        학습자 자율성에 기초한 한국어 어휘 교육 사례 연구 : 인터넷 사전과 인터넷 자료 검색 과정을 중심으로

This is a case study about a vocabulary teaching method that is based on learners' autonomy in teaching Korean as a foreign language (TKFL). This process uses internet dictionaries and internet searching materials as a way to encourage learners' autonomy in teaching and learning vocabulary. The purpose of this research is to prove the effect of using internet dictionaries and materials on the use of vocabulary in speech and writing in Korean. The subjects are 11 students from 8 countries who are learning Korean as a foreign language in Korea and the data was collected for 10 weeks from March to June, 2002. This research uses both quantitative and qualitative research methods such as survey questionnaires, classroom observation, interviews and the analysis of speech and writing test results in order to show the results more objectively and in detail. The results prove that teaching and learning vocabulary using internet dictionaries and materials have a fairly positive effect on students' using vocabulary more 'diversely' and 'appropriately' in the area of speech and writing.         중합효소연쇄반응으로 조사한 관절염 환자의 관절액에서 Tropheryma whipplei DNA 검출

        목적 : Whipple병은 Tropheryma whipplei에 의한 전신적인 감염 질환으로 소장과 관절 침범이 특징이며, 흔히 병의 초기에는 수년 동안 다른 증상 없이 관절염 소견만 보이므로, 일부 환자는 염증성 관절염으로 진단받을 가능성이 있다. 또한 류마티스 관절염을 포함하여 여러 염증성 관절염에서는 아직 병인이 밝혀지지 않았지만 감염이 관련될 가능성은 꾸준히 언급이 되었다. 저자들은 국내에서도 T. whipplei가 존재할 것이라는 가정 하에 한국인에서 중합효소연쇄반응으로 T. whipplei DNA를 조사하였다. 재료 및 방법 : 대상 환자군은 1997년부터 2002년 사이에 인하대병원 류마티스 내과에 관절 종창으로 내원한 환자들로, 류마티스 관절염 환자 33명, 골관절염 환자 18명, 기타 질환에서 관절 이상인 환자들로 5명이 포함되었다. 건강한 성인 8명의 타액과 22명의 위내시경을 받은 환자의 위액을 채취하여 검사하였다. 중합효소연쇄반응은 T. whipplei heat shock protein의 일부 유전자를 증폭할 수 있는 2개의 시동체를 사용하였다. 표준 균주를 얻기가 어려워 양성 대조군 없이 중합효소연쇄반응을 시행하였다. 결과 : 관절염 환자의 관절액, 정상인의 타액, 위내시경을 받은 사람의 위액에서 모두 중합효소 연쇄반응으로 핵산을 증명할 수 없었다. 결론 : 양성대조군이 없어 검사 잘못일 가능성도 배제할 수 없으나, Whipple병이 염증성 관절염의 흔한 원인이 아니거나 관절의 직접 침범보다는 위장관 감염 후 생기는 면역 반응에 의한 반응성 관절염일 가능성이 있다. 관절액 이외의 검체에서 조사한다면 다른 결과를 얻을 수도 있으리라 생각하며 앞으로 이들에 대한 조사가 필요하다. Background : Whipple's disease is a chronic systemic infection caused by Tropheryma whipplei which chiefly involves gastrointestinal tract and joints. Because arthritis is often the first sign of Whipple's disease, Whipple's disease may be misdiagnosed in the early stage of illness as non-infectious inflammatory arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis may also be caused by infectious agents, including T. whipplei. To elucidate the relationship between T. whipplei infection and various arthritis, we examined T. whipplei DNA in Korean patients by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Materials and Methods : With two T. whipplei-specific primers dervied from the partial heat shock protein 65 gene sequence, PCR was performed on 56 joint fluid samples : 33 samples from RA patients, 18 samples from OA patients, and 5 samples from patients with other unflammatory arthritis. In addition, the same method was applied to find out the DNA of T. whipplei in 8 normal adults' saliva and 22 patients' gastric juice. Due to the difficulty in obtaining the reference strain of T. whipplei, the PCR was performed without the positive control. Results : The PCR method did not reveal T. whipplei in joint fluid from 56 patients with arthropathies, 8 samples from saliva, and 22 samples from gastric juice. Conclusion : Though technical errors can not be excluded as a cause of absence of a positive case, our results suggest that T. whipplei infection may not be a common cause of various arthritis in Korea; T. whipplei may be associated with inflammatory arthritis indirectly by immune-mediated mechanism rather than by direct joint invasion. The examination of specimens other than joint fluid could be helpful and the study of larger number of patient is highly desirable.

      • 교맥 에탄올 추출물의 멜라닌생성 억제효과

        The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of ethanol extract of Fagopyrum escuentum(FE) on the melanogenesis. To determine whether ethanol extract of FE suppress melanin synthesis in cellular level, B16F10 melanoma cells were cultured in the presence of different concentrations of FE ethanol extract. In the present study, the author examined the effects of FE ethanol extract on cell proliferation, melanin contents, tyrosinase activity. Cell proliferation was slightly increased by treatment with ethanol extract of FE (25-200 ㎍/ml). The ethanol extract of FE effectively suppressed melanin contents at a dose of 100 ㎍/ml. It was observed that the color of cell pellets was totally whitened compared with the control. The ethanol extract of FE inhibited tyrosinase activity, regulate melanin biosynthesis as the key enzyme in melanogenesis. These results suggest that the ethanol extract of FE exerts its depigmenting effects through the suppression of tyrosinase activity. And it may be a potent depigmetation agent in hyperpigmentation condition.

      • 혈청 감마지티(gamma glutamyl transferase)치와 대사증후군의 연관성

        Background: Serum gamma glutamyl transferase(GGT) level has been widely used as an index of liver dysfunction and a marker of alcohol intake. But, recently it is identified that the elevated GGT level was associated with insulin resistance. This study aimed to examine the association between metabolic syndrome and elevated GGT level in the women who had less alcoholic influence generally. Methods: From 585 women who received their annual health check-up, 577 women were selected for analysis except for 28 women who had hepatitis B surface antigen positive or antibody to hepatitis C virus positive, Categories of serum GGT were classified into four groups by quartile and then evaluated. Results: A abnormal GGT level(≥52U/L) was seen in 29(5.2%) of the 557 women. As GGT level increased, the prevalence rate of factors(body mass index≥25kg/m2, hypertension, hemoglobin≥14g/dL, total cholesterol≥220mg/dL, triglyceride≥150mg/dL, fasting plasma glucose≥110mg/dL, HDL-choles tero1<50mg/dL) except for hyperuhcemia was increased. The GGT level was correlated with age, body mass index, thglyceride and uric acid in women with fatty liver, but not in women without fatty liver. Factors independently contributing to elevated GGT level was diabetes, hyperthglycehdemia and obesity. Conclusion: The elevated, albeit normal, GGT level was strongly associated with the factors of metabolic syndrome in Korean women. Because measurement of serum GGT level is easy, reliable, and not expensive, it might have more important implication as predictive factor of metabolic syndrome.

        군대급식 표준식단중 수산물 이용 메뉴 분석 연구

        This was preliminary study that was to find out the developing point in military meal service to focus on seafood dishes that recently increased plate waste. This study was conducted to analyze menu patterns in military meal service. The result of this study was using to develop new seafood dishes in military meal service. On the basis of some findings, several developing points how to plan meals include many kinds of seafood dishes and to modify taste and cooking method that was more highly prefered by young military persons were suggested. This preliminary study findings were as follows: 1. Each meal was served cooked rice and 4 kinds of dishes(soup or stew, main dish, side dish and kimchi) 2. The seafood dishes was served as 28.6% in soup or stew, 35.0% in main dish and 36.4% in side dish of total serving of seafood dishes. 3. All of raw materials of seafood were supplied by frozen, several items were supplied dried material. Supplying seafood items were limited. Numbers of using seafood items were using 2.7 times per day. Laver and squid was most frequently used. 4. Seafood dishes were frequently serving in breakfast, especially seasoned & toasted laver was served 28.8% of seafood menu in breakfast because of convenience. 5. The nutrients contents of each dishes were as follows, the soup was 86.5±3.2㎉ and 10.9±8.9g of animal protein, stew was 165.3±70.2㎉ and 13.3±7.9g of animal protein. Nutrients content of other main dish and side dishes was different from 108.l㎉ (in steaming dish) to 412.4㎉ (in deep-fat frying dish) according to different cooking method. The highest animal protein dish that contented 18.9±5.1g of protein was pan-frying dish or grilling dish. Lowest one was 8.4±4.9g in braising dish. 6. Major cooking method of seafood was stew and the next was deep fat frying, stir-frying and braising. Pan-frying or grilling was seldomly used in military menu because of limitation of kitchen facilities and cooking utensils. On the basis of these findings, newly developing military seafood menus were focused on combination dish(such as seafood cooked rice or seafood fried rice) and many kinds of sauce that was applied to deep-fat frying dishes.

      • 당귀 추출물이 생쥐 유래 대식세포의 일산화질소 생산에 미치는 영향

        1. 당귀 물추출물 단독으로는 NO생성을 유도하지 못하였다. 2. 당귀 물추출물은 LPS 단독 또는 LPS와 IFN-γ에 의해 유도되는 NO생성을 증가시키지는 못하였다. 3. IFN-γ와 당귀 물추출물을 같이 처리하였을 경우 농도 의존적으로 NO생성을 유도하였다. 4. IFN-γ와 당귀 물추출물로 유도된 NO생성은 NOS 억제제인 ??에 의해 억제되었다. 5. 복강 대식 세포에서도 동일하게 IFN-γ와 당귀 물추출물의 NO생성에 대한 상승효과가 나타났다. In this study, the objective was to determene the effect of Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract on the production of nitric oxide(NO). Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract had no effect on NO synthesis by itself. However the stimulation of mouse macrophage cell line(RAW264.7) with Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract after the treatment of murine interferon-γ(mIFN-γ) resulted in increased NO synthesis. When Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract was used in combination with mIFN-γ, there was a marked co-operative induction of NO synthesis in a dose-dependent manner. The same results were obtained in the mouse peritoneal macrophages used. The optimal concentration of Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract on NO synthesis was shown 100㎍/mL with 100U/mL of mIFN-γ. NO synthesis was inhibited by ??-monomethyl-L-arginine. Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract was endotoxin free. Theses results suggest that Angelica gigantis Radix-water extract can induces NO synthesis of mouse macrophage cell line (RAW264.7) and peritoneal macrophages in combination with mIFN-γ
