        In order to understand phytoplankton ecology in the Gulf of Yeong-il, climatic factors such as air-temperature, solar-radiation, evaporation, direction and strength of winds, and precipitation are studied from January 1982 to December 1985. Annual average of air-temperature during the four-years period is about 13.6C, ranging from 1.7C (January) to 26.5C (August). The maximum value of solarradiation is measured in spring (520MJm²in May), the minimun : in winter (62 MJm²in December, January or February), and the total annual value : about 4987MJm². Annual average of evaporation is about 1200mm (Maximum: 169 in May : Minimun: 56 in February), close to precipitation (about 1050mm). Annual average of strength of "North Winds" (350°-90°)is about 550m·sec for 156 frequences during 191 days, "West Winds" (170°-340°) : 511m·sec¹for 185 frequences during 148 days, and "South Winds" (100°-160°) about 61m·sec¹for frequences during 24 days. "N" winds is about 30% more violant than "W" winds, but both winds are influential in terms of water movements in the Gulf.

        Predicting tree-form should be very important, even though it is difficult, step for landscape designers. The terms 'form' and 'habit' are often used when talking about the appearance of plants. It will be helpful to attempt a definition of these two terms with respect to plants ; 'habit' can be described as the direction of growth, and 'form' as the mass contained within the extremities of growth. but the designers forget the important of 'habit'. The initial selection of plants is the deceive step in the ultimate success of any landscape design. This study was carried out the method to use data of landscape design by classifying 'form' and 'habit'. It is important to landscape designer to recognize the relationship between the rationality which prevails throughout the modern technical world and the intuitive aspects of design that are essential for developing creative solution to encourage creativity as well as analytical responsibility.

      • 鮟鱇網 漁具 漁法의 改良에 관한 硏究(Ⅱ) : 展開帆을 이용한 改良漁具 試驗(豫報)

        Ordinarily stow net fisheries was used by floater beam and sinker beam for the purpose of spreading the mouth of net. But it was not only iuconvenient and dangerous but much defective. In this thesis, we have studied fundermental experiment of the improved stow net fishing gear using head rope, ground rope and otter sail instead of floater beam and sinker beam. From the result of this experiment, it has been succeeded for fishing work to achieve basically without any difficulty. The results obtained in this study were as follows. 1) The resistance of fishing gear was estimated R≒7V2 as possible as it is taken greatly. (R: Resistance V: the rate of current) 2) The interval of otter sail was spreaded smoothly. Being in normal condition, it was maintamed the width 37-38m. It was heared comparison with net mouth of ordinary gear, and the shearing force was enough. 3) The height of mouth was lower than we have anticipated to and seemed to have the supplement of buoyancy. But according to increasing the rate of current, the lowness of mouth height was little affected. 4) The height of otter sail was decreased at the rate of 30% by the rate of current, on the contrary, the height of wing was not decreased owing to sufficient buoyancy, 5) The adjustment of extention length of hanging wire(connected with fishing boat) and raising wire(with otter sail) was great important problem and it must be dealed with the most moderatly because of a corelation between the spreading of fishing gear and catching ability. 6) On the depth of 30m, it was taken 25 minuits to cast anchor and lines, 20 min cast net, 24 min haul net, 45 min haul lines and heave anchor, respectively. 7) The improved stow net with otter sail was cleared up the defects and difficult problems in ordinary gear using floater beam and sinker beam, and it have more advantages of fishing work than ordinary one. But there were involved in lots of problems in details to solve in the future.

      • 忠南地方의 農業機械 訓練實態에 關한 調査

        This survey was conducted to secure a basic data for the effective training programs that might be an essential part of any successful mechanization of agriculture in Korea. Chung Nam provincial training center and 17 guidance offices with farm machinery training centers which were thought to be a medium level on their scale in whole country were selected in the survey on its training accomplishments, stafts, facilities, schedule and number of trainees at one time or in a class. The results and recommendations from this survey were as follows; To enhance the effect of farm machinery training, it was absolutely necessary for city or county training center to complement its facilities and equipments. It might be desirable that instructors of each training center should be the one educated or highly trained in the institution of farm machinery, and that the number of technical assistants should be increased and their present part time working condition should be changed to full-time status. It was recommended that training for farmers should be scheduled during off-season so that farmers could participate in the training couses, and that the number of trainees in a class should be reduced to about 10 trainees, which was approximately a fourth of the present situation.

        The purpose of this research was to analyze the effects of situation-related anxiety(SRA) on academic achievement of subject-matters of elementary and secondary school students(N=828), and the research problems were as follows; 1) What correlations are there between SRA's sub-factors(such as home-related anxiety; HORA, school-related anxiety: SCRA, examination-related anxiety: EXRA, and society-related anxiety: SRA) and academic achievement of subject-matters? 2) What the combined and relative effects are there SRA's sub-fectors on total academic achievement(TAA)? 3) What the combined and relative effects are there SRA's sub-factors on academic achievement of subject-matters? 4) What the combined and relative effects are there variables(items) in SRA's sub-factors on academic achievement of subject-matters? The subjects for this research were 828 and selected randomly from each level of school such as primary(199), middle(313), high(316) schools in Seoul. And the instruments used for the research were "Situation-Related Anxiety Scale" (Kim, Y.R. & Koo, s.S., 1989) and "Teacher-made Test". The collected data were analyzed statistically through SPSS program-simple correlation, multicorrelation, and regression analysis. The major findings of this research were as follows; 1) The correlation coefficient between SRA and each subject-matters' academic achievement and TAA was -.1914∼-.2414(p<.001), and the correlation between SCRA and each subject-matters' AA and TAA was statistically significant proved negative(-.2570∼-.3060, p<.001). 2) The R^2, the combined effect of SRA sub-factors on TAA 15.64%, and there were significantly relative effects of SRA sub-factors on TAA respectively(SCRA:9.37, SORA:3.19, HORA:2.30, and EXRA:0.78, p<.05). 3) The combined effect of SRA's sub-factors on subject-matters' academic achievement(SMAA) were 13.0%(Language), 11.0%(English), 11.0%(Mathematics), 13.12%(Social studies), and 11.44%(Morals) respectively. 4) The high effects-variabls(items) in SRA's sub-factors on SMAA were as follows: a) The high effects variable in HORA was "parents' non-recognition for children's ability" and the relative effects of this variable were 7.53%(TAA), 4.20%(Language), 4.47(English), 6.23%(Mathematics), 4.88%(Social studies), and 3.78(Morals). b) In case of SCRA, the relative effects of variable "my academic achievement opening" on SMAA were 8.95%(TAA), 7.71%(Language), 7.73%(English), 6.96%(Mathematics), 6.94%(Socal studies), and 6.51%(Morals). c) In the case of EXRA, ⑴ the relative effect of variable-"incapacity in exam-time" on Morals-SMAA was 5.32% and ⑵ the relative effects of variable- "presenting my academic achievement to parents" TAA and SMAA were 8.04%(TAA), 6.68%(English), 6.27%(Mathematics), 5.75%(Language), and 5.43%(Social studies). d) In the case of SORA, ⑴ the relative effects of variable- "frequent traffic accident" on TAA and SMAA were 2.14%(TAA), 2.02%(English), and 1.89%(Mathematics), and ⑵ the relative effects of variabls- "reception of intemperate foreign culture and goods" on SMAA were 1.95%(Language), 1.80%(Social studies), and 1.70%(Morals).

        The thought of Rousseau had brought the development of European society and culture, and still more, the field of physical culture had been developed since 18 century. The aim to study and arrange this subject is as followings. First. To be known to the contribution and the influence of Rousseau's physical field. Second. To explain that physical education includes knowledge, virtue, body and group. Third. To compare Rousseau's physical thought with modern physical inclination and study them in order to decide the way to act on the result of study and to consult them. 1. Rousseau said that man has potentiality from the first. It is natural that education must be based on the development of potentiality and much more, child's learning motive is based on the child's interest and curiosity. 2. Rousseauinsisted that the meaning of life lies in action and man can have the mean to live only if he make use of mind and body. Such aspects made European people have the field life and attitude of dynamic life. 3. He transferred from the way of education attached on books to child's action. According to this, the liberty of child's action is certainly kept and the child's education takes advantage of the play. 4. The educational thought of Rousseau is centered on the field life and the traditional play, the train of the practical learning and the sensual organs are based on physical education of school today. 5. The educational thought of Sokrates, Platon and Locke was handed down to Rousseau. Studying this thought, he made it his own. He achieved the great success as arrangement that the movement of physical education is knowledge, virtue, body and group. Mankind gained health in the result of keeping his theory. Today physical development was great all over the world owing to him.

      • 백일해 백신이 Streptozotocin 유발성 당뇨백서의 당대사에 미치는 영향

        Streptozotocin(STZ) may produce a permanent form of insulin-dependent diabetes (IDD) in experimental animals. This STZ-induced diabetes has become an useful model to study the pathogenesis of IDD in man primarily because it approximate clinical findings and also because it lends itself easily to controlled manipulation. The diabetogenic activity of STZ, however, is known to be modified by several agents such as nicotinamide, diazoxide, adrenergic blockers and pertussis vaccine (PV). The present study was undertaken to observe the protective effect of PV or boiled pertussis vaccine(bPV; incubating the PV at 80℃ for 30 minutes) against the development of IDD induced by STZ in young rats, and also the effect of PV on the activities of glycolytic & gluconeogeneic enzymes in both liver and muscle of rat. PV at a dose of 1.2×10^(10) microorganism was administrated intrapntoneally on 3days before & 7days after a single injection of STZ (GO㎎/㎏ body wt). The blood glucose and insulin levels were measured at 1st wk, 2nd wk, 4th wk, 6th wk and 8th wk after STZ injection, and the enzyme activities were exemined at 8th wk. The following results were obtained. 1. No significant difference was noted in blood glucose levels between STZ group and STZ+PV or STZ+bPV groups (P>0.05). 2. Blood insulin levels in STZ group decreased significantly from 2nd wk(P<0.05). Compared with STZ group, blood insulin levels in STZ+PV & STZ+bPV groups were higher, but not a significant value except at 2nd wk in STZ+PV grouP (P<0.05). 3. Compared with STZ group, hepatic glycolytic enzyme activities were significantly increased in STZ+PV or STZ+bPV groups, and muscular glycolytic enzyme activities were significantly increased in STZ+PV or STZ+bPV groups. 4. Compared with STZ group, hepatic gluconeogeneic enzyme activities were significantly increased in STZ+PV or STZ+bPV groups. These results suggest that the PV has somewhat protective effects on blood insulin levels and tissue glycolytic enzyme activities in rats, but it could not reduced blood glucose levels significantly, probably because of excessive increase of hepatic gluconeogeneic enzymes.

        녹차 및 결명자 추출물의 교정용 브라켓과 치면 사이의 경계부에서 분리된 mutans streptococci에 대한 항균작용

        본 연구는 치아우식증에 관련된 Mutans streptococci 표준균주 및 임상분리 균주의 성장억제를 유도할 수 있는 천연 생약추출물을 검색하기 위하여 실시되었다. 녹차추출물은 CHMC-2032를 사용하였으며, 결명자 추출물은 50% 에탄올을 이용하여 얻었다. 이들 추출물의 Mutans streptococci 표준균주 및 교정환자들에서 브라켓과 치면 사이의 경계부에서 분리된 각각 10 균주씩의 S. mutans 및 S. sobrinus에 대한 최소성장억제농도를 액체배지 희석법으로 구하였다. 그 결과 CHMC-2032의 S. mutans 및 S. sobrinus의 표준 균주, S. sobrinus의 대부분 임상분리 균주에 대한 최소성장억제농도는 5 mg/ml이었다. 그러나 결명자 추출물에 의한 S. mutans 및 S. sobrinus에 대한 세균 성장억제 효과는 미미하였다. 본 연구 결과 치아우식증의 예방적 측면에서 결명자차보다는 녹차를 마시는 것이 유리하며, CHMC-2032를 이용하여 구강양치용액을 제조하여 사용할 경우 교정환자를 포함하여 대부분의 사람에게서 치아우식증 예방 효과가 있으리고 추정된다. Mutans streptococci is the major causative factor in dental caries. Especially, orthodontic patients with fixed appliance are a risk group for dental caries. Because fixed appliances attached on teeth may change the environment of dental plaque, the enamel decalcification or dental caries around the bracket and band is a major side effect of orthodontic treatment. The aim of this study was to search plant extracts that have antimicrobial effect on mutans streptococci. Seed-extract of Casio tora were prepared with ethanol and CHMC-2032, the leaf-extracts from Camellia sinensis extract, was obtained extract, 2 type strains and 20 clinical isolates of mutans streptococci isolated from the interface between orthodontic brackets and tooth surfaces in the orthodontic patients were used in this study. The minimal inhibitory concentration of CHMC-2032 was 5 mg/ml on the S. mutans KCTC 3065, S. sobrinus KCTC 3088, and 8 clinical isolates of S. sobrinus. However, there was no antibacterial effect of seed-extract of C. tora on mutans streptococci. These data suggest that green tea may be more effective than the tea prepared from C. tora in the prevention of enamel decalcification or dental caries around brackets.

        The purpose of this research was to examine the interrelations among learner-related variables(IQ, academic self-concept : Asc, school-related adjustment : Sad and academic achievement : Aa) (LRV), the mutual differences by levels of LRV and the effect of LRV on each variables. This research were investigated through the following problems. 1) What significant interrelation coefficients are there among learner-related variables(LRV : IQ, Asc, Sad, Aa)? 2) What significant differences are there between high and low level of LRV respectively and each learner's variables? 3) What the combined and relative effects are there LRV and LRV's subfactors on each variables? The subjects for this research were 627(M : 333, F : 294) and selected randomly from secondary school(Middle : 293, High : 334) in Seoul area. And instruments used for this research were 'Self-concept scale'(Kim, Y. R., & Koo, S. S., 1989), 'School-related adjustment scale'(Kim, Y. R., & Koo, S. S., 1991), 'Teacher-made test' and various kinds of 'Standardization intelligence test'. The collected data were processed simple correlation, differences and regression analysis through SPSS program. The major findings of this research were as follows : 1) The correlation coefficients between learner-related variables(IQ, Asc, Sad and Aa) and one variable among learner-related variables(LRV) were statistically significant positives as the range of .1885(IQ and Sad)~.6699(Asc and Sad)(p<.01) respectively, and especially the correlation Asc and Sad was the highest(r=.6699, p<.01). And the correlations IQ and Asc's sub-factors were statistically significant positive coefficients respectively as range of. 1842(Sgs)~.3489(Aas)(p<.01), and also correlation coefficient with Sad were .4156(Acs)~.7280(Sgs)(p<.01), with Aa were .2711(Sgs)~.5096(Acs)(p<.01). Besides, the correlations between Sad's sub-factors and IQ were as range of .1406(Sen)~.2072(Sin)(p<.01), and correlations with Aa were .1368(Sen)~.3138(Sin)(p<.01), With Asc were as range of .4082(Sfr)~.6388(Sin)(p<.01). 2) There was a significant difference in Asc and Sad's sub-factors(adjustment toward school life : Sli, adjustment toward school environment : Sen, adjustment toward school teacher : Ste, adjustment toward school instruction : Sin, adjustment toward school friend : Sfr) by sex and level of school. And male students were higher than female students in Aas, Ins, Acs and Sms among achievement self-concept : Acs, academic ability self-concept : Aas and subject-matter self-concept : Sms) and well adjusted than female students in Sen and Ste among Sad's sub-factors. And middle school students were higher than high school students in Sgs, Ins, Acs and Sms among Asc's sub-factors and well adjusted than high school students in Sli, Sen and Ste among Sad's sub-factors. On the other hand, the well adjusted learner was high in IQ, Aa and Aas, Sms, Ins and Sgs among Asc's sub-factors, and learner who got higher level Aa was high in Asc and well adjusted toward Sli, Sen, Sfr and Ste among Sad's sub-factors than others(p<.01). The R^2(combined effect) of LRV(Sad, Aa and IQ) on Asc was 55.35%, and there were significantly relative effects of LRV on Asc respectively(Sad : 44.88%, Aa : 10.47, p<.01). And there were significantly relative effects of Sad's sub-factors on Asc respectively(Sin : 40.81%, Ste : 8.30% and Sli : 1.09%), the combined effect(R^2) of these sub-factors on Asc was 50.20%. There were significantly relative effects of LRV on Sad respectively(Asc : 44.88%, Aa : 0.8%), and the combined effect if these variables on Sad was 45.76%. There were significantly relative effects of Asc's sub-factors on Sad respectively(Sgs : 53.00%, Ins : 6.99%, Sns : 0.66%), and the combined effect(R^2) of these variables on Sad was 60.65%. Finally, the R^2 of LRV(IQ, Sad, Asc) on Aa was 44.92%, and the relative effects were 37.02%(IQ), 7.30%(Asc) and 0.60%(Sad). And there were significantly relative effects of Acs(25.97%) and Sms(2.79%) among Asc's sub-factors, and only Sin(9.85%) among Sad's sub-factors on Aa.

        건설산업의 성과지수 개발을 위한 핵심성과지표 : 건설기업 대상 KPI를 중심으로

        The Performance Measurement in the construction industry is more important recently. Various researches about PMS (Performance Measurement Systems), such as the government-oriented PMS in U.K. have been done. As growing concern at new vision and target in the Korean construction industry, it is needed to manage the growth of the construction industry using performance measurement. The purpose of this study is to recommend the framework for development of PI(Performance Index) and KPIs(Key Performance Indicators) focusing on the Korean construction industry. First, the framework for development of PI is suggested through literature survey and studying cases performed in the U.K. Second, KPls are suggested through analyzing limitations and problems appeared in the existing researches, questionnaire survey, and interviews to verify and supplement limitations and problems. Finally, the validity of the proposed KPIs are validated by three case studies. This study also suggests the expected effects and further research fields.
