Penetrating head injury is a serious open cranial injury. In civilians, it is often caused by non-missile, low velocity flying objects that penetrate the skull through a weak cranial structure, forming intracranial foreign bodies. The intracranial foreign body can be displaced due to its special quality, shape, and location. In this paper, we report a rare case of right-to-left displacement of an airgun lead bullet after transorbital entry into the skull complicated by posttraumatic epilepsy, as a reminder to colleagues that intracranial metal foreign bodies maybe displaced intraoperatively. In addition, we have found that the presence of intracranial metallic foreign bodies may be a factor for the posttraumatic epilepsy, and their timely removal appears to be beneficial for epilepsy control.
Equalizing charger based on multi‑windings transformer and voltage‑doubler rectifiers
Chao Wu,Hong-kai Zhang,Shan-shou Li,Zheng-fei Li,Jia-rong Kan 전력전자학회 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.2
Energy storage batteries are currently composed of a large number of low-voltage battery cells. The state of charge of the cells is different due to the characteristic differences between cells. This causes some of the cells to be over-charged during charging and some of the cells to be over-discharging during discharging. To improve this phenomenon, this paper proposes a battery charger with an equalizing function that works during the charging and discharging processes. A performance comparison among the proposed charger and other similar topologies is carried out. The operational principle of the proposed strategy is analyzed and a control strategy with only a single voltage loop is proposed, which can guarantee two-stage charging. Experimental results show that the proposed charger can simultaneously achieve a high efficiency and the requirement of voltage equalization between cells.

Chao Mianran,Fan Rong,Zhang Lulu,Wang Xiaoyu,Shu Qianhui,Gao Jifeng,Chen Lele,Gong Peiwei,Shen Duyi 대한화학회 2021 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.42 No.11
A novel oil-soluble arylamine antioxidant N1 ,N2 -diphenylethane-1,2-diamine (ND) was successfully synthesized, and the potential antioxidant behavior of which had never been reported before. The structure of ND was characterized via nuclear magnetic resonance (1 H NMR, 13C NMR) and electron ionization mass spectrometry. The antioxidant performance of ND and its synergistic effect with 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol (BHT) in di-2-ethylhexyl sebacate were evaluated by pressurized differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetry analysis, and hot oil oxidation test. All the results indicated that the synthesized antioxidant ND exhibited outstanding antioxidant performance and showed prominent synergistic effect with BHT in ester base oil. Furthermore, the probable synergistic antioxidative effect between ND and BHT was discussed, which was mainly induced by the formation of a fresh BHT radical and the regeneration of ND antioxidant.

Xia-Rong Tan,Chao-Li,Ke-Ke Feng,Jing-Qing Le,Jiang-Wen Shen,Jing-Wei Shao 한국공업화학회 2022 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.116 No.-
The nanocarrier-based drug delivery systems have become an alternative strategy for cancer treatment. Whereas, increasing studies find that the utilization of drug carriers may result in poor biocompatibility, lower drug loading capacity and unpredictable side reactions. Therefore, we herein reported selfassembledmicelles based on herbal product ginsenosides, which are the main active ingredients ofPanax ginseng C.A. The ginsenosides-based micelle system exerts excellent biosafety, better stability, highdrug capacity, and lower cytotoxicity compared to free ginsenosides. Meanwhile, ginsenosides micellesexhibits superior inhibitory effects on cancer cell adhesion activity, especially the expression of intercellularadhesion molecule-1, which is the critical factor of cancer metastasis. Importantly, ginsenosidesmicelles results in remarkably therapeutic efficacy on lung metastasis of liver cancer. All these resultshighlight the potential utilization of ginsenosides micelles in the clinic. Meanwhile, the carrier-freenano-drugs self-delivery system of ginsenosides showed great promise to become an emerging approachfor cancer metastasis therapy.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of different ratios of corn silage (CS): alfalfa hay (AH), and extruded soybeans (ESB) on milk yield, milk composition, blood metabolites, and fatty acids in milk fat and plasma. Ninety multiparous Holstein cows were arranged in a randomized block design experiment which lasted 14 weeks. Treatments were arranged as a $3{\times}3$ factorial with 0%, 5% or 10% ESB (dry matter basis) and three forage treatments: I) 30% CS, 10% AH and 10% Leymus chinense hay (LC); ii) 20% corn silage, 20% alfalfa hay and 10% LC; iii) 10% CS, 30% AH and 10% LC. Cows were allowed to consume a total mixed ration ad libitum. There was no change of dry matter intake when cows were fed the experimental diets. As more AH was added to the diets, milk yield, milk protein content and yield, and trans9, cis11-conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) concentrations in milk fat and plasma increased. When ESB were supplemented to the diets, milk yield, and trans9, cis11-CLA concentration in milk fat and plasma increased. When 10% ESB was added to the diet containing 30% AH the trans9, cis11-CLA content (1.46 g/100 g of total fatty acids) in milk was the highest among all treatments. These results suggests that AH could replace part of a CS diet and be a good forage source of diet for dairy cows to improve milk yield and milk composition. Meanwhile, ESB could be included in the diet with high AH to improve production performance of dairy cows.

The surface of self-made MoS2 nanosheets with five-layer structure was successively decorated by zinc borate (ZB) nanoparticles with coordination enhancement on the tribological performance and modified by three types of modifiers for improving dispersivity in oil. A series of characterizations determined the chemical modification and composite structure of the ZB/MoS2 nanocomposites. The tribological properties of the chemically capped ZB/MoS2 nanocomposites were extensively examined on a ball-on-ball wear tester. The average friction coefficient and average wear scar diameter of the OA-ZB/MoS2-based oil dropped by about 25.2% and 52.2%, and furthermore the extreme pressure performance increased by about 15.2% compared to oil.

We here document discovery of expression profile of myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients and changes in the course of disease. The study population was composed of 75 outpatient HBV cases and 15 healthy control cases. Peripheral blood samples were collected for separation of mononuclear cells. Levels of MDSCs labeled with Lin-DR-CD11b+CD33+ obtained from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), were revealed to have significant differences between the CHB and other groups. They were 0.414% for health control cases and 0.226% for CHB cases (Z=-2.356, p=0.0189). It also observed that the group of HBeAg positive cases had significant difference in MDSCs/PBMC median ($X^2=11.877$, p=0.003), compared with group of HBeAg negative cases and the healthy control group. It suggested considerable MDSCs might be involved in HBeAg immune tolerance. In addition, negative correlations between MDSCs/PBMC and parameters of ALT, AST and TBil, while positive correlation between MDSCs/PBMC and ALB parameter were found. Multiple comparisons between the four phases and health control phase again, there was a statistically sifnificant difference ($X^2=17.198$, p=0.002). Taken together, these findings may provide a new immunotherapy strategy for reduced the expression levels of MDSCs in CHB patients, through induction of an autoimmune response to virus removal.

Meiping Chen,Chao Ma,Change Zhou,Zhiguang Li,Rong Li 한국섬유공학회 2023 Fibers and polymers Vol.24 No.11
The water-resistant antibacterial PVA nanofibers containing curcumin (Cur) and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were prepared by electrospinning, and the AgNps were prepared by in situ reduction in the spinning solution. The prepared PVA nanofibers were measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR). The breathable, hygroscopic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidants functions of the prepared nanofibers were evaluated. The results indicated that the prepared nanofiber membrane has high swelling rate, moisture permeability, good mechanical properties, good biocompatibility, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and bacteriostatic activities with no cytotoxicity. Curcumin and AgNPs in the prepared nanofiber have effect on antibacterial activity and wound healing. The functionalized silver nanoparticles developed have effective activities against both Gram-negative bacteria and Gram-positive bacteria. In short, Cur/AgNPs composite nanofibers can be used as a potential medical dressing with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.
