Minimum permanents on two faces of the polytope of doubly stochastic matrices
Pula, K.,Song, S.Z.,Wanless, I.M. North Holland [etc.] 2011 Linear algebra and its applications Vol.434 No.1
We consider the minimum permanents and minimising matrices on the faces of the polytope of doubly stochastic matrices whose nonzero entries coincide with those of, respectively,Um,n=InJn,mJm,n0mandVm,n=InJn,mJm,nJm,m. Here Jr,s denotes the rxs matrix all of whose entries are 1, In is the identity matrix of order n and 0m is the mxm zero matrix. We conjecture that Vm,n is cohesive but not barycentric for 1<n<m+m and that it is not cohesive for n≥m+m. We prove that it is cohesive for 1<n<m+m and not cohesive for n≥2m and confirm the conjecture computationally for n<2m≤200. We also show that Um,n is barycentric.
Electrical properties of oxide thin film transistor with ZrO₂ gate dielectrics
Pulak Chandra Debnath(푸락 천드러 데프낫),Jae Sang Lee(이재상),Sang Yeol Lee(이상렬) 대한전기학회 2009 대한전기학회 학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.7
In this paper we have presented recent studies concerning the high performance oxide thin film transistor (TFT) with a-IGZO channel and ZrO₂ gate dielectrics. The a-IGZO TFT is fully fabricated at room-temperature without any thermal treatments. The ZrO₂ is one of the most promising high-k materials with high capacitance originated from the high dielectric constant. The a-IGZO TFT with ZrO₂ shows high performance exhibiting high field effect mobility of 39.82 ㎠/Vs and high on-current of 2.52 ㎃ at 10V.

Landsat operational land imager (OLI) data and consequent laboratory measurements were used to predict chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration and the trophic states for an inland lake within the East Kolkata Wetland, India (a Ramsar site). The most suitable band ratio was identified by performing Pearson correlation analysis between Chla concentrations and possible OLI band and band ratios from the study points. The results showed highest correlation coefficient from the band ratio OLI5/OLI4 with an R value of 0.85. The prediction model was then developed by applying regression analysis between the band ratio OLI5/OLI4 and Chl-a concentration of the study points. The reflectance ratios of the validation points were given as input on the prediction model and the model output was considered as predicted Chl-a values of the validation points to check the efficiency of the prediction model. The regression model between laboratory-derived Chl-a value and model-fitted Chl-a value of the validation points revealed a high correlation with an R2 value of 0.78. Trophic State Index (TSI) of the lake was also calculated from laboratory-derived Chl-a value and model-fitted Chla value of the validation points. The study presented a high correlation of TSI determined from predicted data with TSI from laboratory reference data (R = 0.88). The TSI values of the lake ranged from 65 to 75 which indicate that the lake is appeared to be eutrophic to hypereutrophic conditions. This empirical study showed that Landsat 8 OLI imagery can be effectively applied to estimate Chla levels and trophic states for inland lakes.

In this paper, we investigate the $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ order and $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ type of $f_1+f_2$, $f_1f_2$ and $\frac{f_1}{f_2}$, where $f_1$ and $f_2$ are analytic or meromorphic functions with the same $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ order and different $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ type in the unit disc. Also, we study the $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ order and $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ type of different $f$ and its derivative. At the end, we investigate the relationship between two different $\left[p,q\right]-\phi$ convergence exponents of $f$. We extend some earlier precedent well known results.
Meromorphic Functions Sharing a Nonzero Polynomial IM
Sahoo, Pulak Department of Mathematics 2013 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.53 No.2
We study the uniqueness of meromorphic functions concerning nonlinear differential polynomials sharing a nonzero polynomial IM. Though the main concern of the paper is to improve a recent result of the present author [12], as a consequence of the main result we also generalize two recent results of X. M. Li and L. Gao [11].
Weighted Value Sharing and Uniqueness of Entire Functions
Sahoo, Pulak Department of Mathematics 2011 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.51 No.2
In the paper, we study with weighted sharing method the uniqueness of entire functions concerning nonlinear differential polynomials sharing one value and prove two uniqueness theorems, first one of which generalizes some recent results in [10] and [16]. Our second theorem will supplement a result in [17].
Uniqueness of Entire Functions Sharing Polynomials with Their Derivatives
Sahoo, Pulak,Biswas, Gurudas Department of Mathematics 2018 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.58 No.3
In this paper, we investigate the uniqueness problem of entire functions sharing two polynomials with their k-th derivatives. We look into the conjecture given by $L{\ddot{u}}$, Li and Yang [Bull. Korean Math. Soc., 51(2014), 1281-1289] for the case $F=f^nP(f)$, where f is a transcendental entire function and $P(z)=a_mz^m+a_{m-1}z^{m-1}+{\ldots}+a_1z+a_0({\not{\equiv}}0)$, m is a nonnegative integer, $a_m,a_{m-1},{\ldots},a_1,a_0$ are complex constants and obtain a result which improves and generalizes many previous results. We also provide some examples to show that the conditions taken in our result are best possible.

<P>Multilayer graphene is synthesized by a simplified process employing an evaporator in which a target substrate is deposited with a Ni catalyst layer before being heated to grow graphene directly. Carbon atoms adsorbed onto the surface of the Ni source as impurities from the atmosphere are incorporated into the catalyst layer during the deposition, and diffuse toward the catalyst/substrate interface, where they crystallize as graphene with a thickness of less than 2 nm. The need for a transfer process and external carbon supply is eliminated. The graphene is characterized by conventional analysis approaches, including nano-scale visualization and Raman spectroscopy, and utilizing photonics, graphene-functionalized passive laser mode-locking is demonstrated to confirm the successful synthesis of the graphene layer, resulting in an operating center wavelength of 1569.4 nm, a pulse duration of 1.35 ps, and a repetition rate of 31.6 MHz.</P>

BANERJEE, ABHIJIT,SAHOO, PULAK Department of Mathematics 2015 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.55 No.3
With the notion of weighted sharing of values we study the uniqueness of meromorphic functions when certain nonlinear differential polynomials share a nonzero polynomial. Our results improve some recent results including that of a present first author.
