        초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안의 상관관계 분석 연구

        본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안의 관계를 통합방법으로 조사하였다. 초등학교 교사 256명의 설문 조사의 통계적 분석 결과 두 요인 사이에는 통계적으로 유의미한 양의 상관관계가 있었다(r = .630, p <.05). 두 요인에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 분석 결과 수학불안에 영향을 미치는 요인은 교직경력과 학위, 수학교수불안에 영향을 주는 요인은 교직경력, 학위, 교사 자격증으로 조사되었다. 이어 본 연구에서는 20명의 초등학교 교사와 면담을 중심으로 하는 질적 연구를 시행하였다. 분석 결과 수학불안이 반드시 수학교수불안을 야기하는 유일한 원인이 아닐 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 양적·질적 분석 결과 한국 초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안은 동일한 몇 가지 요인에 의해 통계적으로 유의미한 변화를 나타내기 때문에 두 요인 사이의 유사성이 발견되지만, 별개의 요인에 각각의 정서적 상태의 변화가 확인되는 점을 바탕으로 수학불안과 수학교수 불인이 동일한 정서적 상태가 아니라는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 수학불안만으로 수학교수불안을 예측할 수 없다는 점을 가정할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 수학불안과 수학교수불안을 예방 및 치료하기 위해서는 어느 정서적 상태의 치료가 우선시된다기 보다 각각의 정서 상태에 맞는 방법들이 고안되어 동시에 진행되어야 한다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. In this study, I investigate the relationship between mathematics anxiety and mathematics teacher anxiety of elementary school teachers with integrated method. As a result of statistical analysis of the survey of 256 elementary school teachers, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the two factors (r = .630, p <.05). The analysis show that teaching experience and degree may affect mathematics anxiety and teaching experience, degree, and teacher qualification may affect mathematics teaching anxiety. Subsequently I conduct a qualitative study focusing on interviews with 20 elementary school teachers. As a result of the analysis, I confirm that even if the mathematics anxiety is low, mathematics teaching anxiety may occur due to the teaching environment. As a result of the quantitative and qualitative analysis of this study, Korean elementary school teachers' mathematics anxiety and mathematics teaching anxiety might be regarded as separate factors. From the result of the study, I suggest that mathematics anxiety and mathematics teaching anxiety of elementary school teachers, each emotional state might be considered as independent emotional status. The implication of the study indicate that independent methods might be developed in order to prevent and treat mathematics anxiety and mathematics teaching anxiety in elementary school teachers.

        Synthesis, Structural Analysis, and Biological Evaluation of Novel ((2,4-dioxothiazolidin-5-ylidene)methyl)phenyl Derivatives

        The objective of this study was to evaluate the synthesis, structural analysis, and biological effects of novel ((2, 4-dioxothiazolidin-5-ylidene)methyl)phenyl derivatives. The efficacy of 15-PGDH inhibition increased for the substituents in the derivatives in the order: cyclohexylpropyl > cyclohexylethyl > cyclohexylmethyl > cyclohexyl. Compound 12 inhibited 15-PGDH activity by binding to the amino acids Ile 214, Ile 210, Ile 194, Gln 148, and Leu 191 of 15-PGDH. Compounds 4, 22, and 23 produced the highest increment in PGE2 concentration, which was 122.19, 100.14, and 206.80%, respectively, compared to that of the control. Also, compounds 38 and 39, in which the central phenyl ring and the 2, 4-thiazolidinedione moiety were linked by a single bond, produced a relatively high increment in PGE2 concentration, which was 106.81 and 118.66%, respectively, compared to that of the control. The wound closure rates of compounds 22 and 39 were the highest, being 247.56 and 202.42%, respectively, compared to that of the positive control. Therefore, compounds 22 and 39 could not only efficiently regulate PGE2 concentration, but also induce cellular regeneration, and are expected to effectively treat a variety of diseases resulting from PGE2 deficiency.

      • 학교 조직풍토가 통합교과 교육과정 운영에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 학교 조직풍토가 통합교과 교육과정 운영에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 그 결과에 따라 학교 조직풍토에 대한 개선과 통합교과 교육과정 운영에 새로운 관점을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 대구, 경북 지역을 중심으로 전국 120명의 초등학교 1,2학년 담임 교사들을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 분석 결과에 따르면 첫째, 학교와 교사의 배경변인은 학교의 조직풍토와 통합교과 교육과정 운영에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타나 교사들 사이의 높은 동질성을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 학교 조직풍토는 통합교과 교육과정 운영에 정적인 영향을 주었으며, 특히 교사의 헌신적 행동이 교장에 비해 더 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 셋째, 학교 조직풍토의 개방성 지수와 통합교과 교육과정 운영 사이에는 직접적이고 높은 상관관계가 있었다. 따라서 학교 조직풍토와 통합교과 교육과정 운영에 긍정적 방향으로 영향을 미치기 위해서는 교사들의 헌신적이고 적극적인 행동에 대한 지원과 학교 조직풍토의 개방성을 높이기 위한 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the school organizational climate on curriculum implementation of integrated subjects and to present a new perspective according to the results. For the study, a survey was conducted on 120 elementary school teachers. As for the measurement tool, Roh Jong Hee(OCDQKOR)' s questionnaire was revised and supplemented in the school organizational climate, and Yi Kyung-jin's questionnaire was used to operate the integrated curriculum implementation. The collected data were processed using SPSS/ PC+ Statistical Program and verified using One-Way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, there is no significant concern between the background variables of the school and teachers and the organizational climate of the schools. Only a few numbers of the school variables such as the location, the size of the school, and the demonstration school affect directly the organizational climate of schools. Second, the organizational climates of elementary schools have a static effect on the integrated curriculum implementation, and the behavior of teachers has a greater impact than that of the principal. In particular, the devoted behavior of teachers was highly correlated with the entire sub-factor of the operation of the integrated curriculum. It was proved that the internal volition of the teacher plays an important role in the operation of the curriculum. Third, there were direct, high correlations between the openness index of the organizational climates of elementary schools and the integrated curriculum implementation. In conclusion, this study will provide a good means of introducing beneficial changes in the organizational climate of schools. Encouraging teachers to support each other could bring advantageous changes in teachers, schools, and classes, creating a better school system and influencing each other's actions. It also affects the operation of integrated curriculum.

        Capsaicin, a Spicy Component of Hot Pepper, Induces Apoptosis by Activation of the Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated receptor gamma in HT-29 human colon cancer cells

        Capsaicin (N-vanillyl-8-methyl-a-nonenamide), a spicy component of hot pepper, is a homovanillic acid derivative that preferentially induces certain cancer cells to undergo apoptosis and has a putative role in cancer chemoprevention. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR), a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily, is a ligand-dependent transcription factor. PAPR activation results in growth arrest and/or apoptosis in a variety of cancer cells. In the present study, we investigated the potential of capsaicin to induce apoptotic cell death in human colon cancer cells and the association of PPAR in the capsaicin action. Cell viability was measured by MTT assay. PPAR and vanilloid receptor type 1 (VR-1) expressions at the protein or mRNA levels were detected by Western blot analysis and RT-PCR. Apoptotic cell death was determined by DNA fragmentation and quantified by ELISA analysis. HT-29 human colon cancer cell expressed PPAR and VR-1. Treatment with capsaicin or the PPAR ligand troglitazone induced apoptotic cell death in a dose dependent manner in HT-29 human colon cancer cells. Capsaicin-induced cell death was completely blocked by BADGE, a specific PPAR antagonist. Capsazepine, a specific antagonist for vanilloid receptor, did not inhibit capsaicin-induced apoptosis. Our data suggest that capsaicin-induced apoptotic cells death in HT-29 human colon cancer cells could be associated with the PPAR pathway without the involvement of the vanilloid receptor. Capsaicin may have a beneficial effect for the treatment of colon cancer.

        Screening of submergence tolerant rice under artificial condition based on multiple selection indices

        Flooding often occurs during the vegetative stage in freshwater swamps and rainfed lowlands, and therefore submergencetolerant rice varieties are needed. This study was aimed at evaluating rice lines to submergence stress. The experiments wereconducted at ICRR experimental station in Sukamandi, Subang, West Java, each in different environmental conditions: (1) submergencecondition, which was conducted in a submergence pool and (2) optimal condition, which was conducted in the irrigationfield. Ninety-five lines and four check varieties, namely Inpari 30 Ciherang Sub1, IR42, Limboto, and IR20 were used. An augmenteddesign with five blocks was followed in each environment. Three selection methods were used: (1) selection based on survival rate andvigor, (2) selection based on productivity under submergence and sensitivity index on productivity character, (3) selection based on theweighted selection index using sensitivity index variables of morphological and agronomic characters. The clustergram analysis withheatmaps method was used to compile of three previous selection methods to facilitate scientist in clarifying tolerant and sensitive lines. There were eighteen lines selected as tolerant to submergence stress, i.e., line no. 9, 15, 34, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 53, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61,62, 89, and 90. These lines are considered promising for breeding improved rice varieties tolerant to submergence.

        Electrical and Optical Properties of Asymmetric Dielectric/Metal/Dielectric (D/M/D) Multilayer Electrode Prepared by Radio-Frequency Sputtering for Solar Cells

        Transparent and conductive multilayer thin films consisting of three alternating layers FZTO/Ag/WO3 have been fabricated by radiofrequency (RF) sputtering for the applications as transparent conducting oxides and the structural and optical properties of the resulting films were carefully studied. The single layer fluorine doped zinc tin oxide (FZTO) and tungsten oxide (WO3) films grown at room temperature are found to have an amorphous structure. Multilayer structured electrode with a few nm Ag layer embedded in FZTO/Ag/ WO3 (FAW) was fabricated and showed the optical transmittance of 87.60 % in the visible range (λ = 380~770 nm), quite low electrical resistivity of ~ 10-5 Ω cm and the corresponding figure of merit (T10/Rs) is equivalent to 3.0×10-2Ω-1. The resultant power conversion efficiency of 2.50% of the multilayer based OPV is lower than that of the reference commercial ITO. Asymmetric D/M/D multilayer is a promising transparent conducting electrode material due to its low resistivity, high transmittance, low temperature deposition and low cost components.

        Transparent Conducting Multilayer Electrode (GTO/Ag/GTO) Prepared by Radio-Frequency Sputtering for Organic Photovoltaic`s Cells

        Indium free consisting of three alternating layers GTO/Ag/GTO has been fabricated by radio-frequency (RF) sputtering for the applications as transparent conducting electrodes and the structural, electrical and optical properties of the gallium tin oxide (GTO) films were carefully studied. The gallium tin oxide thin films deposited at room temperature are found to have an amorphous structure. Hall Effect measurements show a strong influence on the conductivity type where it changed from n-type to p-type at 700oC. GTO/Ag/GTO multilayer structured electrode with a few nm of Ag layer embedded is fabricated and show the optical transmittance of 86.48% in the visible range (λ = 380~770 nm) and quite low electrical resistivity of ~10-5 Ω cm. The resultant power conversion efficiency of 2.60% of the multilayer based OPV (GAG) is lower than that of the reference commercial ITO. GTO/Ag/GTO multilayer is a promising transparent conducting electrode material due to its low resistivity, high transmittance, low temperature deposition and low cost components.

        Prenatal Diagnosis of Ventricular Tachycardia Initiated from Bradycardia

        Fetal ventricular tachycardia (VT) is an extremely rare condition. Because sustained VT is highly associated with perinatal morbidity and mortality, prenatal management with antiarrhythmic drugs is crucial. A 33-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for fetal bradycardia at 25.2 weeks of gestation. Initial echocardiography showed bradycardia with irregular atrial beats, which was suspected as blocked atrial bigeminy. Four weeks later, the fetal tachycardia was accompanied by no atrioventricular conduction. Therefore, VT was diagnosed. The fetus developed hydrops. Despite the use of antiarrhythmic drug, the neonate died a few hours after birth because of persistent VT. Only few cases of fetal VT have been reported worldwide, and no case has been reported in Korea. Here, we report a case of fetal VT and discuss the prenatal management using antiarrhythmic drugs, reviewing previous reports.

        Antibacterial compound produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain UICC B-40, an endophytic bacterium isolated from Neesia altissima

        This study’s aim was to determine the identity of antibacterialcompounds produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa strainUICC B-40 and describe the antibacterial compounds’ mechanismsof action for damaging pathogenic bacteria cells. Isolation and identification of the compounds were carriedout using thin layer chromatography (TLC), nuclear magneticresonance (NMR) spectroscopy and liquid chromatographymass spectrometry (LC-MS) analyses. Antibacterialactivity was assayed via minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) and the antibacterial compound mechanism was observedmorphologically through scanning electron microscopy(SEM). This study successfully identified the (2E,5E)-phenyltetradeca-2,5-dienoate antibacterial compound (molecularweight 300 g/mol), composed of a phenolic ester, fattyacid and long chain of aliphatic group structures. MIC valuesfor this compound were determined at 62.5 μg/ml againstStaphylococcus aureus strain ATCC 25923. The mechanismof the compound involved breaking down the bacterial cellwalls through the lysis process. The (2E,5E)-phenyltetradeca-2,5-dienoate compound exhibited inhibitory activity on thegrowth of Gram-positive bacteria.
