Research on the Corrosion/Permeability/Frost Resistance of Concrete by Experimental and Microscopic Mechanisms Under Different Water-Binder Ratios

        Rongling Zhang,Peng Liu,Lina Ma,Zijiang Yang,Huisu Chen,Han Xing Zhu,Huigang Xiao,Jia Li 한국콘크리트학회 2020 International Journal of Concrete Structures and M Vol.14 No.2

To study the influence of different water-binder ratios on the corrosion, permeability, and freezing properties of concrete, we produced different strengths of concrete with respective water-binder ratios of 0.32, 0.38, 0.50, and 0.66. The corrosion resistance of the concrete was studied via three corrosion methods: full immersion, half immersion, and dry and wet cycles. The impermeability and frost resistance of concrete with different water-binder ratios were tested and analyzed. The test results show that the corrosion modes in order from strong to weak were dry and wet cycles, half soaking, and full soaking. The relative dynamic elasticity modulus and freeze-thaw index were used to evaluate the frost resistance of concrete based on the analysis of three indices of frost resistance. To study the internal mechanism of corrosion of concrete with different water-binder ratios, microscopic pore structure testing of the concrete was conducted using a Micromeritics AutoPore IV 9500 Series instrument. The porosimeter studies show that the smaller the water-binder ratio, the more small pores and the denser the concrete. The smaller the water-binder ratio, the higher the strength and the better the corrosion, permeability, and frost resistance.

Transcriptome profiling of PeCRY1 transgenic Populus tomentosa

        Lina Wang,Rongling Wu,Wenhao Bo 한국유전학회 2018 Genes & Genomics Vol.40 No.4

Cryptochromes, a class of blue light photoreceptors, play vital roles in regulating growth and development in higher plants. Despite their control over various important traits, there have been few studies focusing on cryptochromes in forest trees to date. In this study, the Euphrates poplar (Populus euphratica) gene PeCRY1 (cryptochrome 1 of Populus euphratica) was isolated and heterologously expressed in Populus tomentosa. Three biological replicates of each of the PeCRY1 transgenic P. tomentosa (CRY1) and wild-type (WT) plants were processed for transcriptome profiling. We found 34792 commonly expressed transcripts among the 93868 detected unigenes. Using R package DESeq, we identified 357 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), including 132 upregulated and 225 downregulated genes. Gene ontology (GO) enrichment and KEGG pathway enrichment were used to better understand the functions of detected DEGs. Biosynthetic processes, such as starch and sucrose metabolism, which are closely related to growth and development, were highly enriched. Organic cyclic compound biosynthesis was downregulated, whereas carbohydrate metabolism was upregulated. Through KEGG pathway enrichment, we observed that the pentose phosphate pathway, photosynthesis, and circadian rhythm were significantly enriched. Another method of expression analysis based on quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) validated our RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) results.

      • Modeling and Emulation of 3d Dither Stability in Orthogonal Turn-Milling

Yueqi Guan,Hanqing Guan,Gaoshen Wang,Rongling Chen 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.6

Aiming at 4-axial orthogonal turn-milling by end mill, its theoretical 3d model for stable range of dither was put forward on the basis of its cutting principle by using analytical method. Based on modal trial, the stable range leaf figure of end mill’s dither in 4-axial turn-milling with eccentricity was simulated and analyzed. The results show that besides geometrical shape of mill, material of workpiece and frequency response function of machine-tool’s structure etc that can produce dither in 4-axial turn-milling, the rotating speed of mill and cutting depth are also related to dither. In trial of 4-axial turn-milling by end mill, the results of cutting force spectrum analysis show that: cutting is stable and un-dither when frequency of cutter tooth cutting-in plays leading role in force spectrum. Dither is produced when modal frequency of system plays leading role in force spectrum, the measured value of cutting force and surface roughness are also higher than those in the condition of un-dither. Thus the theoretical model and results of emulation can predict stability of end mill’s dither in 4-axial orthogonal turn-milling with eccentricity correctly and can provide theoretical guidance for surface quality and processing efficiency of workpiece.
