        Disulfiram-Alcohol Reaction(DAR)에 의한 저혈압 1예

        Disulfiram, or antabuse, is used in the treatment of chronic alcoholism since it causes an unpleasant aversive reaction to alcohol. It works by inactivating hepatic aldehyde dehydrogenase, leading to a pronounced rise in the acetaldehyde concentration when ethanol is metabolized. Acetaldehyde causes alcohol sensitivity, which involves vasodilation associated with increased skin temperature, subjective feelings of hotness and facial flushing, increased heart and respiration rates, lowered blood pressure, a dry-mouth or throat sensation associated with bronchoconstriction and allergy reactions, nausea, and headache. One of its metabolites, diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) can inhibit the enzyme dopamine β-hydroxylase (DBH) through copper chelation. This may account for the profound refractory hypotension seen with the disulfiram-ethanol reaction (DAR), resulting from norepinephrine depletion. This report is presents the case of a patient we met, who presented with severe hypotension caused by the disulfiram-alcohol reaction, and along with a brief review of the subject.

      • 백화사설초 메탄올 추출물에 의한 HL-60 세포고사과정에 있어서의 transcriptional factors 활성변화 연구

        Objective : Hedyotis diffusa has been used as an arnicancer agent for several decades in oriental medicine. We test whether the methanol extract of the herb affects transcriptional activation factors including NF-κB and AP-l. Methods : 1. HL-60 cells were treated with various concentrations(from 200 to 50ug/ml) of methanol extract and H_2O extract(200ug/ml)of hedyotis diffusa, After 48h later, the cells were tested for viability by MTT assay. 2. The HL-60 cells were treated with 200ug/ml of methanol extract for the indicated periods. First. Nuclear extracts were isolated and incubated with oligonucleotide probe of NF-κB and AP-l. Second. Nuclear extracts were isolated and reacted with p50, p65. c-rel par-Jun, c-Jun, JunB. JunD antibody on ice for 30min. Finally The cell lnates were prepared and analyzed by westem blotting using anti-Fas, anti-FasL and anti-p53 antibdy. Results : l. The methanol extract decreases the viability of human lymphoid origin leukemia HL-60 cells in a dose-depemdemt manner. 2. NF-κB is rapidly activated by the addition of the methanol extract, reaches a peak at 30min and gradually returns to resting level. We confirm tha NF-κB is a heterodimer mainly composed of p65 subunit with c-Rel. 3. Transcriptional activation of AP-1 is detected at 30min and reaches a maximum at lhr after stimulation of the cells with the methanol extract. AP-l is mainly composed with Jur-D and partially Jug-B proteins. 4. the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa induces the expression of Fas, Fas ligand and p53 proteins of HL-60 cells in a time dependent fashion. Conclusions : These results suggest that the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa exerts anticancer effects to induce the death of human leukomic HL-60 cells via activation of trascriptional factors such a NF-κB and AP-1, increase in expression of Fas mediated signaling proteins, and induction of tumor suppressor gene. p53

        In order to obtain exact location information from the map which has different reference datum, we have to do coordinate transformation from other to reference coordinate system we use. In this paper, in order to evaluate accuracy between two maps have different ellipsoid, it is studied theory of map projection and coordinate transformation. Then, select maps about same area, select points which can be recognized on the maps for accuracy evaluation. After obtain coordinates about the points by TM projection and UTM projection, evaluated accuracy between TM coordinates, after to do Two-dimensional coordinate transformation, and after coordinate transformation from UTM to TM. As a result of this study, the maps which have different reference datum can be used if the exact transformation parameters can be obtained and applied.

        아임계 및 초임계수하의 p-Xylene 의 무촉매 부분 산화반응에서 반응조건이 Terephthalic acid 의 선택성에 미치는 영향

        아임계와 초임계수 매체하에서 p-xylene을 과산화수소에 의해 무촉매로 부분 산화시켜 terephthalic acid(TPA)를 제조하는가능성을 실험적으로 검토하였다. 회분식 반응실험을 통해 p-xylene의 새로운 산화 분해 경로를 제시하였다. 반응 시작 후 20분이 경과하였을 때 p-xylene의 전화율은 아임계수 조건에서 89.0% 이상이었고, 초임계수 조건에서는 99.0% 이상으로 온도가 높아질수록 증가하였다. TPA의 선택성은 초임계수 조건보다는 아임계수 조건에서 더 높았으며, 특히 온도 300 ℃, 압력 220 bar, 과산화수소 주입비 50%일 때 TPA수율은 29.0%로 최대값을 나타내었다. 또한 TPA 선택성에 미치는 압력의 영향은 초임계수보다는 아임계수 조건에서 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. The possibility of manufacturing the terephthalic acid(TPA) by partial oxidation of p-xylene without a catalyst in subcritical and supercritical water medium was investigated experimentally. The effects of reaction condition such as reaction temperature, pressure and hydrogen peroxide feed ratio on the conversion of p-xylene and the selectivity of TPA produced were investigated in batch reactor and new oxidation reaction pathway of p-xylene was proposed. Conversion of p-xylene was about 89.0% in subcritical condition and increased with the temperature increasing, over 99.0% in supercritical condition after 20 minutes from the start of reaction. The selectivity of TPA in subcritical conditions was higher than in supercritical conditions and the maximum value was 29.0% at 300 ℃, 220 bar, 50% H_2O_2 feed ratio. The pressure effect on TPA selectivity was higher at subcritical water condition than at the supercritical condition.

        The purpose of this study is to suggest the application strategies of POS for the competitiveness improvement of the small and medium retailers. It is studied POS system, the survey of the application degree of POS data and application strategies in the small and medium retailers. In the results of survey most of the small and medium retailers don't use POS data strategically in the side of promotion, item management, inventory management and ABC analysis, etc. To use effectively POS data, we suggest the preception of the importance of distribution information, the education of information, strategic application of POS data. Specially, it is needed to use positively POS data like as promotion management, item management, inventory management, lay-out management, distribution decision makings, etc. When the small and medium retailers use distribution information strategically, they are able to get competitiveness and survive in the distribution competitions.

        전기자극이 건의 치유에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험연구

        The mechanism of tendon healing has been a controversial issue. Although there seems to be a dipolarizing opinion regarding the tendon healing, it is well known to us that the tendon has both intrinsic and extrinsic healing capacity which has proved in vivo and in vitro studies. Tendon adhesion is a common sequella after tendon repair, particularly after the ling period of immobilization. This can be explained by one wound concept or extrinsic tendon healing. If we can modify the natural healing process of the tendon by augmenting the intrinsic capacity, we can reduce the period of immobilization to allow early motion for better gliding. in this study, we used the electrical stimulation technique, which has been known to have good growth stimulatory effect on the living cells, to investigate its effect on tendon healing in organic culture for 6 weeks. Total 64 flexor tendons were harvested from 8 rabbit paws and they were cultured in separate petri-dishes.: 32 tendons were used for the control group and the rest 32 were used for the electric stimulation group. Tendons through which a continuous 7 μAmp current was passed at the repair site were compared with the non stimulated controls. In reference to the histologic study with Hematoxylin ?? Eosin stain and van Gieson stain, the following results were obtained. 1. There was found no necrosis in the specimens of the control as well as the elctrical stimulation group during 6 weeks' culture period. 2. Starting from 1 week, there was prominent increase of fibroblastic proliferation and collagen production in electrical stimulation group and these active repair processes persisted up to 6 weeks. Accordingly, I conclude that the intrinsic tendon healing capacity can be enhanced by the electrical stimulation in vitro.
