Weak magnetic field accelerates chromate removal by zero-valent iron

<P>Weak magnetic field (WMF) was employed to improve the removal of Cr(VI) by zero-valent iron (ZVI) for the first time. The removal rate of Cr(VI) was elevated by a factor of 1.12-5.89 due to the application of a WMF, and the WMF-induced improvement was more remarkable at higher Cr(VI) concentration and higher pH. Fe2+ was not detected until Cr(VI) was exhausted, and there was a positive correlation between the WMF-induced promotion factor of Cr(VI) removal rate and that of Fe2+ release rate in the absence of Cr(VI) at pH4.0-5.5. These phenomena imply that ZVI corrosion with Fe2+ release was the limiting step in the process of Cr(VI) removal. The superimposed WMF had negligible influence on the apparent activation energy of Cr(VI) removal by ZVI, indicating that WMF accelerated Cr(VI) removal by ZVI but did not change the mechanism. The passive layer formed with WMF was much more porous than without WMF, thereby facilitating mass transport. Therefore, WMF could accelerate ZVI corrosion and alleviate the detrimental effects of the passive layer, resulting in more rapid removal of Cr(VI) by ZVI. Exploiting the magnetic memory of ZVI, a two-stage process consisting of a small reactor with WMF for ZVI magnetization and a large reactor for removing contaminants by magnetized ZVI can be employed as a new method of ZVI-mediated remediation.</P>

本研究的目的是寻找网站标志设计与多形态标志设计的共同性, 由此找出网站标志设计的共性。为此, 从本文内容从Logo Doodle的出现为基础, 针对目前全球著名的三大三大搜索引擎网站的标志为例, 进行案例分析, 通过对网站标志多样性表现的形式和内容的特点进行分析归纳, 分析网站标志设计与多形态标志设计的共性, 最终完成本文的研究内容。本研究结果显示, 网站的Logo Doodle的表现形式与多形态标志的表现形式有着共同的特点。将多形式标志的设计方法运用于网页的建设中, 将其运用于网页的多形式标识的设计中, 以此对今后的发展中的网站起到借鉴作用。 The purpose of this study is to find the commonality between website logo design and Flexible logo design, so as to find out the commonality of website logo design. Therefore, based on the content of this article from the emergence of Logo Doodle, the case analysis is carried out for the logos of the three major search engine websites in the world. Through the analysis and induction of the form and content characteristics of the website logo diversity, the commonality of website logo design and Flexible logo design is analyzed, and the research content of this article is finally completed. The results of this study show that the expression form of Logo Doodle on the website has common characteristics with the expression form of polymorphic markers. The design method of Flexible logo is applied to the construction of web pages, and it is applied to the design of Flexible logo of web pages, so as to play a reference role in the future development of websites.

Background: Myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI) is an important mechanism of post-myocardial infarction injury and a main cause of death in patients with ischemic heart disease. Electroacupuncture (EA) pretreatment is effective for the prevention and treatment of MIRI, but mechanisms mediating the effects of cardiovascular disease EA treatments remain unclear. Objectives: To determine whether the lateral hypothalamus (LHA) and the cerebellar fastigial nucleus (FN) are involved in the protective effects of EA stimulation on MIRI. Methods: EA pretreatment was performed for 7 days before the establishment of the MIRI model. ST-segment changes on electrocardiograms were recorded and the Curtis–Walker arrhythmia score was used to evaluate changes in reperfusion injury. Hematoxylin–eosin staining was applied to evaluate the pathological and morphological changes in myocardial tissue. c-fos expression in the LHA and FN was determined by immunofluorescence staining. Glutamic (Glu) and γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels were measured using a high-performance liquid chromatography-electrochemical method. Results: EA pretreatment reduced ST-segment elevation, arrhythmia scores, and morphological changes in MIRI myocardial cells in rats, and decreased the c-fos protein expression in LHA/FN nuclei. MIRI was associated with an imbalance between GABA and Glu levels, whereas EA pretreatment increased GABA levels and decreased Glu levels in the LHA/FN. Conclusion: FN and LHA are involved in the EA-mediated attenuation of MIRI. Pretreatment with EA plays a protective role in the myocardium by regulating Glu and GABA release in the LHA and FN.
Design of a Fresnel Lens for a Solar End-pumped Solid-state Laser

A novel design for a Fresnel lens for a solar end-pumped laser is demonstrated in this paper. The new hybrid Fresnel lens includes two parts, inner and outer. The inner part is a twice-total-internal-reflection and vertical-transmission lens. The outer part is a once-total-reflection and vertical-transmission lens. The radius of the Fresnel lens is 600 mm, and its focal length is 750 mm. The concentrating performance of the Fresnel lens is examined using TracePro. The results show that the concentration efficiency has been greatly improved. The total concentration efficiency of the hybrid Fresnel lens reaches 73.2% when the radius of the laser rod is 3 mm. This design can simplify the concentration system of a solar endpumped solid-state laser.
Thermodynamic Assessment of the Pbo-Zro_2 System

The thermodynamic properties and phase diagram of the PbO-Zro_2 system have been critically assessed using the Thermo-Cale program. Excess Gibbs energies were expressed by Redlich-Kister polynomials for the solid phases, by the two-sublattice ionic liquid model for the liquid phase and by the compound energy model for the solid solution phase. All solid phases were treated as stoichiometric compounds.
