The methanolic extract of Hibiscus vitifolius flowers (HVE), was evaluated for neurophamacological activities by carrying out rota rod, locomotor activity and traction performance in mice and swim endurance activity in rats in different dosages (10, 30 and 100mg/kg body weight). HVE showed a significant effect on central nervous system by increasing the time taken for rota rod, traction performance and locomotor activity while swimming time was found to be decreased when compared to normal control animals. These results suggest that HVE possess significant anxiolytic and anti depressant activity which may be attributed to the presence of flavonoid in HVE.

The fabrication of high performance supercapacitor electrodes has been greatly investigated for future high power storage applications. In this present work, chromium oxide-cobalt oxide based nanocomposite (Cr2O3–Co3O4 NC) was synthesized using the hydrothermal approach. Moreover, the cyclic voltammetry (CV) study reveals the Cr2O3–Co3O4 NC delivers a high specific capacitance of 619.4 F/g at 10 mV/s. The electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) of Cr2O3–Co3O4 NC possess the solution resistance (Rs) and charge transfer resistance (Rct) of 0.68 Ω and 0.03 Ω respectively. The Galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) analysis demonstrated the prolonged charge-discharge time and good rate capability of the Cr2O3–Co3O4 NC. The cyclic stability of Cr2O3–Co3O4 NC delivers superior capacitive retention of 83% even after 2000 cycles. The asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) device based on Cr2O3–Co3O4//AC yielded an energy density of 4.3 Wh/kg at the corresponding power density of 200 W/kg. Furthermore, the ASC delivers superior cyclic stability of 74.8% even after 1000 consecutive charge-discharge cycles.
Analytical Studies on the Synchronization of a Network of Linearly-Coupled Simple Chaotic Systems

We present explicit generalized analytical solutions for a network of linearly-coupled simple chaotic systems. Analytical solutions are obtained for the normalized state equations of a network of linearly-coupled systems driven by a common chaotic drive system. Two parameter bifurcation diagrams revealing the various hidden synchronization regions, such as complete, phase and phase-lag synchronization are identified using the analytical results. The synchronization dynamics and their stability are studied using phase portraits and the master stability function, respectively. Further, experimental results for linearly-coupled simple chaotic systems are presented to confirm the analytical results. The synchronization dynamics of a network of chaotic systems studied analytically is reported for the first time.
