      • 새로운 구조의 fiber Fabry-Perot filter를 사용한 파장가변 단일방향 EDF ring 레이저

        We made the tunable unidirectional Er-doped fiber(EDF) ring laser by using new fiber Fabry-Perot(FP) filter. Filter has been built with simple construction, with does not require any additional aligning and beam-confining components for the reduction of the diffraction. Fiber FP tunable filter whose free spectral range and finess is 60 nm and 500 respectively. Wavelength tunable range over 60 nm(1520-1580nm) has been achieved.

        The purpose of this study was to develop the computer program to compare physical fitness of Hanyang Academy Employes with it's mean of korean people, and to promote physical fitness with motivation and interest in the physical fit- ness of them. But if user should be tested self-level of physical fitness, this program can't be use for physical fitness by assisting tile research institute for sport science on Hanyang University. This program were divided into 4 domains, tile first is area for comparison ac- cording to the way of attendance to office, the second is area for comparison physique and obesity, the third is area for comparison physical fitness with korean people's mean. The final is area for exercise prescription. As added, we want to serve the physical fitness promotion of Hanyang academy employes using this program.

        德溪 吳健의 哲學思想 考察

        이 논문은 조선 중기에 활동한 德溪 吳健(1521년~1574년)의 철학사상에 관한 고찰이다. 德溪는 조선 士禍가 끝나고 士林이 중앙 정계에 본격적으로 진출할 무렵에 중앙 정계에서 정치가로 활약하였을 뿐 아니라 학문적으로 일정한 성취가 있어서 退溪 뿐만 南冥으로부터 인정을 받았으며, 栗谷이나 西涯와도 두터운 친분을 나누었다 아울러 鄭寒岡을 제자로 기르고 자신의 저술을 남김으로써 자신의 학술을 후세에 큰 족적을 남겼다. 德溪는 『中庸』의 철학에 근거하여 高明한 天과 厚博한 地 사이에 만물이 번성하고 인간이 살아가는데 이는 陰陽의 鬼神 같은 작용이 있기 때문이며, 궁극적으로는 理에 의한 것이라고 한다. 이러한 天地間에서 인간은 자신의 性과 命을 바르게 인식하고 보존하면 天地에 참여하여 중립할 수 있는 존재라고 德溪는 본다. 다음으로 德溪는 배움을 아는 것에 그치는 것이 아니라 실천까지 포함한다고 본다. 德溪는 학문의 길인 居敬과 窮理 두 가지는 수레의 두 바퀴와 같이 서로 돕는 것이라고 한다. 셋째 德溪는 進學에는 遜志가 필요하며 納諫에는 虛心이 필요하다고 한다. 遜志는 謙遜이고 虛心은 마음의 비움이며 遜志는 敬에 가깝고 虛心은 誠에 가깝다고 德溪는 본다. 더불어 遜志-敬과 虛心-誠 중에서 德溪는 敬-遜志의 노선을 우선하는 것이라고 파악한다. 이렇게 볼 때 德溪는 정통적인 성리학자로서 述而不作의 전통 아래에서 여러 이론을 수용하여 자신의 철학이론을 이루었다고 하겠다. This essay aims to explore about a philosophical ideology of Deokgye Oh Keon(1521∼1574). Firstly, Deokgye asserts that all creation flourishes and humans maintain to live in the world between the high and bright Heaven and the deep and wide Earth on the basis of a philosophy of 『The Doctrine of the Mean』 and this is because that there is a function such as Yin-yang(陰陽) and therefore it results in Yi(理). He considers that humans in the world are the existences who can participate in the heaven and earth and so that that can remain neutral when they comprehend their Seong(性) and Myung(命) correctly and retain them. Secondly, Deokgye assures that learning is not simply knowing about something but authenticating it through practice. He believes that the two principles - Keo-gyong(居敬) and Goong-ri(窮理) helps each other like two wheels of the cart. Thirdly, according to Deokgye, Jin-hak(進學) needs Son-ji(遜志) and Nap-kan(納諫) needs Heo-shima(虛心). He explains that Son-ji means Kyum-son(謙遜) and Heo-shim means opening our mind and Son-ji is close to Kyung(敬) and Heo-shim is close to Seong(誠). Consequently, Deokgye is an orthodox philosopher of the doctrine of Chu-tsu and further establishes up his own philosophical theory accepting a number of theories under a tradition of Sool-yi-boo-jak(述而不作).

        The incidence of aseptic meningitis infection is ensuing and threatening the health of children. Enteroviruses are the major agents of aseptic meningitis and identification of virus has been a clue to diagnosis and epidemiology. The outbreak of aseptic meningitis occurred in Pusan, 1998. Patients were concentrated from April through November. Children were more susceptible than adults. Among 306 cases of specimens from stool, throat swab tested, only 7.2% were positive on virus isolation, 12 cases from stool and 10 from throat, respectively. All isolated 7 serotypes of viruses represented cytopathic effect on cultured cells. Three types of echovirus 6, 25, 30 and coxsackievirus B2, B3, B4, B6 were identified by neutralizing anti body test. Isolated coxsackievirus and echovirus were observed by an electron microscope with negative staining.

        This study was designed to investigate whether two population groups of. E. lzistolytica and T. homi,Fis exist together in the same ecological environment or not. Two protozoan parasites were cultivated at once in modified diphasic medium (Faust & Russell, 1964), and checked the trends of population variance daily or two-days interval. Sodium and potassium contents, and pH levels in the media were respectively measured. The results are summarized as follows: 1. In the media in which Ea hislolytica and Ts honzinis were cultured simultaneously, the former annihilated on the third subculture and yet the latter showed continuous increase. 2. In the media in which the single species was cultured, both E. histolytica and T. honzinis multiplied increasingly, though the latter was more conspicuous. 3. In the mixed group without subculture, all the Ea histolytica diminished within 96 hours, while Ts hominis survived even until 144 hours. The performation of subculture for Ts hominis may be permitted in modified diphasic medium once a week. 4. In the single culture groups without subculture, E. histolytica disappeared within 144 hours, but Ts hominis survived up to 144 hours. 5. In the media containing Ts hominis the amounts of sodium and potassium increased to higher level at 144 hours to compare the value at 24 hours, whereas the amounts in the media containing Ea histolytica decreased gradually. As shown in above results, the mixei cultivation with E.histolylica and Ts hominis was unadvisable in modified diphasic medium due to more exceptional multiplication of T. hominis than E. histolytica.

      • 광섬유 Mach-Zehnder 간섭계 센서를 사용한 압력과 스트레인 측정

        A fiber optic Mach-Zehnder interferometric sensor to measure both pressure and strain is analyzed utilizing the pressure- and strain-induced phase shift in coherent light wave propagating through an single-mode optical fiber. And then the Mach-Zehnder interferometer is experimentally implemented to confirm the analysis. For the dynamic case, the average values measured with respect to pressure ad strain sensitivities of one fringe displacement are 67.762 kPa and 1.111-6. For the quasi-static case, the values measured for one fringe displacement are 16.941 kPa and 0.2778?10-6. Taking into account the experimental uncertainty due to the drift in interference fringe position owing mainly to the environmental lower frequency noise and the differences between the exact parameter values for fibers used in the experiments and the typical values of a fused silica fibers, the results obtained by the experiments are in good agreement with those calculated.

        Proteomics is the study of the "proteome" or the entire protein complement of a genome. It is now well-established that proteomics is far more complex than simply cataloguing all the proteins present in a cell or organism at a given time. Proteomics now includes not only the identification of proteins or the study of protein expression pattern but also the understanding of post-translational processing of proteins or protein-protein interaction, which often result in the alteration of protein stability, localization and/or function. Here we briefly summarize how proteomics has been evolved during the last decade and review a few crucial techniques widely used in the proteomic studies, such as 2-DE and mass spectrometry. Moreover, we discuss the applications of proteomic tools in related research areas and its potentials in drug discovery and the study of diseases.
