      • 植物凝集素 Celosia argentea L. 및 개赤血球에 의한 사람 血淸形에 關한 硏究

        The author attempted to study ax a new classification of human sera by their inhibition properties on the agglutinating activities of C. argentea extract, which was prepared in the usual manner, to dog red blood cells. At the same time, the bloodstains and serumstains were used in the experiment to compare with the result that whole blood and fresh sera brought about. As demonstrated, the dog red blood cells were all agglutinated by Celosia phytagglutinin. Among 486 sera specimens, tested, 65 cases(l3%) inhibited the agglutination while the remaining 421 cases(87%) didn't Compared with the results of other experiments, it was proved that the serum type determinant that inhibited the agglutination of the dog red blood cells was different from other sera or blood type determinants such as ABO, H, Cl, MN, Cea, WCea, CCI or PVI etc. There were no marked changes of agglutination inhibiting factors after blood or sera dried up demonstrated in the experiment with dried blood or sera residues. So this may be available for individual identification especially in the field of legal medicine by determination of serum types.

      • Er:YAG laser를 조사한 치근면의 변화에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to evaluate the usability of Er:YAG laser for periodontal therapy. Forty dental root slabs (5x5x2mm^3) were prepared from human periodontally discased extracted teeth and grouped into 4 groups. 1)control (root planing only). 2)root planing and irradiated with laser at 30mJ. 3)root planing and irradiated with laser at 60mJ. and 4)root planing and irradiated with laser at 100mJ. The root slabs were embedded in resin block before laser treatment. Er:YAG laser was irradiated under water irrigation with the tip held perpendicular to the root surface in contact mode, After Er:YAG laser Irradiation or planing on the root surface, morphological changes have been observed under SEM, and the micro-hardness and Ca/P ratio were compared. 1. In the control group. the root surface showed the directional change caused by root planing instrumentation, and the presence of smear layer, and no exposure of dentinal tubule was observed. Laser irradiated group showed surface changes with rough dentin surface of niche and depression and dentinal tubule exposure by the elimination of smear layer. 2. The micro-hardness of root surface in the laser irradiated group was higher than the control group. The higher energy output was applied. the higher micro-hardness on root surface was resulted. 3. The higher energy output was applied, the higher Ca/P ratio was observed. The higher Ca/P ratio in 60mJ group and 100mJ group was statistically significantly compared to the control gloup and the 30mJ group These results suggest that Er:YAG laser Irradiation on the periodontally diseased root surface could remove smear layer and increase the micro-hardness on root surface and Ca/P ratio which contribute to enhance the acid resistance of periodontally treated root surface.

        The software consists of GUI module for windows environment on PC and section property calculation module. User selects the section type in menu for beam library on window and inputs the shape data using dialog box displayed by GUI module. The calculation module calculates its properties such as area, centroid, moment of inertia, torsional constant, etc.. By using the developed software, the time for calculation, conversion and management of data can be reduced and it is able to promote the efficiency of analysis and design takes. In this paper described is the software developed to calculate the physical properties of typical beam section.

      • Green함수법을 이용한 항내정온도 해석

        In this study, Green function method which calculates wave heights in harbor with constant depth is examined and the numerical model using by this method is applied. A computation of numerical model in huge harbor or sea area generally needs a long run-time. Green function method which has an effect of reducing run-time is applied to sea area in Saemankum and verified by comparing the results with those of other numerical model and hydraulic model experiment.

      • 汎 마우스 植物凝集素로 分類된 사람 血淸型에 關한 硏究

        Since the introduction of phytagglutinin(PHA) by Stillmark in 1888, there have been a lot of research works on PHA by many investigators. Recently the utilization of PHA in the medical or medicolegal field is increaing, especially as a lectin for the blood grouping, as a mitogen for the artificial culture of human cells and as a determinant of the receptor specificity of various tumor cells. In this study were carried out agglutination tests of mouse red blood cells by three PHAs -A. plantago L., T. kirilowii Max. and C. Chamlagu Lam. -and by 1353 human sera And human sera were also examined whether or not they inhibit the agglutination activities of the three PHAs with the mouse red blood cells. The results could be summarized as follows. 1. Any of the PHAs could agglutinate mouse red blood cells, so the PHAs are called pan-mouse PHAs. 2. The human sera were classified into two types by their agglutination activities to mouse red blood cells. 3 The human sera were also classified into two types by their agglutination inhibition properties to pan·mouse PHAs. 4. Statistically it was demonstrated that there is a close relationship between the serum types classified by agglutination activities to mouse red blood cells and the serum types classified by agglutination inhibition properties to pan-mouse PHAs. 5. It was also demonstrated that the agglutination substance to mouse red blood cells and agglutination inhibition substance to pan-mouse PHAs in human sera are quite different each other and exist independently. 6. This experimental study suggested that agglutination inhibition substance to pan-mouse PHAs exists in all human sera and the classification of serum types by agglutionation inhibition properties to pan-mouse PHAs is influenced by existence of agglutionation substance to mouse red blood cells in human sera.

        약물을 이용한 의식진정시 발생한 부작용에 대한 치험례

        The patients visiting pediatric dental office have been being younger than the previous, and they were often combined with systemic disease. But, we aren't able to perform the verbal communication, because of their impediment and youthfullness. And, we can't carry out the behavior control via physical restraint, as the developed social structure and the attitude of children and their parents. So, the importance and concerning of conscious sedation using sedative medicine are increased by time and time. Among the various conscious sedation, Chloral Hydrate and Nitrous Oxide inhalation are most popularly used, and barbiturates, benzodiazepine, opioids and hydroxyzine are used often. But, these medications have some side-effects and adverse reactions, may be failed to sedate the children. And limited use of medically compromised patients, especially for ASA class Ⅲ, Ⅳ or more dangerous patients. We, the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Chosun University have met some dangerous situation due to unfavorable pharmacogenic reactions, but we can control the situation and get well healed results. The below results are common situations and their solutions during conscious sedation. 1. By the intravenous administration, thrombophlebitis is the most common side-effects, but it may be healed with time without any special treatment. 2. Under the definitive guidelines about conscious-sedation, we can perform a safe conscious sedation for ASA class Ⅲ patients. 3. When adversed reaction of Benzodiazepine is occured, it could be cared effectively with benzodiazepine antagonist, named Flumazenil.
