        모낭의 하부 1/2을 이식시 모낭의 재생

        We have examined the regenerative capabilities of the human scalp hair follicle after grafting the lower half of the follicle. Twenty-eight of 32 intact whole-hair follicles isolated from the human scalp regenerated hairs when grafted onto the forehead of the same person. Seven of the 15 lower-half follicles regenerated complete hair follicles 8 months after grafting showed that the lower-half follicle implant reconstituted the complete hair follicle. The sebaceous gland was not regenerated, but there was an outgrowth in the sebaceous gland region. Some grafts formed epithelial cysts. Two years after grafting, the histological examination of the regenerated follicle from the lower-half implant showed that the sebaceous gland was completely regenerated. While an intact follicle shows prominent naked shaft outgrowth, the sheath grows concomitantly with the shaft in lower-half follicles in culture. If grafted lower-half follicles were located too deep, the regrown sheath could not reach the epidermal layer. In this situation, the formation of an epidermal cyst was likely.

        Abstract - There are various methods to join mechanical structures together. They typically include welding, mechanical joints by bolts and other processes depending on specific needs. Analyses of joints in the mechanical structures are essential in understanding the dynamic characteristics of the structures. In this research an impulse technique is applies to investigate the dynamic behavior of joints produced by bolts. The length of overlap in the joints was varied as the number of the bolts in the joints was changed. Also, the torque applied to the bolts were adjusted. Resonance frequencies were determined for the joints to evaluate the relationship between the increase in the applied torque and the increase in the number of bolts used in the joints. The results have demonstrated that the resonance frequencies of the joints increase with the increasing torque.

        Insect fauna of Mt. Hallasan was investigated along the climbing course of Kwanum Temple. Total of 400 species belong to the 103 families, 14 orders was identified and enumerated. Among them, five species, Menida violacea of Pentatomidae (Hemiptera), Episcuphu gorhamj of Erotylidae, Circopes suturulis of Nitidulidae, Chrysunthia integricollis of Oedemeridae, and Noturis oryzae of Curculionidae (Coleoptera) were new to the Jeju fauna. The composition of species number of each order was comparative to that of Jeju Island. These results may reflect that the natural environment of Kwaneum Temple area is relatively specific on this island and well conserved.

        Objectives: Metabolic acidosis frequently develops in patients after neobladder reconstruction. However, the incidence of metabolic acidosis in patients with neobladder and the factors associated with the development of metabolic acidosis have not been well elucidated. We aimed to investigate the incidence and the potential predictors for the development of metabolic acidosis after neobladder reconstruction with intestinal segment. Methods: We included patients who underwent neobladder reconstruction using intestinal segment at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2014. A subgroup of patients according to the time of metabolic acidosis occurrence was further analyzed in order to characterize predictors for metabolic acidosis. Results: Metabolic acidosis was encountered in 79.4% of patients with neobladder during follow up period. When patients were divided into 2 groups according to anion gap (AG), total CO2 (18.9±2.1 mEq/L vs. 20.0±1.3 mEq/L, P=0.001) and chloride (106.6±4.9 mE/L vs. 109.4±3.6 mEq/L, P<0.001) were significant different between groups with AG>12 and AG≤12. Furthermore, when patients were divided into 3 groups; patients with metabolic acidosis at postoperative day (POD) 1; from POD 2 to 14 days; after 14 days, there was significant difference among those subgroups. Conclusion: Our study showed the rate of metabolic acidosis in patients underwent neobladder reconstruction and the difference between patients with metabolic acidosis and those without metabolic acidosis for the first time in Korea. In the future, well designed prospective study will be needed to prevent metabolic acidosis after neobladder reconstruction.

        This study was aimed to investigate the effects of Azalea pollen on Blood sugar levels and enzyme activities induced by alloxan in rats. The blood sugar and enzyme activities were measured by spectrophotometry. The result were obtained as follows : 1. Azalea pollen restrained the increase of blood sugar by alloxan in rats. 2. Transaminase, lactate dehydrogenase and alkaline phosphatase level in blood were affected : alloxan-induced abnormal increase were restrained by Azalea pollen.

      • 반복치료로 호전된 호산구성 폐렴 유사 폐흡충증 1예

        우리나라에서 인기 있는 게장등의 섭취로2) 성인뿐만 아니라 소아에서도 지속적으로 보고되고 있는 폐흡충증은 다양한 임상양상을 보일 수 있다. 저자들은 방사선 소견상 만성 호산구성 폐렴과 유사하였고, 반복적인 치료로 호전된 폐흡충증 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Paragonimiasis mostly occurs by ingestion of raw or undercooked freshwater crabs or crayfish. Recently, re-emergence of paragonimiasis is reported because of ingestion of raw food such as freshwater fish and Gejang (marinated raw crabs). As the radiological features as well as the laboratory findings are similar to those of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, the diagnosis of pulmonary paragonimiasis is often difficult and delayed. A 43 year-old female was visited our hospital for migrating and new developing consolidative lung lesions and peripheral blood eosinophilia. The eosinophil profile of leukocyte was 32% (absolute count 2,690 /mm3). Histologic finding was organizing pneumonia pattern with severe infiltration of eosinophils. Parasite specific antibody IgG forParagonimus westermani was positive (titer:0.61, normal range<0.20). After treatment with praziquantel (75mg/Kg once a day for 2days), the chest x-ray was clearly resolved. Follow-up study showed right pleural effusion, newly developed focal infiltration, and several nodules. After retreatment, we couldn't find any recurrent evidence.

        A 11-year-old Yorkshire terrier anesthetized for computed tomography. The dog showed cyanosis and syncope during postanesthetic recovery, therefore drug administrated parenterally. Goose-honking was noticed after full recovery. As a result of survey radiography and fluoroscopy, grade 4 tracheal collapse was diagnosed. Prescription for the dog was oral administration of hydrocodone 0.22 mg/kg. theophylline 20 mg/kg, prednisone 0.5 mg/kg, amoxicillin 22 mg/kg and chlorpheniramine 2 mg/kg twice a day for 3 days. A 10-year-old Pomeranian was diagnosed as grade 2 traceal collapse at the local animal hospital 2 years before being referred to the veterinary teaching hospital of Chungnam National University. On physical examination, goose-honking, coughing and intermittent open-mouth breathing. Tracheal narrowing was observed on survey einradiography and fluoroscopy. Oral administration of theophylline 13 mg/kg, enrofloxacin 5 mg/kg, chlropheniramine 0.5 mg/kg twice a day was prescribed for 2 weeks.

      • 단거리 선수의 수행수준 차이에 따른 생리학적 변인의 특성

        The purpose of this study was to compare physiological characteristics of three different levels of 100m female sprints. the 30 subjects in this study were assigned, according to their 100m running time, to one of three different group: fast, average, slow. All subjects were tested for performance in the Wingate anaerobic test, strength, fat %, reaction time, flexibility, aerobic power. The data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA with post-hoc Turkey test, which was performed on each variable to find difference between the groups. The ANOVA indicated significient differences among all three groups for performance in the Wingate anaerobic test and relative strength. The dofferences in reaction time were significient only between thr fast and the average groups. Significient and negative correlation were found between thew 100m running time, relative strength, and performance in the Wingate anaerobic test. Significient and pogitive correlation were found between running time, % fat. No significient correlation were found between running time and peak ?? reaction time and fiexibility. Stepwise regression analysis indicated that the combination of performance in the Wingate anaerobic test and strength providedthe most efficient(r=0.92) prediction of 100m run times. This study demonstrated that the main difference among female sprinters of different performance levels lies in their ability to, produce muscular power, strength.

      • 유한요소법을 이용한 볼트결합 구조부의 조건에 따른 동적변화 해석

        To join structure together, various methods and processes are available including welding, riveting, bonding with industrial adhesives and fastening by bolts. Analysis of the common areas formed by joining between the structure are significant in that their results can provide critical information for understanding the dynamic behavior of the whole structure. The structural factors affecting the dynamic behavior of the joined structures are usually believed to be materials composing the bolts, bolt sizes and the number of bolts as well as the strength of applied torque and the extent of overlap between the structures joined together. This paper analyzes the impacts of the structural factors such as the bolt sizes, the extent of overlap and the materials composing the structures on the dynamic behavior of the joined structures.
