NAZIR, Munawir,MURDIFIN, Imaduddin,PUTRA, Aditya Halim Perdana Kusuma,HAMZAH, Nasir,MURFAT, Moch Zulkifli Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.6
The purpose of this study is to investigate the economic potential of the regions from the mining sector of North Morowali, Central-Sulawesi, Indonesia, and the formulation of pro-business regional development management that aims to create synergy between the local government and mining sector entrepreneurs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by taking data in the form of primary data from FGD and secondary data observations from statistical bureau data in the North Morowali, Indonesia. The analysis unit uses SWOT analysis to determine the economic potential of the North Morowali and Location Quotient (LQ) to analyze the economic potential of the mining sector. The research period covers one year (2018-2019) in North Morowali, Indonesia. All the mining products have considerable potential as a financing unit in North Morowali, while mining potential has not been maximally exploited. The absence of regulations, facilities such as road access, and optimal land and sea transportation are the causes of the difficulty of optimization and access to explore mining products comprehensively. As a new province at Central Sulawesi, more efforts and the role of government are needed to focus attention to North Morowali as an area with great potential in the mining sector.
Effect of water temperature on air-core generation and disappearance during draining
Nazir, Kamran,Sohn, Chang Hyun Springer-Verlag 2018 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.32 No.2
<P>Understanding the air-core development during the draining of liquid from a cylindrical tank is of particular interest because this phenomenon has multiple engineering applications. In this study, experiments are performed for draining water of different temperatures from a cylindrical tank. Results show that the air-core generation and disappearance during draining depend on the temperature of the water in the tank, in which the total draining time increases with the water temperature. A correlation is proposed to predict the water height with time during draining. A numerical study is then performed for some of the temperature cases. Numerical and correlation results show a good agreement with the experimental data. Findings show that viscosity plays an important role behind the mechanism of air-core generation and disappearance phenomena.</P>

Phenol is a toxic pollutant found in effluent ofnumerous industries and its elimination is a foremost challenge. The utilization of bacteria plays a crucial role in phenol bioremediation. For isolation of phenol degrading bacteria, sample was collectedfrom industrial waste and enriched in mineral salt medium (MSM)contained 300 mg/L phenol. The strain was identified based on16S rRNA gene analysis as Pseudomonas species and thephylogenetic analysis affiliated the strain with Pseudomonasmonteilii (AF064458) as the most closely related species. Phenoltolerance of the strain in MSM supplemented with variousconcentrations of phenol indicates that the strain NCCP-407 cangrow best at 750 mg L−1 phenol. The strain showed completedegradation of 750 mg L−1 phenol in 56 hours when supplementas a sole source of carbon and energy with the average degradationrate of 28mg L−1 h−1. The doubling time was recorded approximatelyas 12.49 h−1. The present study suggests that this strain is efficientin phenol degradation and can be used in treatment of wastewatercontaining phenol.

In recent years, the induction machines are increasingly being used as self-excited induction generators (SEIG). This generator is especially widely employed for small-scale power plants driven by renewable energy sources. The application of power electronic components in the induction generator control (IGC) and the loading of SEIG using nonlinear loads will generate harmonic currents. This paper analyzes the propogation of harmonic currents on the SEIG with nonlinear loads. Transfer function method in the frequency domain is used to calculate the gain and phase angle of each harmonic current component which are generated by a nonlinear loads. Through the superposition approach, this method has also been used to analyze the propagation of harmonic currents from nonlinear load to the stator windings. The simulation for the propagation of harmonic currents for a 4 pole, 1.5 kW, 50Hz, 3.5A, Y-connected, rotor-cage SEIG with energy-saving lamps, have provided results almost the same with the experiment. It can prove that the validity of the proposed models and methods. The study results showed that the propagation of harmonic currents on the stator windings rejects high order harmonics and attenuates low order harmonics, consequently THDI diminish significantly on the stator windings.

Full Potential Linearised Augmented Plane Wave (FP-LAPW) method was used to investigate the electronic and magnetic properties of NiO doped with Hf and Ta within the frame work of density functional theory (DFT). NiO is found to be stable in rock salt structure. NiO shows conducting characteristics for the lattice constant of 4.155 Å. Doping Hf and Ta in the metallic super cell of NiO separately in the doping concentration of 12.5%, the compounds Hf0.125Ni0.875O and Ta0.125Ni0.875O are formed. These compounds of Hf0.125Ni0.875O and Ta0.125Ni0.875O are predicted to exhibit stability in the ferromagnetic phase. The density of states and band structure plots predict that these compounds exhibit half metallic character with formation of energy gap in one of the spins at the Fermi level. The total spin magnetic moments found in these compounds are 12.00689 μB and 10.97628 μB.
Humanization of Education in Pakistan through Freire's Concept of Literacy
Nazir Raja 서울대학교 교육연구소 2005 Asia Pacific Education Review Vol.6 No.1
Pakistan is an underdeveloped country, full of socio-economic problems where a few oppress and exploit many. One of the most significant reasons, in this context, is the high illiteracy rate in the country. However, can high literacy rates guarranty peace, prosperity, and justice in any society? Clearly, not. There are several countries where the literacy rate is very high yet it remains relatively under-developed. However, it is also a fact that the countries where the literacy rate is high have been able to emerge as economic powers. In this regard, Freire’s concept of literacy education is very helpful in that it is essentially hopeful in nature and it is this optimism which gives it the potential to transform oppressive situations.

<P>As one of the newly discovered transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), rhenium disulfide (ReS2) has been investigated mostly because of its unique characteristics such as the direct band gap nature even in bulk form, which is not prominent in other TMDs (e.g., MoS2, WSe2, etc.). However, this material possesses a low mobility and an on/off ratio, which restrict its usage in high-speed and fast switching applications. Low mobilities or on/off ratios can also be caused by substrate scattering as well as environmental effects. In this study, we used few-layer ReS2 (FL-ReS2) as a channel material to investigate the substrate-dependent mobility, current on/off ratio, Schottky barrier height (SBH), and trap density of states of different dielectric substrates. The hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN)/FL-ReS2/h-BN structure was observed to exhibit a high mobility of 45 cm2 V-1 s-1, current on/off ratio of about 107, the lowest SBH of about 12 mV at a zero back-gate voltage (<I>V</I>bg), and a low trap density of states of about 5 × 1013 cm-3. These quantities are reasonably superior compared to the FL-ReS2 devices on SiO2 substrates. We also observed a nearly 5-fold improvement in the photoresponsivity and external quantum efficiency values for the FL-ReS2 devices on h-BN substrates. We believe that the photonic characteristics of TMDs can be improved by using h-BN as the substrate and capping layer.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
