According as the current needs of low temperature in semiconductor manufacturing process, PECVD using low temperature and high deposition rate is becoming more of a concern. However, PECVD equipment has the defect possibility on the interface between substrates and gate oxide layer, because ions or electrons with much high energy clash the interface. In this study, we embarked on the experiment with Statistical Design of Experiment and then also analyze which parameters influence on the characteristic of silicon dioxide filems. We finally made a constructive proposal for process optimization conditions.
놀이프로그램이 초등학교 학생들의 기초 체력에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a selected playing program on lower grade children' essential physical fitness. The subjects of this study were 76 second grade children at N Elementary School in Kochang, Chonbuk Province. Two of existing classes were employed as an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was consisted of 39 children(22 boys and 17 girls) and the control group was consisted of 37 children(23 boys and 14 girls). The nonquivalent control group design was used of for this study. The independent variable was a program of selected plays (20 minutes a day for 10 weeks) designed for a balanced development of children's physical fitness and the dependent variables were the 6 performance abilities: 1) standing broad jump for dynamic muscular strength(power), 2) sit-ups for muscular endurance, 3) 400 meter run for cardiovascular endurance, 4) Burpee test for agility, 5) one leg stand with closed eyes for balance, and 6) forward bend of trunk for flexibility. Data obtained were analyzed by ANCOVA. All statistical tests in this study were conducted at the .05 level of significance. The results were as follows: 1) Standing broad jump was significantly(p<.001) improved by the program. 2) Sit-ups were not significantly improved by the program. 3) 400 meter run was not significantly improved by the program. 4) Burpee test was not significantly improved by the program. 5) One leg stand with closed eyes was significantly(p<.01) improved by the program. 6) Forward bend of trunk was not significantly improved by the program.
반응표면분석을 통한 SU-8 포토레지스트의 특성 및 최적화

SU-8 is a epoxy based photoresist designed for MEMS applications, where a thick, chemically and thermally stable image is desired. But SU-8 has proven to be very sensitive to variation in processing variables and hence difficult to use in the fabrication of useful structures. In this paper, negative SU-8 photoresist processed has been characterized in terms of delamination. Based on a full factorial designed experiment. Employing the design of experiment (DOE), a process parameter is established, and analyzing of full factorial design is generated to investigate degree of delamination associated with three process parameters: PEB (Post Exposure Bake) temperature, PEB time, and exposure energy. These results identify acceptable ranges of the three process variables to avoid delamination of SU-8 film, which in turn might lead to potential defects in MEMS device fabrication.
Xanthine oxidase 활성 및 형전환에 미치는 구리이온의 영향

Copper intoxication and disturbance of copper metabolism induced various oxygen-derived free radicals related damages. The effect of copper ion on xanthine oxidase activity and type conversion of the enzyme which is concerned to generation of reactive oxygen species, was investigated. It was observed that xanthine oxidase activity was increased by addition of copper ion in the reaction mixture in proportional to the concentration of the metal ion until 60 μM, while the enzyme activity was inhibited in higher concentration of copper treatment. On the other hand, xanthine dehydrogenase activity was inhibited by copper ion addition with concentration dependently. Preincubation of enzyme source with 30 μM of copper ion, which concentration marked increased the xanthine oxidase activity, unchanged the enzyme activity and type conversion compare to control in vitro system. It was also observed that copper induced xanthine oxidase activity and the enzyme type conversion was protected by dithiothreitol and penicillamine. These results indicate that the increment of the type conversion of xanthine oxidase necessarilly need the presence of copper ion in enzyme assay system.

A humidity sensor using porous silicon layer as humidity-sensing material is developed. Its structure was designed monolithically to be compatible to the integrated circuit technology, and the porous silicon layer was formed on p-type wafers with the low resistivity of 0.01 Ωcm to be stable mechanically. Proto-type sensors were fabricated using processes such as localized formation of porous silicon, oxidation of porous silicon layer, and etching of oxidized porous silicon layer. The dependence of capacitance on relative humidity was measured at room temperature, where the capacitance increased from 0.3 nF to 1nF for the relative humidity of 55 to 90% over.
Some Partial Orders Describing Positive Aging

The concepy of positive aging describles the adverse effects of age on the lifetime of units. Various aspects of this concepts are described in terms of conditional probability distribution of residual life times, failure rates, equilibrium distributions, etc. In this paper we will consider some partial ordering relations of life distribution under residual life functions and equilibrium distributions.
Preservation of Some Partial Ordering under Formation of k-out-of-n Systems of Like components

In this paper, we shall convey preservation of some partial orderings and closures of some positive ageing classes under k-out-of-n systems of like components. That is, if the life time of a component A is larger than that of a component B in any of the NBU, DMRL, WBUE, HNBUE, NBUFR and NBUFRA orderings, then a k-out-of-n system formed by i.i.d. components of type A has larger life time, in that ordering, than that of a similar system consisting of n i.i.d. components type of B. And using these partial orderings, closures of positive aging classes(NBU, DMRL, NBUE, HNBUE, NBUFR and NBUFRA) under the coherent system like components.

Background/Aims: Endoscopic mucosal resection can cure early gastric cancer. The risk of lymphatic metastasis is related to the depth of submucosal invasion by the mucosal malignancy, with a resection depth of 500 μm generally accepted as a safe cut-off. However, excessive thinning induced by stretching of the resected tissue sometimes preventing a precise diagnosis. We studied the effects of stretching on different layers and sites of gastric tissue. Methods: Porcine stomachs were cut into 2.0×2.0 cm pieces, and pieces from body were stretched to 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 cm. Pieces from the cardia, body, and antrum were also stretched to 3.0 cm. The thickness of each layer was measured and analyzed statistically. Results: Whole gastric wall and submucosal layers showed gradual thinning, with stretching to 3.5 cm tearing the tissues and resulting in imperfect extension. The submucosa was thinner in body tissue than in cardia and antrum tissues. Stretching to 3.0 cm induced a consistent decrease in submucosal thickness (30-70%). The change in thickness varied widely between individual samples. Conclusions: A resection margin of 500μm might be insufficient for the complete removal of malignancy. Moreover, the thickness of the submucosal layer differs with the gastric site and between individuals. Future studies are needed to confirm the findings in human tissue. Cognitive Radio is an advanced enabling technology for the efficient utilization of vacant spectrum due to its ability to sense the spectrum environment. It is important to determine accurate spectrum utilization of the primary system in a cognitive radio environment. In order to define the spectrum utilization state, many CR systems use what is known as the quiet period (QP) method. However, even when using a QP, interference can occur. This causes reduced system throughput and contrary to the basic condition of cognitive radio. In order to reduce the interference time, a frequency-hopping algorithm is proposed here. Additionally, to complement the loss of throughput in the FH, a HMM-based channel prediction algorithm and a channel allocation algorithm is proposed. Simulations were conducted while varying several parameters. The findings show that the proposed algorithm outperforms conventional channel allocation algorithms.
