단원구성에 대해 비교 분석하였으며, 이에 따라 발견되는 문제점들을 지적하였다. 대부분의 교과서는 삼국의 문화를 하나의 문화권으로 제시하면서 상호 유사성과 차이점을 드러내고자 하였다. 그러나 다문화교육적 관점에 비추어 볼 때 지나치게 중국 중심적인 단원 구성과 문화의 편향된 인식, 문화적 전형에 대한 비판적 인식과 삼국관계의 상호 연계성이 결여된 등 삼국관계 이해교육의 문제점을 드러내고 있는 것으로 지적되었다. This paper attempts to analyze six social studies textbooks provided for recently revised curriculum. It closely looks at one unit of each social studies textbook, titled the development of East Asia, and trys to examine contents, organizations of the unit with the perspective of Multicultural education(MCE). Since MEC perspective was taken as the theoretical framework of the analysis, this paper provides the core concepts of the MCE; the diversity and equity, the similarities and differences among cultures, the removal of misconception of cultures, the identities and respects of cultures, and the understanding of cultures and interrelations among them. It was found that there are several problems that may deteriorate in understanding cultures of East Asian countries. In general, the units of East Asia in social studies textbooks mainly consisted of Chinese history, omitting the most stories of other countries. Moreover, the development of each country was independently described, lacking the coherence of a cultural boundary as East Asia and the interaction among countries. It was also pointed out that even parts of the unit such as topic, introduction, summary questions, inquiry activities needed to be more coherent within a unit in order to clearly reveal the theme of the units.

        대졸 청년층 하향취업의 결정요인

        이 연구는 29세 이하, 취업경험 6년 이하 대졸 청년층의 하향취업을 결정하는 요인들을 분석하였다. 하향취업을 측정하는 방법으로 통계적인 방법을 고안하였고, 그와 동시에 주관적 평가 방식에 따른 측정방법을 보완적으로 활용하였다. 분석된 자료는 한국고용정보원에서 수집한「산업별·직업별 고용구조조사(2006)」원자료다. 하향취업자 비율은 통계적 측정방법에 따르면 42.7%, 주관적인 평가에 따르면22.0%로 측정방법에 따라 큰 차이가 있다. 통계적 측정방법을 취할 경우 여성이, 주관적 평가 방법을 취할 경우 남성이 높은 하향취업율을 보인다. 연령이 낮을수록, 비정규직일수록, 대체로 사업체 규모가 적을수록 하향취업자 비율이 높다. 그밖에 미혼일수록, 자격증이 없을수록, 1년 이내에 교육·훈련 경험이 없을수록 하향취업자 비율이 높다. This article defined two methods to measure 'downgrading employment' and analysed it's main factors for korean youth workers. Downgrading employment means working in a job which needs a lower level of education than oneselfs degree. We use two methods of measurement: one define it by 'statistical method' and another by the subjective assessment of respondents. According to the statistical method, 42.7% of young workers are found in a situation of downgrading employment. But only 22.0% of them feel a situation of downgrading employment. Downgrading employment is more frequent within women, younger age group, non regular employee, medium and small enterprises's workers. The civil state, qualification related to oneselfs job, training experience are also factors which have a influence on a downgrading employment.

      • 제7차 수학과 교육과정에 대한 교사들의 인식과 적용상의 문제점

        This study is designed to find out the understanding of school teachers in relation to the 7th mathematics curriculum revised in accordance with the changes and needs of the day and the problems coming from its application in classes with the help of a questionnaire research, and to come up with the solutions. We worked with first-grade and second-grade teachers in such districts as Chinju, Hadong, Kimhae and Yangsan with the aid of questionnaires, using 285 copies as a means of analysis materials. According to the research, the subjects trunk of the purports or contents of the 7th mathematics curriculum as proper in principle, feeling that it is too ideal a curriculum that doesn't take the given actual condition intro consideration. The subjects hold that the fact that what was originally intended from the 7th mathematics curriculum at the outset fail to be realized in the fields of education is ascribable to such factors as lack of loaming materials, an excessive number of students, too much leaning per period, and lack of their understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods and so forth. We would like to make the following suggestions with a view to working out the problems coming from the application of the 7th mathematics curriculum. First, the number of students per class should be reduced to less than 30. Because it is hard to form mathematic concepts through specific operational activities, playful learning, and intention-exchanging activities due to the present number of students, and it is extremely difficult to carry out level-based classes. Second, standardized learning materials should be provided. Though a large number of learning materials are needed in view of the math text, the actual condition of the schools leaves much to be desired on account of lack of teaming materials, which inhibits classes from going smoothly. Therefore, at least such basic materials as numerical models, cards, and building blocks should be distributed. Third, it is necessary to make policy-related efforts to develop a variety of training programs for the teachers and to expand training opportunities. I would like to suggest that teacher-training programs should be worked out in relation to top-notch thinking or various kinds of theories on math and the reorganization of the curriculum with a view to involve more teachers. With this in mind, such institutions as EBS and Teachers' Training Center, etc. should hopefully work out and implement high-quality teachers' training programs. Fourth, it is necessary for teachers to change their minds. The subjects find it hard to teach their students because there are too many to teach and lean by period and the contents of learning have been upgraded. This is attributable to the teachers' views on the textbook: They regard it as absolute. So it is absolutely necessary for the teachers to apply the curriculum to each class situation based on changes in their minds and to look upon the textbook as one of materials to attain the purpose of education and to be possessed of insight as experts well- versed in the curriculum in a more broad perspective. With this in mind, the teachers should make continuous efforts and at the same time the higher educational institutions also make policy-related efforts to encourage more teachers to make a real study and to make sincere efforts.

        한지의상에 나타난 소재 표현기법 연구

        Hanji costumes has four aspects that allow the creator or artist to create many variations. The pictorial effects of Hanji costumes are produced through variations in the dyes and brushes used for its application. The amount of water and texture of the Hanji mixture also influences the Hanji clothing. This effect was expressed using a dry brush technique, a dripping technique, India inks, and fragments from other Hanji works. A second aspect of Hanji clothing is the coloring effect in the Hanji costumes. The coloring is due to the fibers in the preparation mixture and the uniqueness of the dyes. The Hanji clothing was dyed various colors and patterns by dip dyeing, block dyeing, silk screens, digital printing. The third aspect of Hanji imagination in clothing is the decorative details. The details in Hanji clothing can be seen using frills, pleats, tucks and ribbons. The last variation of Hanji clothing can be expressed through crafting techniques. These techniques are the quality of paper string, cuts in the paper and paste ingredients. With Hanji cloth, it is possible to plait, roll, and crample into other flexible & useful materials.

        The Portrayal of Korea

        This paper attempts to review Korean history as depicted in world history textbooks for American secondary schools. Since Korean history presented within these textbooks will have a great influence on how students perceive Korea and understand Korean history, they should be written in an accurate and coherent manner, and well-integrated with supplementary texts to effectively promote reader comprehension. It is therefore essential to select and narratively reconstruct core historical events and to organize chapters in consideration of their educational impact on the comprehension of Korean history. This study thus attempts to analyze the depiction of Korean history in terms of coherence, topic selection, accuracy, and perspective with attention given to the coherence and effectiveness of supplementary sections, in contrast to previous studies that focused only on examining historical accuracy. The four world history textbooks examined are considered representative textbooks, are the most widely used in the U.S. secondary schools to date, and cover ancient through modem world history. Pedagogical problems proliferate in the historical accounts and supplementary sections on Korean history in textbooks. Outright errors and bias in the selection and interpretation of history have been noted that will unintentionally mislead students in their interpretation of the Korean past that may be largely determined by the Eurocentric perspective that informs the narration of Korean history.

      • Career Planning, Employment, and Career Development among Young Female High School Graduates

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the status of career planning, employment and career development among young women with a high school diploma, and to recommend related youth employment policies. The research methods applied are: review of previous studies and policy documents; statistical analysis; questionnaire survey; and holding advisory group meetings. Immediately after graduating from vocational high school, women enjoy greater employment opportunities and higher quality of job than do men. However, after five years the gender gap in employment opportunities, job stability, and compensation begins to widen and women become bound into more unfavorable conditions. The majority of female workers with a high school diploma are less determined to sustain their present employment status and see a lower chance of developing their career to a higher level. Based on the results of analysis, this study recommends: improving the governance of youth employment policies and gender balance; prevention of career disruption among female workers with a high school diploma; improvement of conditions for combining work and learning; support for young female graduates from general high schools; introducing a lifelong career education for female high school students; and follow-up studies on employment and career development among young female workers with a high school diploma.
