AKARI MID- TO FAR-INFRARED OBSERVATIONS OF DIFFUSE GALACTIC EMISSION
Sakon, I.,Onaka, T.,Mori, T.I.,Ohsawa, R.,Doi, Y.,Okada, Y.,Kaneda, H.,Ootsubo, T. The Korean Astronomical Society 2012 天文學論叢 Vol.27 No.4
We have collected dozens of mid-infrared spectra showing UIR bands from diffuse Galactic emitting regions with the AKARI's Infrared Camera (IRC) onboard AKARI, as part of the ISMGN Mission Program. The datasets cover various directions in the inner Galactic Plane ($|l|$ < 70 deg), in the outer Galactic Plane ($|l|$ > 70 deg), and in the off-Plane ($|b|$ > 2 deg). The variations in the UIR band ratios are examined in terms of the radiation environments judged from the far-infrared ($50-170{\mu}m$) spectral energy distribution (SED) made with AKARI/FIS All Sky Survey data at each slit position where mid-IR spectra were obtained. We have found that the band ratios of $6.2{\mu}m/11.2{\mu}m$ and $7.7{\mu}m/11.2{\mu}m$ toward the inner Galaxy are systematically higher than those toward the outer Galaxy and off the Galactic plane. Likely causes of the variations in properties of UIR bands in diffuse emission on a Galactic scale are discussed in this paper.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films were deposited on glass substrates by filtered cathodic vacuum arc system (lab-made) forvarious number of pulse modes at -50 VDC, and followed by 450 oC annealing in air for 1 hr. The deposition pulses were 500-2,000 pulses and the anatase film thickness was 13.0-37.5 nm. In this research, the roughness was increased with the increasingin the number of deposition pulses and film thickness. The transmission at 600 nm wavelength was 65-85%, decreasing withthe film thickness, and the optical energy gap was in the range of 3.55-3.65 eV
SPECTRAL EVOLUTION OF NOVAE IN THE NEAR-INFRARED BASED ON AKARI OBSERVATIONS

We have carried out the near-infrared spectroscopic observations of recent classical novae (e.g., V2468Cyg, V1280Sco) within a few years from the outburst with AKARI as a part of AKARI Open Time Observing Program for Phase 3-II "Spectral Evolution of Novae in the Near-Infrared based on AKARI Observations (Proposal ID: SENNA)". The homogeneous datasets of near-infrared spectra from 2.5 $\mu$m to 5 $\mu$m with AKARI/IRC collected in this program are useful to infer the physical conditions of the shell formed by the ejected materials, to examine the chemical properties of the ejecta gas, and to examine the properties of dust formed in the nova ejecta.

Our understanding of dust emission, interaction, and evolution, is evolving. In recent years, electric dipole emission by spinning dust has been suggested to explain the anomalous microwave excess (AME), appearing between 10 and 90 Ghz. The observed frequencies suggest that spinning grains should be on the order of 10nm in size, hinting at polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon molecules (PAHs). We present data from the AKARI/Infrared Camera (IRC) due to its high sensitivity to the PAH bands. By inspecting the IRC data for a few AME regions, we find a preliminary indication that regions well-fitted by a spinning-dust model have a higher 9~$\mu$m than 18~$\mu$m intensity vs. non-spinning-dust regions. Ongoing efforts to improve the analysis by using DustEM and including data from the AKARI Far Infrared Surveyor (FIS), IRAS, and Planck High Frequency Instrument (HFI) are described.

The difference between the rice price at the harvest time and that at the post-harvest time should be interest cost, storage cost and so on if the rice market is perfectly competitive. It is estimated by almost 7∼12% in a competitive market. The recent difference in seasonal prices appears less than 2%. It shows that the market is not competitive and government controls the market price through the its inventories. It distorts the Korean rice market. This paper suggests that government sets the proper level of its inventory and, first of all, the restriction of land uses should be relaxed to avoid the excess production of rice.
INTERSTELLAR DUST IN M51 FROM IRC IMAGES
Egusa, Fumi,Sakon, I.,Onaka, T.,Matsuhara, H.,Arimatsu, K.,Suzuki, T.,Wada, T.,The IRC team, The IRC team The Korean Astronomical Society 2012 天文學論叢 Vol.27 No.4
We present the IRC images of M51, a pair of interacting galaxies. Given the high angular resolution (7.4") and the wide field of view (~ 10') covering almost the entire M51 system, we investigate dust properties and their connection to the spiral arm structure. We have applied image-filtering processes including the wavelet analysis to the N3 image, which traces the total stellar mass best among the IRC bands. From this filtered image, the center, arm, and interarm regions are defined. A color, or flux ratio among the MIR bands, has been measured at each pixel (3.7" in size). We find a wide variety of S7/S11 with a difference between arm and interarm regions. We also find that at some positions S11 seems to be higher than predicted by MW dust models. Estimated contributions from the stellar continuum and gas emission lines to the band are not enough to explain this discrepancy. From these results, we deduce that the PAH ionization condition and its fraction to the total dust mass in M51 are different from those in MW.
Instantaneous Temporal Parts and Time Travel
김세화,Takeshi Sakon 한국논리학회 2017 論理硏究 Vol.20 No.1
The standard definition of an instantaneous temporal part cannot properly deal with cases involving time travel. This paper provides a new definition of an instantaneous temporal part by appealing to David Lewis's distinction between external time and personal time. The new definition avoids the problems because it does not allow more than one instantaneous temporal part of an object at each moment of its personal time. We argue that this new definition, combined with our new perdurantist semantic thesis, deals with cases of time travel successfully.
