Combining Ability and Gene Action Analysis of Quantitative Traits in Lilium × formolongi

To understand the breeding potential of parental lines, we analyzed the combining ability and gene action of 10 quantitative traits in Lilium × formolongi. The clonal lines of three single cross F1s were crossed with the clonal lines of six testers to produce 18 three-way cross F1s in a Line × Tester mating design. The analysis of variance revealed that the mean sum of square of all genotypes was highly significant for all the traits studied. The crosses, parents, and cross vs. parent revealed significant differences among all traits studied, except the width of leaf, validating the combining ability. Furthermore, the Line × Tester analysis demonstrated that the lines, testers, and Line × Tester hybrids were significant for all traits studied, except the length of leaf and attitude of floral axis. The highest GCA (General combining ability) effect was observed for parent-1 45-3 (AF × Ad), with a positive GCA effect for the height of plant, diameter of stem, number of leaves, length of bud, and attitude of floral axis followed by parent-3 (Stu × Ad)-14 with significant GCA effects for the height of plant, number of leaves, length of leaf, width of leaf, and number of flowers. Tester-1 Jul-19 demonstrated significant performance for the length and width of leaf, days to flowering, length of bud, and attitude of floral axis. It can be used as a potential donor for both parent-1 45-3 (AF × Ad) and parent-3 (Stu × Ad)-14 for seed production with some important cut flower traits inside a green house. The diameter of stem, number of leaves, width of leaf, number of flowers, diameter of flower, and length of bud predominantly showed dominance variance, whereas the height of plant, length of leaf, days to flowering, and attitude of floral axis demonstrated additive gene action. Genotypic and phenotypic correlation coefficients demonstrated that plant height is highly correlated with the diameter of stem, number of leaves, length of leaf, and number of flowers and correlated with the attitude of floral axis.

Acromegaloid Facial Appearance Syndrome - A New Case in India

Acromegaloid Facial Appearance syndrome is a very rare syndrome combining acromegaloid-like facial appearance, thickened lips and oral mucosa and acral enlargement. Progressive facial dysmorphism is characterized by a coarse facies, a long bulbous nose, high-arched eyebrows, and thickening of the lips, oral mucosa leading to exaggerated rugae and frenula, furrowed tongue and narrow palpebral fissures. We report a case of acromegaloid facial appearance syndrome in a 19-year-old male patient who presented with all the characteristic features of the syndrome along with previously unreported anomalies like dystrophic nails, postaxial polydactyly and incisal notching of teeth.

This study of Shimchungjon(沈淸傳) is explaned by the widening view of meaning and Tale element theory(話素論)inviewing of why Shimchungjon is a masterpiece and what the peculiar stucture and meaning is. This is based upon the Wanpanbon Verson(完板本)printed in Junju city among many different versons. Shimchungjon is the novel of complete pitiety based upon the best widely known stories of the sacrifice to everyone. So the process is very sorrowful and has the result of national and social scale beyond home-scale. The theme of Shimchungjon is piety, and is classified the four aspects by getting the motive force to this piety. One is that the pietiful Shimchung is becoming the empress, another is that the god of water in Indangsu (印塘本) is the changing of non-human circle from the evil to the goodness, the third is that the helper of her father's the opening eye, the emperor is changed from common to special. The other is that the changing of the parents is done by the enlargement of the salvation through the opening eyes of all blind man in the country. Also this book contains the four processes; piety, sacrifice, miracle and parents. Shimchung is the active character symbolizing the theme of the piety. Also Shimchung is looked upen by the little Jesus. The blind Shimbongsa is the character symolizing instinctiveness. In other words, he is the main character of having the process of happiness, the next unhappiness and the last the revelation of happ-iness. Otherwise the every particle of Shimchungjon can be explained. In the result, the right side of Shimchungjon is the pietiful ethics of Shimchung and the left side the happiness and instinctiveness of the blind Shimbongsa. So Shimchungjon is the structural work that the proceeding two sides processes crossly and is an union. The motive process of them give many meanings.

This oral literature of the Period of Enlightenment has often been regarded as the sediments of the historical phenomena filtered through the past century, but it deserves to be revaluated for its applicatin to the present. This article illustrate some typical oral literature forms in three categories in the period, i.e., narrative (tale), folk song and proverb. Taewonkun, when he was poor, is said to have hehaved as a man in the street, living in obscurity. His experence as a king of vagabond helped him manage his office with unprecedented wit and open-minded-ness, particularly in selectin and promotin his public officials. On the contrary, Minbi (Queen Min), being a woman, was narrow-minded, leaning too much on foreign powers, notorious for her unfair political dealings. Minyongwhan's suiside and its subsequent miraculous sprouting of the bamboo has been the topic of many a litrary discussin. People naturally connected his episode with that of Chungmongju 500 years ago, regarding his patriotism unperishable. The two fork songs ARIRANG and PARANGSAE are related to Tonghak the Oriental Study' which was originated by the political uprising of Chonbongjun. Many Korean proverbs are aphorisms. Yes Minister 'chidangdaeshin' refers to those cabinet members who did not resist the Japanes influence. Trafficking of official post gave rise to such codified sarcastic sayings as "money can make a dog gentle man." "Pyongthaek i kkaeojina Asan i munojina" (Is it Pyongtaek or Asan which was wrecked?) is a reflec-tion of the insecure mind of the populace during the period of the Sino-Japanese War. All these stories, folk songs and proverbs originated during the Enlightenment Period, are to be reminatd by the contempo-rary Korean peoele.

알지 못하는 여러 파라미터들을 포함하는 시스템을 해석하고 제어하는 여러 방법 중에 불확실성 시스템의 모델이 제시되었다. 이 불확실성 시스템에서는 알지 못하는 파라미터들의 성질을 알지 못해도 그 한계를 알면 시스템을 안정하게 제어할 수 있다. 하지만 불확실한 파라미터는 정합조건으로 시스템에 포함되어, 제어하고자하는 시스템의 제어가 가능하고 안정성을 보장받을 수 있다. 비정합 파라미터들이 많이 포함될수록 그 안정성을 보장 받지 못할 수가 있다. 이 논문에서는 비정합 파라미터를 감소시키는 방법과 비정합 한계치을 제시하고 서로 비교하여 보다 낫은 시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

FUZZY CONTROL LAW FOR HIGH ANGLE ALTHA AIRCRAFT

이 논문에서는 고성능, 고기동을 요구하는 항공기에 적용하기 위한 퍼지 제어기설계 방법을 제시한다. 사용된 항공기는 F/A-18 항공기의 수정된 모델이다. 입력으로 사용하는 트러스트 벡터의 크기와 각 변위의 제한, 그리고 승강키이 비선형성을 포함하는 퍼지 제어기를 비례, 적분, 미분기에 근거하여 설계한다. 다충 퍼지 규칙에 근거한 단순한 이득 스케줄 방법을 이용하여 승강키와 트러스트 벡터의 작동 영역을 확장하였다. 퍼지 규칙의 계산 능력을 향상시키기 위해 가속화된 커널 방법을 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과에 의하면 퍼지 제어기도 고기동, 고성능을 요구하는 항공기에 적용할 수 있는 제어기로 개선되고 있다.

Brand Personality and Consumer Behavior for Laptop Purchases in Nepal

Purpose: The study's objective was to examine the impact of brand personality dimensions on consumer behavior for laptop purchases in Nepal. Research Materials and Methods: The study included descriptive and explanatory research designs. A structured questionnaire with a purposive sampling method was employed to gather the necessary information for the study. The survey data were analyzed using a quantitative approach. The study used descriptive statistics to characterize the response conditions. Correlation analysis was used to investigate the relationship between brand personality dimensions and consumer behavior. Regression path analysis was employed to identify the effect of brand personality dimensions and consumer behavior. Results: The result of regression path analysis showed that the three dimensions - competency, ruggedness, and sophistication, have a significant effect on consumer behavior, and the two dimensions- sincerity and excitement do not have a substantial impact on consumer behavior in laptop buying in Nepal. Conclusions and Implications: Such findings can serve as pioneering empirical evidence and provide a framework for marketers and future studies in various scenarios. The study's findings can help marketing managers in handling information management. Manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers can also use the results in formulating marketing strategies, and marketers need to be aware of such considerations for influencing consumer behavior.

Identifying the leaders and main conspirators of the attacks in terrorist networks

This study proposes a novel method for identifying the primary conspirators involved in terrorist activities. To map the information related to terrorist activities, we gathered information from different sources of real cases involving terrorist attacks. We extracted useful information from available sources and then mapped them in the form of terrorist networks, and this mapping provided us with insights in these networks. Furthermore, we came up with a novel centrality measure for identifying the primary conspirators of a terrorist attack. Because the leaders of terrorist attacks usually direct conspirators to conduct terrorist activities, we designed a novel algorithm that can identify such leaders. This algorithm can identify terrorist attack leaders even if they have less connectivity in networks. We tested the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms on four real-world datasets and conducted an experimental evaluation, and the proposed algorithms could correctly identify the primary conspirators and leaders of the attacks in the four cases. To summarize, this work may provide information support for security agencies and can be helpful during the trials of the cases related to terrorist attacks.
