Based on the two-dimensional constitutive relationship of the piezoelastic material, this paper derived an analytic solution to the elastic beam with the piezoelectric layer under the electric field, presented the explicit expressions of its displacement and stress. It is helpful for understanding the electrical and mechanical behavior of piezoelectric materials as actuators and the validation of the numerical methods such as FEM.

Phase sequence commutating method among traction feeders results in a neutral section without power supply between two feeders in traction substation of electrified railway. Electric locomotives suffer from a nopower time of more than 100 millisecond when going through the neutral section, during which the power failure and restoration process causes serious over-voltage and over-current problems. A novel railway uninterruptible flexible connector based on two-phase modular multilevel converter structure(MMC-UFC) is proposed in this paper, which can completely eliminate power supply dead zone. System utilization and operational principle are analyzed. Mathematical model of MMC-UFC is built to derive the difference between MMC-UFC. Double close-loop control strategies are given and close-loop control of both upper arm current and lower arm current for MMC converter is proposed to ensure the quality of output current. PSCAD/EMTDC simulations and experiment are carried out to prove the effectiveness of proposed MMC-UFC and its control system.

Radix Tinosporae is a herb widely used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases. In the present study, its anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities were investigated. The ethanol extract of Radix Tinosporae exhibited significant inhibitory effects on xylene-induced ear edema and acetic acid-induced writhing in mice. Using bioassay-guided fractionation, the n-butanol fraction was determined as the active fraction. Further purification of the most active n-butanol fraction led to the isolation of three compounds, palmatine, columbamine and columbinyl glucoside. All three compounds showed inhibitory activities on xylene-induced ear edema, but only palmatine and columbamine exhibited significant inhibitory effects on acetic acid-induced writhing. In addition, palmatine and columbamine markedly inhibited in vitro production of nitric oxide and nuclear factor-κB activation in RAW264.7 macrophage cells in response to lipopolysaccharide or tumor necrosis factor α stimulation. These results provide justification for the utilization of Radix Tinosporae in Chinese folk medicine for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
THE ABSORPTION LINE SPECTRUM OF QSO 1225+317

In this paper, we present observations of absorption line spectrum of QSO 1225+317 with resolution of 18 km $sec^{-1}$. Four possible new heavy element line systems are identified. The properties of Lyman $\alpha$ forest lines are discussed.

In this work, YBO3phosphors doped with Ln3+(Ce3+, Tb3+,Eu3+)ions were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal methodusing high temperature and high pressure environment. Structural property characterizations show all the samples have asimilar spherical morphology and a hexagonal crystal structure with good crystallinity. PL spectra and CIE calculation showthat the color of phosphors can be easily controlled by the species and atomic content of Ln3+ions. White color is achievedas the atomic contents of Ln3+ions are: 1% Ce3+,3% Tb3+,and 0.5% Eu3+,respectively. Furthermore, LED devices basedon ultraviolet chip were fabricated and characterized, and the results clearly demonstrated the tunable color of as-preparedphosphors. At the same time, co-doping Ce3+,Tb3+,and Eu3+ions can well adjust the fluorescence lifetime of the threerare earth ions through energy transfer. These results show that the phosphor has broad application prospects in the field ofdisplay lighting such as LED.

Diet is the most important substantial base to ensure athletes nutrients needs and maintain the performance. It is important for the Olympic Gold Medal Strategy. An athlete is like a racing car. Therere two key factors for the car to run faster: the engine and the gasoline. The physical components decide the engines highest power while the diet is like the gasoline the better quality of the gasoline is, the faster the urns. It is inconsistent between the importance of diet for competitive sports and the ubiquity of diet imbalance. It will influence the training efficiency and the recovery after training for a long time, and consequently hinder the improvement of the performance.

A 300J IGBT pulsed laser power supply designed for 4X65F high voltage pulsed xenon lamp is described. The power supply delivers an output-voltage range from 0V to 1400V to the pulsed load with maximum peak energy of 300J and maximum peak current of 600A. The efficiency range of the power supply is measured from 85.2% to 92.2%. Detailed analysis and design of the power supply, along with the experimental results are presented.

The application of Bacillus sp. in the biological control of plant soilborne diseases has been shown to be an environmentally friendly alternative to the use of chemical fungicides. In this study, the effects of bioorganic fertilizer (BOF) fortified with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens SQY 162 on the suppression of tomato bacterial wilt were investigated in pot experiments. The disease incidence of tomato wilt after the application of BOF was 65.18% and 41.62% lower at 10 and 20 days after transplantation, respectively, than in the control condition. BOF also promoted the plant growth. The SQY 162 populations efficiently colonized the tomato rhizosphere, which directly suppressed the number of Ralstonia solanacearum in the tomato rhizosphere soil. In the presence of BOF, the activities of defense-related enzymes in tomato were lower than in the presence of the control treatment, but the expression levels of the defense-related genes of the plants in the salicylic acid and jasmonic acid pathways were enhanced. It was also found that strain SQY 162 could secrete antibiotic surfactin, but not volatile organic compounds, to suppress Ralstonia. The strain could also produce plant growth promotion compounds such as siderophores and indole-3-acetic acid. Thus, owing to its innate multiple-functional traits and its broad biocontrol activities, we found that this antagonistic strain isolated from the tobacco rhizosphere could establish itself successfully in the tomato rhizosphere to control soilborne diseases.
Modeling and Coordinated Control of Multiple Mobile Manipulators with Closed-chain Constraints

This study deals with the kinematics modeling and corresponding controller design for multiple mobile manipulators to achieve tightly cooperative tasks. Since closed-chain constraints in the connected robots and object, a novel method is proposed different from the existing schemes. Here, an idea is that motion transmissions are obtained over the proposed jointly topology which composes formulated key points and virtual kinematic chains ingeniously. Without knowing the global states for each robot in the proposed kinematic model and communication topology, a coordinated control is designed by integrating formation with distributed adaptive strategies. Mobile platforms run the coordinated controllers with partial states to guarantee pose synchronization, while keeping the desired formation. For the motions of manipulators, distributed control method works in combination with adaptive strategy to ensure that the network of manipulators achieve motion coordination. Two simulation scenarios with six and two mobile manipulators are employed for cooperative tasks, respectively. The practicability is verified through an experiment. Our proposed method suits not only for theoretical and numerical simulation but also can be applied to real-world tasks. The results show a coordination improvement compared with well-known controllers.

A newly discovered alkaline antifungal protease named P6 from Bacillus subtilis N7 was purified and partially characterized. B. subtilis N7 culture filtrates were purified by 30–60% (NH4)2SO4 precipitation, anion-exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromatography. Sodium dodecyl sulfatepolyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) revealed a single band of 41.38 kDa. Peptide sequence of protease P6 was determined using a 4800 Plus MALDI TOF/TOFTM Analyzer System. Self-Formed Adaptor PCR (SEFA-PCR) was used to amplify the 1,149 bp open read frame of P6. Dimensional structure prediction using Automatic Modeling Mode software showed that the protease P6 consisted of two β-barrel domains. Purified P6 strongly inhibited spore and mycelium growth of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerium (FOC) by causing hypha lysis when the concentration was 25 μg/ml. Characterization of the purified protease indicated that it had substrate specificity for gelatin and was highly active at pH 8.0–10.6 and 70°C. The P6 protease was inhibited by EDTA (2 mmol/L), phenyl methyl sulfonyl fluoride (PMSF, 1 mmol/L), Na+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Mg2+ (5 mmol/L each) and H2O2 (2%, v/v). However, protease activity was activated by Ca2+, K+, Mn2+ (5 mmol/L each), mercaptoethanol (2%, v/v) and Tween 80 (1%, v/v). In additon, activity was also affected by organic solvents such as acetone, normal butanol and ethanol, but not hexane (25%, v/v each).
