      • Research on Minnan puppet carving art in tourism cultural and creative products

        Background: Due to the homogenization of the global commodity market, tourism cultural, and creative products are gradually losing their uniqueness. This research studies puppet carving art in southern Fujian, which also faces the problem of homogenization of cultural and creative products. It digs deep into the Minnan puppet head carving art, explores cultural connotations, and finds a new market differentiation method. Purpose: This paper studies the status quo of Minnan puppet head sculpture art, tourism cultural, and creative products. It explores the historical origin of Minnan puppet head carving art and excavates artistic modeling expression. It injects deep cultural connotations into the culture and creative products. This research solves the homogenization problem by achieving differentiation in the commodity market, increasing consumers’ interest. Methods: 1) Literature review to understand the influence of homogenization trend on traditional culture art and artistic characteristics of southern Fujian puppet head sculpture art and tourism cultural and creative products. 2) Comparative study to explore the connection between the puppet head carving art of southern Fujian and tourism cultural and creative products. 3) Case study method to provide innovative inspiration for the research of Minnan puppet head sculpture art tourism cultural and creative products. Results: The design should highlight the regional characteristics of Minnan puppet carving art, present its unique characteristics through personalized design, emphasize the individuality of local culture, and give the product a unique competitive advantage in the homogenized market. Conclusion: The following conclusions can be drawn from this study: 1) Cultural integration and innovation provide a more engaging experience; 2) Establish the differentiation advantage of cultural and creative products to get rid of the homogenization problem; 3) Narrative expression combined with the puppet show elements of southern Fujian makes cultural and creative products more story-telling; 4) Balance tradition and modernity. This research provides practical strategies for promoting cultural and creative products that stand out in the homogenized market.

        Growth and Development of Infants with Asymptomatic Congenital Cytomegalovirus Infection

        Purpose: To observe changes in audiology, intellectual development, behavior development, and physical growth during systematic follow-up of infants with asymptomatic congenital human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection. Materials and Methods: Fifty-two infants diagnosed with asymptomatic congenital HCMV infection from July 2003 to July 2007 served as the infection group, and 21 healthy infants served as the control group. All infants were confirmed to have HCMV infection by Fluorescent Quantative polymerase chain reaction (FQ-PCR). In both the infection and control groups, the neonates and infants at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year of age underwent examinations. Results: 1) 20 items of National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) scores of neonates 12-14 days after birth in 2 groups were 38.3 ± 1.95 and 38.5 ± 2.29, without significant differences. 2) Auditory test: 50 ears of 25 cases in the infection group showed abnormal auditory thresholds in V waves with an abnormal rate of 14%, while no abnormalities were found in 21 cases in the control group. 3) Mental and psychomotor development index scores in the control group (107.49 ± 11.31 and 107.19 ± 10.98) were compared with those in 41 asymptomatically infected infants at 1 year of age (107.21 ± 9.96 and 108.31 ± 11.25), and no statistically significant difference was noted. Conclusion: 1) An elevated threshold in the V wave was present in asymptomatically infected infants, but could not be detected through otoacoustic emission (OAE) screening. 2) Either in the neonatal or infant periods, asymptomatic congenital HCMV infection did not have a significant influence on nervous behavior or on physical and intellectual development.         Lie Puzzle Dressed up as the Real---Analysis of Reversal Narrative in Hong Kong Film “Project Gutenberg”

        홍콩영화<무쌍>은 위조지폐 제작과정, 스릴있는 총격전, 폭파장면을 기반으로 한 복잡한 스토리 전개와 예상 밖의 반전 결말, 그리고 월드스타 주윤발의 개성 등 다양한 요소로 영화 흥행에 성공시켰다. 영화의 전개과정에서, 감독은 사건의 전개자인 이문을 이용해 시각을 한정시켜 경찰과 관중을 속임수에 빠지도록 이끌었고, 배우 주윤발의 상징성을 통해 관객들에게 “화가”로서의 이미지를 부각시켰으며, 각기 다른 인물과 장소의 복합적인 서술과 플래시백을 도입함으로써 복선층의 전개구조로 진상을 층층이 밝혀내었다. 영화에서 3번의 대반전이 나타나는데, 반전때마다 영화의 전개가 완전히 뒤집혔고, 또 뒤집힌 전개가 앞 스토리와 어떠한 관련이 있는지 관객이 알아채지 못하도록 하였다. 이 때문에 충만한 긴장감을 불러일으켜 관객들로 하여금 공감대를 형성하였고, 진실을 가려내는 심리게임 과정을 통해 완벽한 해방감과 해탈감을 느끼도록 하였다. The Hong Kong film “Project Gutenberg” has obtained the great achievements at the box office and public reputation due to such multiple factors as realistic counterfeit banknote production process, breathtaking gunfight scenes, brain-burning plot, unexpected reversal ending, personal charm of Chow Yun-Fat and so on. In terms of film narrative, the director utilized the narrator, Li Wen, to guide the police and audience in the limited angle of perspective into the scheme, and make the symbolic meaning image of the actor Chow Yun-Fat stengthen the audience’s confirmation for the imagination of “painter”, with the introduction of multiple narratives and flashback of different characters and scenes, and then finally, used the narrative structure with multiple lines and layers to uncover the truth. There are three great reversals in the film, each of which is overthrow for the film plot, and every overthrow is a disavowal of the audience’s cognition for the previous story; therefore it brings the greatly emotional tension, making the audience get complete release and relief in the process of the psychological game of cognition, identification and decision-making at the end.

      • The Typical Application of Building Energy Consumption Monitoring and Energy Management : A Case Study

        Building energy consumption monitoring and management system plays a vital role in the advance of building energy conservation, because it offers abundant online real time data, which are mainly used to further analyze energy saving potential and put forward a feasibility methodology for implementation. In addition to its extreme importance in decreasing energy consumption and saving costs, the platform can also help to find the anomalies of the main equipment. In this paper, we first introduce the structure of the monitoring platform, and then put forward an error analysis principle to improve the precision of heat meters. A case study is given for a building in “hot summer and cold winter” area, including the installation of various measuring meters and data verification. Finally, the energy consumption data of the building from January to December in 2013 were analyzed.

      • Solving for the Best Value of Bias Resistor to Promote Stability of Rs485 Fieldbus

        This paper analyzes several factors affecting the reliability of RS485 fieldbus communication, and then establishes the equivalent circuit model in order to solve bias resistor. The value range of bias resistor on the fieldbus is 556Ω~716Ω, which is determined by using the law of KCL and current limiting method. Furthermore the best value of bias resistor is derived about 670Ω for different unit loads based on the relationship between number of network nodes and the value of bias resistor, and the corresponding maximum network nodes of fieldbus are determined too. The research of this paper provides theoretical basis and engineering design guidance for the application of RS485 fieldbus.

        Regulation of BaTiO3 ceramics’ electrical properties by varying Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 dopants

        The piezoelectricity of BaTiO3 (BT) ceramics could be effectively regulated by Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) compounds, and themechanism is still controversial. In this work, BT-xNBT ceramics with various NBT contents (x) were synthesized by aconventional solid-state sintering process. The characteristic of phase, cross-section morphology, permittivity, ferroelectricity,and piezoelectricity were fully explored by some advanced test equipment. With an increment of x, the ceramics possessed ahigh densification with a sole tetragonal phase, the diffused phase transition and relaxor ferroelectricity enhanced firstly andthen receded. The inherent ferroelectricity and large strain of NBT materials under an electric field were deemed as thereasons for the increased ferroelectricity and piezoelectric coefficients with excessive x, respectively. Moreover, influences ofimpurity phases, fine grains, internal stress, etc. on the electrical properties were also discussed. This work provides a novelstrategy to regulate BT-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics.

        The myth of organization autonomy: Social workers’ salary under the lump sum grant subvention system in Hong Kong

        Adopting the principles of managerialism, the Lump Sum Grant Subvention System in Hong Kong grants service organizations autonomy to deploy resources. Using organization- and individual-level survey data, this article examines the salaries of social workers under the managerialist subvention system and investigates its impacts on frontline service professionals. We found that when service organizations adopted flexible employment terms to hire social workers, they offered lower minimum wage. Smaller organizations, which are often believed to benefit more from the system, paid social workers lower minimum wage. When individual social workers made use of flexible employment terms and switched their jobs in the welfare sector, there was no evidence that their income levels would be raised—on the contrary, switching jobs for three or more times would in fact lower their income levels. Furthermore, while the system encouraged social workers to get more involved in management work, there was no evidence that increasing work hours on management-related work would increase the income of social workers. As organizational autonomy does not necessarily result in income justice for frontline social workers, clear guidelines, supervision, and policy interventions in the management of service organizations are still needed in social service planning and delivery.

        Comparative transcriptome analysis in the hepatopancreas of Helice tientsinensis exposed to the toxic metal cadmium

        Background The mudflat crab Helice tientsinensis is one of the most commercially valuable species for crabmeat production due to its delicious taste. These crabs are mainly found in coastal wetland where they are seriously threatened by toxic heavy metal pollution. In crustaceans, the hepatopancreas is an important organ for detoxification, and metal toxic substances can be converted to non-toxic or less toxic compounds in this organ. Objective To develop a better understanding of the molecular response of H. tientsinensis to the toxic metal cadmium (Cd) and provide a molecular basis for the toxic metal tolerance of H. tientsinensis. Methods In this study, we performed comparative hepatopancreas transcriptome analysis between H. tientsinensis unexposed (as control) and exposed to the toxic metal Cd for 48 h. Results We identified 1089 Cd stress significantly-upregulated and 1560 Cd stress significantly-downregulated unigenes. Functional categorization and annotation of these differentially-expressed genes (DEGs) demonstrated that the response to Cd stress in the hepatopancreas of H. tientsinensis mainly involves “antioxidant activity”, “detoxification”, “toxin degradation activity” and “immune system process”. In addition, five genes (ABCC1, NDUFAF5, ASTL, DES1, CYP27A) were identified as possible major targets for toxic metal tolerance. Conclusion This is the first time reporting that the response of H. tientsinensis to Cd exposure at the transcriptome level, and it lays the foundation for understanding the molecular mechanisms of the response of H. tientsinensis to environmental toxic metal stress.

        Finite element analysis of high-density polyethylene pipe in pipe gallery of nuclear power plants

        High density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe has many advantages over metallic pipe, and has been used in non-safety related application for years in some nuclear power plants (NPPs). Recently, HDPE pipe was introduced into safety related applications. The main difference between safety-related and non-safety-related pipes in NPPs is the design method of extra loadings such as gravity, temperature, and earthquake. In this paper, the mechanical behavior of HDPE pipe under various loads in pipe gallery was studied by finite element analysis (FEA). Stress concentrations were found at the fusion regions on inner surface of mitered elbows of HDPE pipe system. The effects of various factors were analyzed, and the influence of various loads on the damage of HDPE pipe system were evaluated. The results of this paper provide a reference for the design of nuclear safety-related Class 3 HDPE pipe. In addition, as the HDPE pipes analyzed in this paper were suspended in pipe gallery, it can also serve as a supplementary reference for current ASME standard on Class 3 HDPE pipe, which only covers the application for buried pipe application.
