Down-regulated MYH11 Expression Correlates with Poor Prognosis in Stage II and III Colorectal Cancer

The MYH11 gene may be related to cell migration and adhesion, intracellular transport, and signal transduction. However, its relationship with prognosis is still uncertain. The aim of this study was to investigate correlations between MYH11 gene expression and prognosis in 58 patients with stage II and III colorectal cancer. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was performed in fresh CRC tissues to examine mRNA expression, and immunohistochemistry was performed with paraffin-embedded specimens for protein expression. On univariate analysis, MYH11 expression at both mRNA and protein levels, perineural invasion and lymphovascular invasion were related to disease-free survival (p<0.05; log-rank test). Cancers with lower MYH11 expression were more likely to have a poor prognosis. Otherwise, MYH11 expression was unrelated to patient clinicopathological features. On multivariate analysis, low MYH11 expression proved to be an independent adverse prognosticator (p<0.05). These findings show that MYH11 can contribute to predicting prognosis in stage II and III colorectal cancers.
Behavioral Analysis Zero-Trust Architecture Relying on Adaptive Multifactor and Threat Determination

For effectively lowering down the risk of cyber threating, the zero-trust architecture (ZTA) has been gradually deployed to the fields of smart city, Internet of Things, and cloud computing. The main concept of ZTA is to maintain a distrustful attitude towards all devices, identities, and communication requests, which only offering the minimum access and validity. Unfortunately, adopting the most secure and complex multifactor authentication has brought enterprise and employee a troublesome and unfriendly burden. Thus, authors aim to incorporate machine learning technology to build an employee behavior analysis ZTA. The new framework is characterized by the ability of adjusting the difficulty of identity verification through the user behavioral patterns and the risk degree of the resource. In particular, three key factors, including one-time password, face feature, and authorization code, have been applied to design the adaptive multifactor continuous authentication system. Simulations have demonstrated that the new work can eliminate the necessity of maintaining a heavy authentication and ensure an employee-friendly experience.
국가이미지가 농산물의 선호도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 -중국산 농산물을 중심으로-

1. 국가이미지의 측정항목에 대한 요인분석 결과 국가이미지를 가격이미지, 품질이미지, 환경이미지, 경제이미지, 사회이미지 등의 다섯가지 요인으로 명명하였다. 측정 각 항목의 신뢰도는 모두 0.6 이상으로 만족할 만한 수준으로 나타났다. 2. 국가이미지와 제품선호도 간의 영향관계를 알아보고자 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 국가이미지의 하위요인중 품질이미지만이 제품선호도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 국가이미지와 구매의도 간의 영향관계를 알아보고자 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 국가이미지의 하위요인중 품질이미지와 경제이미지가 구매의도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 제품선호도와 구매의도간의 영향관계를 알아보고자 단순회귀분석을 실시한 결과 제품선호도는 구매의도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. Without a realistic understanding of a region, consumers are open to having media and other information outlets influence their perceptions of a country and its products. This is the same phenomenon that is observed when consumers form a prejudice towards any goods prior to purchase. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of country image on the agricultural products preference and purchasing intention of Korean customer towards Chinese agricultural products. After a survey focused on attitudes towards Chinese agricultural products was conducted, factor analysis was used to divide the concept of country image into five factors: price image, quality image, social image, environmental image and economic image. Using these five factors, multiple regression analysis was conducted to understand the understand how product preference and purchase intention influence each other between products preference and purchase intention. The results demonstrated that country image positively or negatively influenced customer preference and purchase intention. This result implies that promoting a positive country image, particularly around product quality and economic image, would be advantageous in the exporting of agricultural products. Therefore, when establishing strategies to export a country’s agricultural products, increasing the country’s product quality and economic images on the international level needs to be considered.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to assess the value of ovarian ablation using goserelin inpremenopausal patients with stage II/III hormone receptor-positive breast cancer withoutchemotherapy-induced amenorrhea (CIA). Materials and MethodsWe retrospectively reviewed the data of breast patients treated between October 1999 andNovember 2007 without CIA. The Kaplan-Meier method was used for calculation of thesurvival rate. Log rank method and Cox regression analysis were used for univariate andmultivariate prognostic analysis. ResultsThe median follow-up period was 61 months. Initially, 353 patients remained without CIAafter chemotherapy and 98 among those who received goserelin and tamoxifen (TAM). Inunivariate analysis, goserelin improved locoregional recurrence-free survival (LRFS) (98.9%vs. 94.1%, p=0.041), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) (85.4% vs. 71.9%, p=0.006),disease-free survival (DFS) (85.4% vs. 71.6%, p=0.005), and overall survival (OS) (93.5%vs. 83.5%, p=0.010). In multivariate analysis, goserelin treatment was an independentfactor influencing DMFS (hazard ratio [HR], 1.603; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.228 to2.092; p=0.001), DFS (HR, 1.606; 95% CI, 1.231 to 2.096; p=0.001), and OS (HR, 3.311;95% CI, 1.416 to 7.742; p=0.006). In addition, treatment with goserelin resulted in significantlyimproved LRFS (p=0.039), DMFS (p=0.043), DFS (p=0.036), and OS (p=0.010) inpatients aged < 40 years. In patients aged 40 years, goserelin only improved DMFS(p=0.028) and DFS (p=0.027). ConclusionOvarian ablation with goserelin plus TAM resulted in significantly improved therapeuticefficacy in premenopausal patients with stage II/III hormone receptor-positive breast cancerwithout CIA.

The notions of FSI-ideals and FSC-ideals in BCI-algebras are introduced. The characterization properties of FSI-ideals and FSC-ideals are obtained. We investigate the relations between FSI-ideals (resp. FSC-ideals) and other fuzzy ideals, between FSI-ideals (resp. FSC-ideals) and BCI-algebras, and show that a fuzzy subset of a BCI-algebra is an FSI-ideal if and only if it is both an FSC-ideal and a fuzzy BCI-positive implicative ideal.

β-Lapachone has drawn increasing attention as an anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer drug. However, its oral bioavailability has not been yet assessed, which might be useful to develop efficient dosage forms possibly required for non-clinical and clinical studies and future market. The aim of the present study was thus to investigate pharmacokinetic properties of β-lapachone as well as its first-pass metabolism in the liver, and small and large intestines after oral administration to measure the absolute bioavailability in rats. A sensitive HPLC method was developed to evaluate levels of β-lapachone in plasma and organ homogenates. The drug degradation profiles were examined in plasma to assess the stability of the drug and in liver and intestinal homogenates to evaluate first-pass metabolism. Pharmacokinetic profiles were obtained after oral and intravenous administration of β-lapachone at doses of 40 mg/kg and 1.5 mg/kg, respectively. The measured oral bioavailability of β-lapachone was 15.5%. The considerable degradation of β-lapachone was seen in the organ homogenates but the drug was quite stable in plasma. In conclusion, we suggest that the fairly low oral bioavailability of β-lapachone may be resulted from the first-pass metabolic degradation of β-lapachone in the liver, small and large intestinal tracts and its low aqueous solubility.
