Based on Experimental analysis, the characteristics of back pressure in automotive exhaust system is tested for 4-stroke gasoline engine. The back pressure in automotive exhaust system is generated by resistance working of exhaust system, i.e. exhaust manifold, pipe length, pipe banding, difference system pressure with atmospheric pressure. This paper contains experimental results which are tested for the change of exhaust pipe length and torque change are tested under experimental conditions.

별불가사리(Asteriaa pectinifera) 렉틴의 사이토카인 생성 양상

The purpose of this study is to define whether Asterina pectinifera Lectin (APL) is effective on the cytokine production. Isolated mRNA from hPBMC (human peripheral blood mononuclear cells) stimulated with APL for various reaction times (1 to 96 hours) was detected by RT-PCR. The intensity of band for IL-1 and IFNα mRNA was markedly increased at 1 hour, and IL-2 mRNA was strongly expressedat 4 hours. The mRNA band of APL-induced IL-2 and TFNα was weaker than that of IL-1, IL-6 and TNFα. The mRNA expression of 4 cytokines (IL-1, IL-2, IFN?? and TNFα) was detected up to 48 hours, and that of IL-6 was detected until 72 hours. ELISA was used to look protein secretion of the cytokine gene with IL-1, IL-2 and TNFα expressed strongly in RT-PCR. The highest protein secretion was at 4 hours with IL-1, at 8 hours with IL-2 and at 4 hours with TNFα. These results suggest that APL can induce the pro-duction of some cytokines and the immune response from PBMC was done within the first few hours of stimulation with APL.

한천을 이용한 녹차 젤리에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality and sensory characteristics of green tea powder jelly. A central composite design involving green tea powder(5-15g) and sucrose(30-90g) was used to find the optimal condition of green tea powder jelly. Sensory characteristics, such as hardness and color overall quality of green tea powder jelly, were measured using instron and color difference meter. The elasticity, adhesiveness, chewiness, cohesiveness and overall quality were measured the panel test was taken. The overall optimal condition that satisfied all the sensory properties of green tea powder jelly were 15g green tea powder and 60g sucrose.

용인지역 노인의 식습관 및 영양섭취 실태조사

This study was performed to assess the health and nutritional status of 125 elderly living in the Yongin area, Kyonggi-do. Survey questionnaires including 24-hr dietary recall, food habit, anthropometric measurements were applied as the instruments. The average age of the subjects were 77 for male and 75 for female. Mean value of BMI was 23.2. About 30% of the subjects was overweight, which is over 25 of BMI. Caloric intake and protein intake were about 50% of the Korean RDA. Their diets were inappropriate, showing C: P: F ratio = 75: 15: 10. Female elderly showed higher food habit score than male elderly(p<0.05).

버섯류의 렉틴성분 개발연구(I): 혈구응집성 단백질의 분리

Sixteen kinds of mushrooms were collected and studied for their agglutinin activities. Among them, several species contained agglutinins(Agaricus bisporus; Rhodophyllus rhodopholius; Marasmius maximus; Pleurotus ostreatus). A lectin component was isolated and partially purified from agglutiinins of Agaricus bisporus. Immunological experiments were performed with this lectin to investigate the properties of other agglutinins.

Stability investigation for standard sections of retaining walls, in order to evaluate the efficiency of the standard section used in field work, is carried out in this paper. On purpose to do this, the safety factor of sliding, overturning and ground bearing capacity, is investigated. The typical drawing made by the Ministry of the Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Construction and Traffic is used in this paper. The computer program on the stability analysis process is developed. As a result of this study, it is turned out that the standard sections have some problems that must be improved.

Rhizobium japonicum was incubated for 30min. After immediate cooling in an ice-water bath, the remaining activity was determined. 조사한 결과 3일째 부터 약한 활성을 나타냈으며, 6일째에 32HU로 최대의 활성을 나타내었다. 배지로 분비된 렉틴은 사람 적혈구와 토끼 적혈구에서 응집현상을 나타내었으며 trypsin처리후 토끼와 DEAE 0.2M 분획에서 하나의 major band와 minor band가 나타났으며, Rhizobium sp. 렉틴의 활성은 pH 7-9범위에서 안정한 것으로 나타났으며, 또한 온도의 영향은 50℃이하에서 안정하였다. 적혈구 응집 저해 효과는 25mM galactose에서 최대로 나타났다. 세포내 결합형 렉틴을 배양시기(1, 2, 4, 6일)에 따라 전기 영동 시험을 실시한 결과 동일한 band pattern과 렉틴 활성을 나타냈으므로, 세포내 결합형 렉틴은 배양 시기 별로 차이가 없음을 알 수 있었다. Crude lectins were partially purified from Rhizobium sp. by salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex A-50. Hemagglutination of extracts from culture of Rhizobium sp. with age showed remarkable activity in 6 days. With purified lectin several biochemical properties have been characterized: Rhizobium sp. lectin agglutinated nonspecifically erythrocytes of human and several animals. In SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, Rhizobium sp. lectin (0.2M fraction of DEAE Sephadex A-50) showed one major and one minor bands. Crude lectin from Rhizobium sp. was relatively stable at the range fo pH 7-9 and temperature below 50℃. In sugar inhibition test, this lectin was inhibited by only galactose at final concentration of 25mM. Meanwhile, intracellular crude lectin from Rhizobium sp. with culture age showed same band patterns by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.

표고버섯 렉틴의 사이토카인 생성 양상

The gene expressions of 5 cytokines(IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, TNFα and IFNy) from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) stimulated with Lentinus edodes lectin(LEL) were investigated by using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). PBMC(1×10^(6) cells/ml) isolated from healthy volunteers were stimulated with LEL(O.D.=3.0) or lipopolysaccharide(LPS, 10㎎/ml) for various times(1, 8, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours). After each of the various stimulated times, total RNA was isolated by RNA sol B method and assessed for various cytokines mRNA by RT-PCR. The mRNA encoding IL-6 and IFNy were detected continuously from 1 to 120 hours. The mRNA encoding IL-1 were detected up to 72 hours and the intensity of the band were increased from 24 to 72 hours. The mRNA encoding IL-2 were detected from 8 to 120 hours and showed delayed reaction compare with other cytokines, But the mRNA encoding TNFα was detected up to 24 hours only. The patterns of TNfα gene expression showed short time response compared with other cytokines. These results suggest that LEL as an inducers of cytokines, can elicits a detectable cytokine on mRNA from the PBMC within the first few hours of stimulation.

표고버섯 렉틴의 림프구 자극 분열 및 암 세효 응집 효과

A lectin from the edible mushroom. Lentinus edodes, was purified through physiological saline extraction, ammonium sulfate fractionation and column chromatographies. On polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, 0.05M fraction from hydroxyapatite column exhibited adjacent four sharp bands. The partially purified lectin agglutinated the erythrocytes of rabbit, mouse and rat, but not agglutinated human erythrocytes. The lectin's mitogenic effects were tested by its application to human and murine splenic lymphocytes. The results showed that the 0.05M fraction from hydroxyapatite was mitogenic, and the optimal dose of leninus edodes lectin was slightly lower than Con A by the culture with murine splenic and human peripheral lymphocytes. Meanwhile, its ability to agglutinate transformed cells was tested by its administration to continuous cell lines L1210 and HeLa cells. The lectin was found to be an agglutinin of tumor cell lines teated by L1210 and HeLa cells.
